My condolences to the surviving developer. The art is beautiful and the story is fun. I hope they eventually find the right person to help continue the legacy.

If you have data that is important to you, then you have a reason to back it up. Too many of us learn the hard way. But we take it seriously after that.

My advice in addition to communing with nature is to let go of your ssd.

That's right. 

As long as the bully despots know they can hurt you with it they will hold it hostage. Don't give them the satisfaction. Show them they have no power over your happiness, mental stability or income stream. They will get bored of bullying you. Even if they eventually return your property, I would wager it will be rendered useless to you one way or another. ("accidentally" erased/corrupted or physically destroyed.) Best for your sanity to consider it gone. If it does come back then won't that be a pleasant surprise!

In the meantime, I suggest you stick it to them by re-creating your data from scratch and move forward. A arduous task I know, but the product will likely be better than before since your skills will have progressed. I bet your the majority of you patrons and buyers will support you in this endeavor (I am buying MNM as soon as the purchase button goes back up). But this time you'll be prepared by keeping frequent physically offsite backups to prevent future loss. Not just in the cloud. Big Tech companies are well known for collaborating with governments to violate peoples' rights.

Get satisfaction from your life first then your work and also importantly, your fans. Never allow your happiness, sanity or income stream be controlled by anyone else again. Self sufficiency will set you free and you will forever more be in control of your destiny. Communities will thrive when they stick together and support each other. This is true not only for our local communities, but also virtual/online ones based on shared interests etc.

Just ignore the nags, I never understood them anyway. I just play other games and VNs here on itch while I wait for another to post progress. 

I bought and enjoyed both. I really liked the story arc with Makoto totally into being his "recruiter". But shouldn't a "proper" harem have at least 5 gals? 

I suppose if you include LND2 there is, but are they full members or supernatural side pieces? Hope I'm hyping these well without spoiling!

The scenario reminds me of a story about the wisdom of King Solomon. Two mothers in the realm had babies the same day, but one baby died. Both were now claiming the surviving baby was hers. Solomon had to choose which one was the real mother. He said the baby should be cut in half. The First woman agreed. The Second said "Please don't kill it. Let her have the baby."  Solomon determined the First woman, out of jealousy or grief, didn't mind seeing the other mother's baby die too, but the child's real mother would sooner let her baby be raised by a questionable person than have worse harm come to it. So Solomon gave the baby to the Second mother. 

Mothers make personal sacrifices for their children almost daily, some small just in the moment, some with lifelong irreversible outcomes. But that's what a LOVING parent does, they will choose the best possible/least bad outcome for their offspring despite their own aspirations and/or desires. For individuals who haven't had children, it's sometimes hard to understand.

I don't think she's bad. The story explains why she did what she did.  I hated Tanja at first but she got redeemed. But I wouldn't blame someone for not wanting to persue her route. But that's what choose-your-path is good for isn't it? If there's a character that you're not into, skip 'em.

If you're here for lewd scenes, I recommend harem route, more ladies, more opportunities for fun. Plus it sets up scenes with more than one character later on.  ;)  It's the top choice most of the time. 

Anyone else on windows having trouble with screen refresh? Recently, each time I advance the dialogue, I have to alt-tab away and back to see the updated screen. It happens on MNF 0.14 for me and other games built on the same framework.

I too would like to do a one-time pay what you can 'purchase'.

There's too much good content out there worthy of support to do a monthly subscriptions on Patreon (plus the censor so I hear so they shouldn't get a cut). I much prefer  to support creators by purchasing merch or just one time donations.

That’s ok. It’s totally understandable to want to keep the project manageable. And I did think of losing touch with an actor and having to recast.  It was more of an idea than a request. Thanks for your work on making the game in the first place. 

Maybe that could be a community driven task.

Perhaps a contest where users can submit demo recordings in a specified format of a selection of lines performed as a character in the game, following some creative guidance from the developers, for instance: "this character should have a husky sultry voice" etc. and sign a release form giving the developers use rights. Then developers could choose "winners" to provide complete and ongoing voice performances for said character and a full license to the game.

Many shall we say "special interest" games do force progression, limit your time to get things done, are puzzling about how to progress or otherwise make getting the desired results frustrating. I find that to be a tease. I rather like the sandbox freedom of play in this one, It's refreshing and relaxing in a Minecraft sort of way.

I don't know how difficult it would be for the developers to add different modes in the spirit of "survival mode" and "creative mode". But it might be a way to satisfy a variety of different tastes such as yours and mine.
