Unfortunately I wasn't able to play your game but the theme sounds really cool and unique!
(I did not rate since I can't give feedback)
This was a great game!
The design was very unique and engaging, and I particularly like how you have an introductory character who goes over the combat in the training mode and the plot in the main quest mode. Added a lot compared to simple text.
The combat is engaging and varied, I like the different levels of attack and then the defend, all of which are clearly communicated to me and feel nice to use. I found out that you could defend and then strong attack, which I don't know if was intentional but it was still fun!
The UI is great and communicates to me exactly what I need to know, I especially liked knowing how close I was to defeating an enemy.
Great job, I enjoyed it!
This was a fun game!
I liked the openness of the zone, allowing you to move around freely which is very unique in a 2D beat em up. However I felt that for that openness there's got to be a reason to move around, which if there's not collectables (such as in the chests) you aren't really encouraged to move since enemies will come to you.
The enemy designs are varied and have different attacks which I thought was really fun!
I do wish that the text for the introduction and game over screens were more easily visible on the screen. I like the concept of what you had but for instance when I first booted the game it was hard to see the controls and then they went away. I also wish there was a always ticking time in the corner or something because until I died I didn't know there was an end state or what I was trying to get to!
The combat felt fluid and engaging and it was fun trying to get as many enemies on me without getting hit, then mass attacking!
Overall great game, I just had some overall QoL improvements that could make the game more engaging! Great job!
This was a fun game!
When I was replaying it the other day I found the ability to jump combined with the move speed allowed me to quickly dodge enemy attacks, and the gameplay ending up being super fun and varied! One thing I wish that there was maybe that the attack speed is increased, I felt it was a little slow. But the actual attacking is great, and clearly communicated to the player.
Combat idle mode I was unclear on what it specifically did, or if I was using it correctly. Most of the time I just standard attacked because the enemies would get me out of idle very quickly. Cool concept though!
The design of the game was unique and interesting, I enjoyed the design of the map, very much reminded me of 2D beat em ups! I wish there were more varied enemies, and music however!
Overall super fun game, and I can tell that effort was put into it! I really enjoyed the high score aspect, as it kept me playing as I wanted to break past 30! Great job!
This was a really fun and innovative game! I could tell you put a lot of effort into it, and it shows in the end product.
The gameplay is very engaging, the attacks feel great, and are varied they do what they are supposed to! Because of that I was forced to change the way that I attack different enemies which is awesome.
I really like the environments and overall design of this game, it feels unique and interesting. When I first started the game for some reason I was reminded of the Macalania Forest in Final Fantasy X, specifically when you catch butterflies. I don't know if that was even an inspiration but I really liked it regardless since I really like the ambience of forests like that!
The ability to control the music volume, and the level differences in music and design are awesome.
The only thing I can critique is that I wish there was more of a plot, I like the idea of waking in a forest, but maybe after every level you learn a little more or something?
All in all a great game, and awesome job!
