thnx

scratch is pretty much just a simpler game engine. i dont see any unfair advantages to using scratch and infact it seems kinda like a fun handicap since you gotta make the camera and the tile code from scratch (pun intended)

thanks. thats good advice. sadly i didnt finish in time but im prob onna make it it's own standalone game

it doesnt have a goal yet or even shooting, but the plan is you a secret agent blasting through enemy bases and light plays a factor. you can only hold one thing and to reload your gun you throw it at a mag. the gun is a source of light so you want to make sure you have it near you when you arent reloading

can i work on stuff like player physics and tilemap stuff like that before the jam starts since its kinda generic?

so how much can I update it before it's considered cheating, also thnx for responding

can one day of judging be sacrificed for an extra day of development? judging doesn't take very long atleast for me

wait, he released the source code?

yessss

very fun, has a good difficuty curve and feels like a complete game. This would be a good vr port. idk how hard that would be to do since ive only gotten the camera vr to work in godot.

thanks. I took inspiration from super mario camera. this is the video i used to learn,

i made a tile system engine called t square engine https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/911401797/

so making an engine inside of scratch pre jam and then using it in jam is allowed? Just want to be completely sure.

idk i made that comment a while ago

maybe it coud be #6 and below

What if ther was a custom rank called OG for jamers who where in jam #5 and below

congrats

thankyou. i did a tile system and then just made every tile go to its X - Camera_X to make them go to screen correctly.

nice game

ok. #1 do the creators have to give up ngs as prizes and #2what if my game isnt very high score oriented (more level based)

thanks for you answer

are we allowed to make topics here for advertizing?

i may have interperated the rules incorrectly, but do the owners of the games have to give prizes

glad you like it:) in what way should i change the instructions

thanks. i had alot of fun making the camera and tile system. im thinking that after the jam ill update it to add portals and more levels

i did have trouble shooting. how do i do that again?

no worries, im not upset (:  I apreciate that you rate games without sugarcoating it. and making my games more playable is a thing i  will try working on. i will also try that 15 minutes of play strategy next time

i made it in th span of 2 weeks. i have been practicing for a while

thanks

I understand that. And I agree Scratch has been plagued by bad platformers.

sure. It’s so simple I can describe it here

Chang ypos by [(Target_y)-(yposition)] / 10

Target y is a variable that you can set to wherever you want it to go. Yposition is the scratch y pos variable. The 10 is how smooth you want it to be. Make sure to change the ypos by this. If more clarification is needed feel free to reply

Thankyou. I tried to add more levels this jam.

this is so well made

I love this. the mario fighting sprites caught me off gaurd(in a good way) it feels very well made and the enemies are spawned at the perfect rate.

this game is very charming. I love how the wall changes to have a different message each time. my favorite one was the jeff employee of the month awards.

how do i reset if i make a typo

I love the art. the animations are very fluid and the intro gets you ready for the game. one of my favorite submissions. also you can change the mouse cursor when compiling to get rid of the default one.

fun and very addicting. love the art and projectile movement

I really like the concept, art, sound, and little things like the news station make this game fun. I do feel like the helecopters could apear a little lower. (not be a little lower just apear) so that the hitbox is in a match with the visuals. but great game. this could be in an arcade.

idk which one but last jam i saw some mobile games repackaged for the jam they might have been paid
