I liked it! Cute graphics style, some nice easygoing music and sfx. The gameplay is fast, easy to pickup and fun. The only bit I struggled with at first was understanding where to go when I first spawned. I eventually worked out that the black squares where entrances to other rooms, but I guess because they blended in with the wall I missed them. Overall, really nice game with a simple but enjoyable concept!

I made it to stage 5! I think the shooting feels satisfying, but the game might benefit from some obstacles in the room to give the player more of an environment to interact with. I liked the variation of enemies. Good stuff.

Yep, you’re right, we used up all of our time and I wish I’d saved some more time to work on the AI. Thanks for playing!

Thanks a lot, we're glad you liked it!

I'm happy to give feedback for anybody in return for them having a look at our game! https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-77-courage/rate/984158

Hey, I really like the game! Nice, simple but effective graphics. Levels build in complexity as you progress, which is good. It might be good to add a space-like background to the levels with stars or perhaps if you're on a planet, it could be a planet surface background. The music gets a little repetitive, but it's a catchy tune so it's not so much of an issue. Overall - a tight, fun experience!

I'd appreciate if you could check mine out as well!

I'll check it out and rate!

Holy... this looks REALLY clean visually and thematically considering we only had 3 days. Even the tutorial feels polished! Your eye for a colour palette is great. Sound design and music is pretty good.  Most people look at the limitation and instantly think "space" or "alien planet", you took it and came up with something completely unique. Nice job!

I can't believe this only has 2 ratings haha! A really nice, VERY polished experience albeit a short one. I like that you went a different route and decided to lock players into a gamepad, but you used the gamepad's unique control system to make gameplay that feels completely different from anything else in this jam. Really cool stuff. I'd love to see more from you guys!

You use visuals to both intrigue and teach the player about the game. Really smart. I can safely say this is unlike anything else that I've seen in the Jam, really unique style, visually and gameplay wise. Cool stuff! You've clearly put a lot of work into the aesthetics and theme of this.

Quite challenging - but that's a good thing IMO. I really like the concept, and the way you tell a story that runs alongside the gameplay is clever. The mechanics sort of remind me of something you'd see in Super Meat Boy. Nice graphics and sound. Good job!

Wow, I personally feel like this has an impressive amount of polish for having been made in under 3 days. Love the gameplay concept, I haven't played anything like this before. Graphics and audio worked well together to make a cool game. I also liked the backstory you told in the How To Play section!

Hey.. this is actually a really unique and interesting concept! I like your show-don't-tell method of teaching the player how the mechanics and level design work. I think it's really smart. If it was me, the next thing I would add is some sound effects and music to give it more impact and polish. Cool idea and game!

Hey, nice game! I like the almost "lo-fi" graphics style. The models suit the theme pretty well, cool characters. All around a game with a pretty chill vibe and a simple but really nice story. I think it's good that you included instructions before the game started, helped me actually feel like I knew what I was doing. A lot of people miss that and it's confusing. Nice job!

Wow - really clean looking game! You've got a unique approach to visuals that suits the arcade-like feel of the game. Music and SFX go well with that theme too. Overall a tight experience. I like that you've included the menu on front - a lot of people overlook music and sound sliders. I wish we'd thought of that. Nice job!

First of all - you have some really nice "juice" in there. The flashing enemies. The SFX. Makes the game feel more visceral and impactful when you play. I like the music and graphics, and controls feel snappy and responsive. I actually like how you've experimented with the placement of the UI and put the hearts next to the character, and they turn with him - pretty cool and makes them easy to see whilst your playing. Really good enemy pathfinding. Overall, really good job!

I know the pain of staying up late to get those last finishing touches on. I know you didn't want people to vote yet, so I won't - but I played your guys' game just for fun and really liked it. I think the graphics are nice and crisp, they work well. I like your take on the "cannot be set on earth" limitation, I'm guessing we're in Hell here. I think it might help if you include a little slide with controls or something just before the game starts. Overall, really nice job! Fun concept.

Nice work! The graphics and animations work well and look really nice. GREAT sound design in general, especially with the green monster. Nice music. I would add a little information page at the start to tell players what their objective is, who the main character is - that sort of thing. Good work!
