Very nice! Took me a while to get the angles down when hopping across. I could definitely see this game on an arcade machine in a pizza joint. :)

Great artwork and dialogue! I laughed all the way through.  Hold on, i'm getting a phonecall...

LOVE this game. The concept is hilarious. Shake babies? OKAY

I need to know what's behind the white door!!! I felt like I could speedrun the first few levels by the end. Great job!

Is the art drawn by hand? Really like the simplicity of the controls. Speed of the character vs the speed of the boss weapons was perfect in my opinion.

I found myself sitting in the corner collecting bullets so I could spam the bosses all at once. I like the concept and had a lot of fun!

Very enjoyable and very difficult! My parry timing is horrible but I definitely felt like I was getting better the more I played. The theme is perfect and I really like the death animations (I watched them many times lol).

I immediately fall through the map and can't seem to move. Is there a certain mechanic I am missing?

Yep that's exactly what I was thinking! Wasn't able to get it fully working before the jam ended but still going to upload a fix after judging is over.

I appreciate the feedback! I have an idea to solve this but not sure if I will have enough time. 😩

You are correct, there are several spawn points surrounding the viewport which are randomly selected. I think the spawning system needs to be a little more biased based on which direction the player is traveling and at what speed.

Push submit, fall on bed, eat pancakes at noon the next day. 😂

If you haven’t already, give godot a shot. I’ve used unity and unreal quite a bit and found both to be incredibly limiting.

+1 to @frizuo’s approach. You could place several empty gameobjects/nodes as “spawn points” and randomly pick one for the new coin’s position.

Usually I go for more obscure ideas and try to push the theme as far as possible. I think I will go with a more literal approach this time. Final boss is final boss 😁.

One screen because it seems like a more open-ended limitation.

Fantastic concept. A post-apocalyptic theme would be pretty amazing as well.

Top notch! I really like the consistent feeling of progression in the mutagen / legacy mechanics.

Very cool. I really like the focus on the atmosphere in this game. Music + visuals + mechanics all work well together.

Much appreciated! I am happy to hear that you had a good experience. My goal for this jam was to bring more polish to the table.

Short and  well polished. I live next to a police station, I always wondered what they did back there.

Awesome job. I love x-terminating those little slimes.

Thanks! My wife created all the art using Pyxel Edit.

Fun and solid game! I like the fish animations.

Same result for me as well.

Thank you for the feedback!  It sounds like I need to work on improving the level design along with the increasing the total amount of levels overall. I'm looking forward to it!

I may also add some secret rooms as well.  :D

The art is very unique. I really like the animations!

Feels like a mix of SuperCrateBox and the original Mario Bros. I played for quite a while and had a blast! Fantastic!

Reminds me of the 2nd level in the Lion King game for SNES. Extremely difficult but very addicting. It would be awesome to have some sort of indicator to show where Donny will land once he is off-screen. Great job!

A solid and challenging game. Some audio would definitely make the game more engaging. I use http://www.bfxr.net/ for most of my sound clips.

Nice work! Definitely a tough game at first. Once I figured out the mechanics I was able to breeze through pretty quickly. Lots of fun!

How do you execute the file?

I thoroughly enjoyed myself, the narration is fantastic! Great work!

Just a note, Windows Defender doesn't like your .exe file on Windows 10.

I really enjoyed your game! The reflection in the about section is pretty interesting, having worked with LibGDX a bit myself.

I suggest you add some hints as to what verbs can be used to take actions in your game. One idea would be a "help" command displaying all possible verbs.

Thank you good sir
