Congrats! I really enjoyed playing and I also appreciate you took time to add a story, characters and dialogs in between dialog! It really gives the game a unique flair and makes it even more polished.

Very polished entry with simple but solid controls and mechanics. Would make a great mobile game.

Man, I love puzzle games, it's pretty rare to have those in jams. I had fun experimenting around in this game, trying out stuff and figuring out the solution.

There's kind of an annoying thing that bothered me tho: when it's the game's turn to play and move, the screen freeze for like 1 second...

But overall, it's not very important, just wanted to mention it. Good job!

I thought it was a relaxing game at first and oh boy, not it isn't xD

Great aesthetic, game mechanic (simple to learn, hard to master) , and ambient sounds, it's really fun (and stressfull!) to play, great entry!

The control + W is indeed annoying :/

I think you have a pretty decent game and I like the idea of the delivery while upgrading your balloon. It's pretty fun! But sounds and a better feedback when you're colliding would make it even more enjoyable. Maybe a more far away camera? And allowing the player to rotate the camera around freely?

Also the worm scares the shit out of me everytime he comes by xD he's so fast and comes out of nowhere. I don't know if he's following a set path or not but the way he's movement scares me (in a good way)

It's pretty decent gameplay-wise, very simple but it works. The art style and the humor tho! That makes this game stand out. It was just a very fun and pleasant 5 minutes! You did a perfect job with this entry! The theme is perfectly fitting, and the music is catchy and also suit this type of game.

I usually try to point out things that could be improved, but I have nothing to say this time, it's just good as it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My goodness, that must be one of the most polished game of the jam!

I personally think you spent way too much time on the title screen. I mean c'mon, a lot of commercial games on steam don't even look that good...

It even have an animated instructions to teach the player the controls... and look how cute that character looks! ^o^

Ok, joking aside, the game sounds and looks fantastic!

On the bad things, I have to say the game is too much punitive for my taste and it feels to hard straight from the beginning. Maybe I'm just bad, but hitting the "spinning" button when you're on a donut to double jump seems... yeah too hard, I keep missing. Maybe it needs to be more forgiving when you enter the trigger, either by making it bigger or allowing to still make the just for a few more milliseconds after exiting the trigger. Or maybe I just sucks at platformers 8-)

Still, great works!

Thank you for the nice comment! I'm glad you had fun.

About the glitch, maybe you didn't move far enough from the starting area? Ships don't respawn from an area (which is... a bad choice from my part, but lack of time, you know ^^'), you need to explore the map more I think in order for the game to generate new islands with new ships. I mean, I hope that was it.

Thank you for the AI comment too, I did spend time coding it and I'm still losing hair over it! Haha :o
I actually forgot to enable some AI ships that hunt you down (they'll be in my next update)

Thanks for spending some of your time in my game :3

Thank you! Maybe it reminds you of FF7 because they're both chunky? :'D

Yeah, it's too bad I could put sounds in time (I updated the game today with sounds btw), next time I'll be more prepared. And about that bug, I'm not sure... It happened to me only once, I'm still investigating.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much! I'm so bad when it comes to make time to put some sounds in my games, it's not my first time... (I did put a new version with sounds today tho :D)

Thank you for the nice comment!

Thank you!

I know, right? I had a plan for upgrading your ship, even buy new ones and have to manage your fuel and cargo, but I had to scrap plenty away because of time... ^^' I even forgot to enable some AI ships I spent a good chunk of time programming ><

But I'm happy you still had fun, thanks again!

Thank you!

Thank you! =D

For the visuals effects, I think you're asking about the pixel look, right? It's from this asset: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/vfx/shaders/fullscreen-camera-effects/pixe... . I got the idea from A Short Hike (really awesome game, I recommend it)

Absolutely beautiful game with unique a gameplay, lovely story and characters and an awesome music and art style. It started really strong with an original idea and setting. Then, when I got used to the deciphering , you kept introducing new gameplay mechanics (the pressure, and the hose). I wish you had kept introducing new mechanics though, because around message 40 it got pretty boring, I have to admit.

BUT! The story kept me playing anyway, and I've had way worse gameplay than this to be fair. But overall I think it was a pretty good idea and hey, it wouldn't be a gamejam if we could make perfect games in 72h. I'm happy I found this game

Nice game! The controls and sound effects feels nice! Well done!

I played yesterday and had a good score, but I think you uploaded you game today and now the donuts seems to fly over the cars and the tank, it wasn't the case yesterday (I barricaded myself at the end of the left street).

Again, good job!

Die you nasty vegetables! It kind of reminds me of plants versus zombies :')

The arts and music were amazing and the game perfectly suit the theme and constraints; the gameplay loop tho... it hurts my fingers.

Very impressive game for a one man team. It's very polished, and complete. I'm especially impressed you had time to put so much work into the UI, I usually never find the time. Well done! The game loop works perfectly and fits the theme and constraints, even though it gets repetitive and it's a little bit too easy I guess (but better easy than too hard I say!). Great work!

My suggestion would be:

  • Body parts to build characters, animals, robots and monsters with simple shapes (even if it's unrigged)
  • Face parts like mouth, eyes, hairs to build characters head/face with simple shapes too

It's maybe already possible to some degree with the actual release, I haven't tried it yet.

Edit:
Armaan Khan got the same idea, I was too slow :3
