I'm near wrapping up development for my game I've been working on for 7 months by now, but I still need to polish up some things, such as adding music and the structure of the game, and for that I need a music composer and 2 or 3 testers for my game.
You won't get paid to do the job, but you will have your name in the end credits screen and if you're my composer, you will be mentioned in the track that you've made, which will be uploaded on youtube.
I really need a team if I want to keep this project alive so please, I need your help.
Thank you for reading.
Although I did say the trailer won't be coming out until May, I changed my mind because of the fact that half of the sections in the game are finished and are nearly more than ready to be showcased fully
Now I do want to mention that I have to replace some placeholder assets with actual ones for the trailer, which shouldn't take long to do.
After the gameplay trailer is finished, I will continue working on the second half of the game.
I also do want to mention that I've published some new screenshots for the game's page for all of you to get a glimpse of how the enviroments in the trailer are going to look like(some of these are subject to change)
That is all for now! Thank you for reading
No theme, no nothing. There isn't a specific theme I want to talk about, I just want to explain what has happened since the last devlog.
First things first, happy new year! Second things second, this year's gonna be the one where I have to REALLY start working on the game, altough in 2024 I still did decent progress.
Ever since the last devlog, I took a small break from developing this game, and participated in a game jam to somewhat improve my development skills. After it was over, I worked on another update then got right back to developing The Re-Rise of StarFall.
There are a LOT of things I did after I got back to working on it that I can't even enlist them all.
As for the release of the gameplay trailer, I planned to release it in February, but I don't really have that much gameplay to show off. So for now, expect the gameplay trailer releasing around July.
The release of 2025 for the game remains unaffected, but now there are no more thoughts on releasing it in Mid 2025, the only possible release window is Late 2025, most likely November, but unfortunately, some things are going to be left out from the game release such as a Save system and multiple Endings.
That is all for now, as for the next devlog, I'm most likely releasing one in February, being more open in that devlog, and is going to be bigger.
Thank you for reading!

Thank you for the criticism! It's so weird seeing people actually interact with my game, since it's my first time seeing them on youtube.
I did recently make an update for the game, which covers some of the issues like the layout, the Main menu music, the holes in the ground have been changed, and the stairs were at first meant for the ending of the game, and then for a present spot, but now I removed the stairs entirely.
Speaking of the ending, I also remade it to not just be a png for the ending.
Now I'm not saying you should play it again, not at all, I'm saying that I know what can be wrong with my games, but your criticism definetly helps! As I am working on some bigger project.
Anyways, thank you so much for reading and playing my game!

This Devlog is probably one of the biggest ones since the 4th one, as I get to talk about the first builds of the game, new plans that were made after these builds, and the Main Menu of the game!
The First Game Builds:
After 4 months since the development of the game has begun, I finally made the first few prototype builds of the game after struggling with errors regarding these builds.
These builds are around 600mb, so the game will probably be over 3GB, so I will have a little bit of struggle uploading the game on this site.
New plans:
Since I finally managed to make the first builds of the game, I will probably start around this time to work on a save and load system for the game, optimising it and do many other things. As of now, the footstep system is delayed and will be continued working on after I make the base of the features planned above.
The Main Menu:
The main menu's got a BIG overhaul since the first time I made it back in July, mostly the main part of the overhaul is the UI and the Main Menu being in real time.
I also added an options tab so that you can tinker with things such as graphics and resolutions(There are still features to add in it)
Conclusion:
These last few days were a blessing for my game, and I'm hoping that things will mostly be like this.
(Also, by the next devlog, I should start having screenshots of things I nearly finished, so stay tuned for that!)
Thanks for reading

What happened these last two weeks:
Sorry for the time between the 5th log and this log, school got me REALLY busy with homework and stuff, but that doesn't mean I haven't been working on the game, of course! While away, these last two weeks, I didn't add that much new content, I just polished stuff that were already in the game and finished making the base for the FlashGun's mechanic. It only remains to do some polishing to it, and the FlashGun will be done!
New lore when?
Altough there is a story being told about my game on it's page(The link above), it isn't the final story I have in mind. But I am trying to make assets for the game to tell more of the story through the enviroment!
Where is the GameJolt page?
While I did say the page will come out around like a week ago, it didn't because I was busy doing school work and other stuff. I am very sorry that it didn't come out. The page will either come out this upcoming week, or in a few days after the second Teaser-Trailer for the game comes out!
The second Teaser-Trailer in the works!
As I said in my last devlog or two, I said that I would start working on the second Teaser-Trailer for the game in Late-Novmber or in Early-December! Fortunately, I have the time to work NOW on the Teaser! As I promised, it will be a little longer than the first one, and I plan on releasing it next Sunday!
The release of it will be announced in "Release Announcements"
Conclusion:
This upcoming week will be BIG compared to the week when I released the first Teaser-Trailer for the game! So stay tuned for the future of this game!
Thanks for Reading my Devlog!

