Hey there, magic does a screen wide hit to enemies.  I was rushing to meet a deadline before posting. I'll try to add an effect in the update.

So,  the Song seems to be a bit hard, so I'll have to fix it. 
I used RPGMaker and built in assets for the most part. 

The Theme was 3, so 3 paths. 

3 boss fights, 

and three sets of armor to find.

About the text, I agree but I haven't been able to get a script working that auto install the font and the default font is not my cup of tea. 

With physical techniques, the cost and damage scale. At base their pretty low but at higher levels they're essential. I always worry about making skills too strong for early enemies and such.

I'm glad you enjoyed so much of the game and I hope you play more when it's finished. 

I'll have to add a character mention to go to the Hunter's Guild in the center of Thebes. The building marked with the bow. 

They take the slime and give gold and other rewards. 

A nice space shooter demo!
Needs some sound effects though.

I'm using rpgmaker XP which is an older engine and doesn't really have the best options in terms of scaling for different resolutions.

I'm sorry you didn't like the battles, I will be re-balancing the enemies, not sure what caused the infinite slime but I'll test around to see what happened. If you could link me to the stream so i could check the exact troop/ area it would be appreciated.

Glaring problems is a bit of an indictment, I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. 

Glad you like the writing. It's a big focus of mine. 

Desaturation is a note I've gotten a lot. I will make sure to adjust the graphics as I can for the final release.

A good platformer, wasn't a big fan of the scream sound effect and the jumps were a bit too floaty for me. But looks great. 

A little hard to get the hang of managing two ships at once but really looks good and  plays smoothly. 

I'm big on simplicity, but your game is inspired by final fantasy so the job system makes sense.

It is a compelling project for sure. I enjoyed the time I spent on it.

This game is amazing. Great style, great ui, it's all the good parts of retro gaming with a lot of modernization that makes it a breeze to play. I will say when I beat a cultist I was underleveled against I was very happy. The game really feels polished. I did have a bit of choice anxiety at the beginning with so many options for hero generation. 

Your game is quite polished. You really wear the inspiration in a way that make it your own. Great work!

The graphics were really cute.  Your game is quite stylish. I didn't really gel with the controls at first but once I got the handle of things it was a nice experience. 

The music was good at first but there was a flute or something high pitched that really messed with my ears. Had to turn the volume down for that. 

Overall a great game though.
