Nice work, brother! The hard work came together beautifully!

Cheers for the feedback, mate. Accessibility certainly wasn't on my list for the codejam, but can certainly see a need for such.

This is utterly phenomenal. The art style was an instance grabber for me, I really love it. The BGM and Sound effect are also super cool, the music so perfectly fits the mysterious setting.

In terms of gameplay this is an awesome puzzle game, really nice to be able to see a location, then start hunting for a way to it. Really nice in all regards.

I did find the grappling hook to be a strange control scheme - one which I had trouble adapting to, i think perhaps it might be that it rotates the character and i found that unusual to adapt to, but this wasn't a huge deal breaker, i was used to it within five minutes.

All in all, I think this is up there with games that really shine this Jam - i'm surprised more people haven't flocked to it! It's awesome. Cracking job, Team!

Hey, Kuro - Would you be able to release an in-browser version?

This is some seriously impressive game loop. Eerie and hella' playable!

This is dope! You haven't given yourself enough credit, mate.

The enemies have a very odd, muscle vibe about them. They'll be coming for me in my dreams.

Haha, cheers for playing, cuz! Cracking bit of feedback.

Bug hunting for beer, amirite? 😎

Cheers for the feedback, Glad you had fun! 😊

Tonight's build is on ultra-low settings as i'm fiddling a little to try and remove some of the lag during the early areas when looking toward multiple torches. I fear it may be a case of just rendering far less pixels for those effects and returning to half or full scale res.

Thank you so much for playing while we're in active development. Such kind words are truly appreciated, honestly. The work so far has been a tough one to balance - the point you're referring to is likely no other than what has been dubbed "The Impossible Jump", to which, i believe until tonight only I was able to perform, haha. I have just released a new build which offers an alternative approach to some of the games aspects, as well as a full bodied Ascension. However, some mechanics are still missing, so if you did have the appetite to play again, wait a few more days and you'll have a finished product which hopefully should be much more pleasing. 😎

Oh you betcha. Very flexible jam, and a great place to start. Build anything over the jam, submit it and you'll get some feedback 😎

Hey bud, contextually i see your confusion. However second-person view refers to the addressing of the user in the form of Narration.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/point-of-view-first-second-third-person-difference

I can't be sure if this is the intended meaning from the O.P, but alas this could probably be showcased in a gamified way through dialog options, one would imagine.

Hope this helps! 😎

Very impressive this!

My 7yr old Daughter did it in 178.2 seconds.

Awesome game!

From my 4 year old son:
Thank for making this. I liked how you can go really fast most.

Cheers, mate. Cracking job. Between us we got all the Emeralds. 🥳

Randomly stumbled upon this with my 4 year old son. So two reviews for the price of one for you.
Me: I really love this, the puzzles are clever and the general premise is simple and relaxing. Been a nice 45 minutes with the little man working through this.
My Son: Please can you make this fox game easier because there are not enough boxes.

Cracking job

Hey, please compile this for browser too! Myself and the kiddos sadly don't have a reliable Android device to run this on. The little ones are keen to give some feedback though! 🐱‍👤

I've messaged you directly on the OLC Discord regarding this. However there have been reports of frame drop at two separate sections of the story. If you hit me with some more details i'll be happy to investigate and add an alternative release with lowered particle effects/ lessened lighting effects. 🐱‍👤

The repeatability of this game is something you should be proud of. Simple but beautiful.

I like the music.

It's a code jam. If someone is writing clean code they're doing it wrong. 😂

I think the way you've taken "Future" as a concept and delivered it in a short, interactive, educational and fun, complete game is brilliant. If i'm honest, your parents have done a cracking job given the values showcased right here.

It's not perfect, there are spawns of litter behind assets and it's possible to escape the map. There is also a crash that might relate to the fruit basket, but between me and one other we can't establish exactly what the cause is. (Day 1: Buy fruit basket. Day 2: Buy plastic bin. <Something strange happens here>)

Ultimately though, this is an incredible contribution and my rating towards this reflects it. It's up there with one of my favorites from the jam.

Thank you for the perfect score, Taycart! Really glad you enjoyed it!

Cheers for playing and some great feedback, Wantear! I can respect the linearity comment - there was a clear vision for ambiance and that certainly sapped some flexibility in what i wanted to achieve. No enemies was intentional though, i felt that enemies would draw the player away from taking in the sound effects, music, and little bits of attention - not to mention it would have been a huge time sink to script!

Man, how can anyone compete with this masterpiece?! 😂 Damn fine job, right here.

Really loved this contribution. Had a lot of fun with it. It's damn hard, but a game that clearly requires skill and thought while delivering a nice relaxing experience. Great work!

Really appreciate the review, Pandepic! During testing I found myself typing open as the first thing when tabbing to Discord. It'll never look like a real word again!

Thanks for the kind words, OsiPog! It's worth me mentioning that I was only responsible for the design, programming and implementation. All of the assets, AI voice, news anchor, the news video, sound effects and music were the fruits of the labour of friends. They'll be very glad to hear the feedback too! 😊

This is absolutely one of the most impressive things i've encountered. Astronomical.

The game play is a little on the lacking side, understandably, but flying around around with yourself and my friend Explosive was fun. The combat system is simple yet a very relatable concept of number crunching - which i have a personal love for.

Aside from everything, you literally made an MMO. BIG KUDOS!

I really felt the justice in this.

Controls should allow movement in the air though, and it would also be beneficial to climb down ladders.

Kudos on the headshot mechanics though, when i worked that out i was really impressed.

Nice job!

In the grime dark future, there is only JUSTICE.

I had a whale of a time bringing justice.

- Controls should allow movement in the air

- I _LOVE_ the chest/headshot mechanics

- Style is awesome also

- JUSTICE++

Nice job!

I have a feeling i didn't get very far - but i love what you've done with this.

Sound track is great, the art is awesome and despite the grammatical and spelling errors it's a great game.

Really, really good contribution! I fear i didn't see the relevance of "Future" in it though. Likely down to me being terrible at point-and-click adventures though!

That's makes perfect sense! I found a spot where i couldn't be hit and tried to cheese the level. Nice one!

Really cool game, but i think there might be a little bug. I didn't get hit at all on the first level and still failed...?

Otherwise though, this a wicked Arcade quick-thinker. Really cool idea!

Awesome contribution. We've had a good time working through this. It's challenging and fun. The assets are incredibly nice too.

I feel like the typical Zelda bush heart drops would have helped us get through the cave, the response time on attacks is also a little too slow and can be almost frustrating, but otherwise this is a beast of a game.

If 14 year old me got this on the Gameboy Colour, I'd have been pleased.

This is _SUPER_ impressive!

There was audible laughter on stream - you did a stellar job making this. It's hard, and despite Javid saying "Shooting robots isn't original" - this is! Glorious!

This is a really cool concept. I'm disappointed there wasn't more content, i wanted to keep going. Considering you did this in 2 days, job well done! (+1)

Beautifully chilled game! Nice job, Javidx9!

Really cool concept! Movement controls are nice - at minimum i wanted to be able to clear paths and trees too but still a very impressive contribution! So much room for more objects and functionality that it's a great base to work from! (+1)