Hi! I know it's been a while since my last devlog. I'm still on vacation, but once I return from that vacation, I will continue developing the game at a slower pace and post less devlogs. Probably like 1 per week.
Plans for the game advertising:
Once I manage to expand the game's mechanics and polish the enviroments and the game itself, I'll start making the second teaser-trailer either in Late-November or in December of this year.
The ACTUAL gameplay trailer should hopefully come out in February next year with the game's release date
Information on the game's release:
I've said many times that it'll come out in Mid-Late 2025(I'm hoping that I don't have to delay it), but the months I'm hoping to release the game are July-August or November-December(Or in the other months in between) on here and on, GameJolt?
GameJolt page:
One day, in my vacation, I thought of more people downloading my game, so I decided I also want to release my game on GameJolt.
The page isn't up yet, but it will be once I get home, after my vacation.
That's all for now! As I mentioned in the first few lines of the devlog, I said that the devlogs will come out slower, but they certainly be juicier than these last ones!
Thank you for reading!
Over the last week, I've been posting about the game I've been working on, called The Re-Rise of StarFall and I need your feedback and ideas to make the game reach its best form.
Whenever you can, visit the game's page on my profile, take a look at the game and tell me what I should add or improve
Game Link: https://andrei363.itch.io/the-re-rise-of-starfall
If I manage to add the requested features into the game, you'll get in the game's credits(Note: I am still a rookie developer learning Unreal Engine 5, so please, go easy on your ideas for the game, thank you!)
That's all! Let me know what I should add

Phew! That was a long title, but for a very good reason! This devlog that you're reading, from my perspective is one of the more juicier ones!
FlashGun optimizations:
If you don't know, the FlashGun is the main gimmick of the game that used to be able to shoot bullets that light up an area on the map for 3 seconds. Here's the problem though, if you didn't wait 3 seconds for the bullet to despawn and shot another one, it would've destroyed only the recent one that you've shot and kept the previous one. And if you shot multiple of those bullets, the game would've had MASSIVE frame drops.
My solution for the issue:
To fix this, I reworked the flashgun to shoot bullets that instead of being there for 3 seconds then despawn, I made the bullets destroy on impact with an object.
The FlashGun won't be as effective as it used to be, but now it's optimized!
Plans for the FlashGun:
I will discuss this topic very briefly, but what you need to know is that I'm trying to make the FlashGun more useful instead of it just lighting up rooms. I just started experimenting with the potential of the FlashGun yesterday.
Plans for the second Teaser Trailer:
If you didn't watch the first teaser trailer, it's on the game's page.
I am very excited to begin production on the second Teaser Trailer of The Re-Rise of StarFall, as I'm planning to begin working on in November-December! It will certainly be bigger in terms of content than the first Teaser-Trailer.
Extra Stuff:
For the smaller devlogs that are about to come, they will all be from now on the game's page instead of here, and the bigger devlogs like this one will be kept here. So make sure to follow my game's page if you are interested!
Conclusion:
That's all the devlogs, for now! As I'm currently on vacation to relax and have temporarely stopped developement on The Re-Rise of StarFall! But it will continue after I return from vacation, just a little more slower because of school!
Thank you for reading!
Yesterday, as I told y'all, I would post a devlog today about the changes I did yesterday to the game.
I didn't get to much, unfortunately, but I did remake some textures for the enviroment to feel a bit more dynamic.
That's all for today, I'm sorry if the devlogs seem small, but I promise, they will get juicier and juicier as I progress making the game!
New devlog should also come tommorow, but I am not sure
Thanks for Reading!
In 2 days, I will be going on vacation to relax since school gave us a week of vacation, so I'm unfortunately gonna have to slow down on development when I return to school and pause development when I'm on my vacation. But don't worry, I'll try to work a bit today on the game and document what I added/changed in the game tommorow! That's all for now, thanks for reading!(If you want to learn more about the game, visit my page and it's other devlogs!)
Hello there, I'm Andrei363 and I am looking to help someone with their project for free. I am not a profesional but I can help in making simple, but mostly nice looking 2D pixel sprites for a level map or for an item. I am also fairly decent at making UI.
