Super fun! I laugh a lot playing XD
Really like the idea and the art, also the screen shake is a cool feature.
Thank you so much, DuckFace! Glad you liked the game!
Hey, this was an awesome experience! I loved the absolute chaos and the sound effects are awesome! Great job! I would suggest maybe adding some particles or screen shake to make the laser seem more impactful. But either way, this was really fun to play!
Thanks for playing and feedback. Glad you liked it. We are working on updates to add some visual effects and feedback. Hope to have them done before the end of the week :)
I had fun playing but for games like this I recommend adding some button I can hold to attack, playing for more than 2 mins while spam clicking hurts!
Die you nasty vegetables! It kind of reminds me of plants versus zombies :')
The arts and music were amazing and the game perfectly suit the theme and constraints; the gameplay loop tho... it hurts my fingers.
My fingers hurt !
IMO it needs a endgame but it was fun to play ;)
Great submission
Lol they do for me too XD. Glad you liked the game, Perlin!
Hey, good job!
The submission is elegant and you managed to fit a very challenging set of constraints between theme and limitations.
The art and music are great, the space you have for improvement is in the gameplay: the game is rather easy, and could benefit from a difficulty curve (perhaps using a wave format, similar at the one used in tower defenses, and perhaps you could "earn" the usage of chocolate rain.
One last thing, that is a generic advice to anybody doing games in Unity: build to WebGL! it simplifies the distribution (instead of 3 individual builds) and itch supports to play directly on the website.
Overall, a very solid submission! good work!
Thank you very much. I was having a hard time with the HTML 5 export and introduced a couple of issues close to the deadline. HTML 5 version is up now, and has a few minor fixes, including the ability to shoot down cannonballs with the laser.
10/10 this is the best game I have played so far. Simple, great graphics and fun gameplay, I just works really well!
Thank you very much!
Nice game, I really liked the cute enemies. If I were to fix something it would be a) an indicator to know when the chocolate is ready b) a way to dodge the enemies. Otherwise I enjoyed the game.
Thanks! I posted an HTML 5 build, and that one includes the ability to shoot down the enemies with the laser. That was in the original at one point and broke some time during the rush to get the build ready online.
I kind of enjoyed it.

suggestions for future game jams:
Thanks! If I can easily spot why a perfect run is no longer possible, I'll add it back and post an update. Our earliest builds let you shoot the cannonballs with the laser too.
Oh, why did you remove that feature?
It stopped working for some reason and we just ran out of time to fix it and add it back.
It's back in the HTML 5 version we just uploaded!
Really fun game! Loved the idea of a donut sun overlord raining down sweet destruction from the sky. I think being able to move left and right would be great because there're really no way to dodge projectile. But overall really cool game, great jobs!
Thank you! I really want to add back the ability to shoot at the cannon balls. I'm not sure why that stopped working, and ran out of time to fix it.
Good job. I like the Visuals
just 2 little things.
I think the shot should have been displayed even if you dont hit an enemy
And a quit button would been nice.
But otherwise I think its a neat game.
Thanks! I didn't notice that the missed shots stopped displaying until you pointed it out. We should add that back for sure. And we could definitely use that button.
