I really like this game! Very cool concept and use of limitation is good too. I like the DDR style gameplay.

If you have a chance please check out my game! Thanks

Really nice music and art! I like how the window for attack/dodge/block visibly changes to show you the effect of the item. The game is quite difficult when starting off. I would suggest giving the player a weaker opponent at first. Nice job!

I really enjoyed the concept and the idea of a dance dance revolution style rougelite I was laughing the whole time. I would have liked to see more character expressions. Overall awesome job!

You've created quite a complex and challenging game with many parameters involved. After a few attempts, I got better at defeating enemies by buying clothes with crit chance and attack power. I put together a set that helped me beat the game (suit pants, dress shoes, trench coat, bandana). I don't think I would have completed it with the clothes that increase windows since I can already press the buttons on time. Overall, you've made a small yet well-rounded game that was enjoyable to play through!

I'm glad you enjoyed enough to see it through, given more time I would've tried to balance it bit better to make things like the windows more relevant but I erred on the side of trying to make sure it wasn't too frustrating or unwinnable. I'd also considered going deeper on the systems to add stuff like upgrading items and set bonuses but had to rein it in a bit.

Wow this game is for sure a hidden gem in the jam! I loved all the features and mechanics you added - and just little things like showing the stats of your next enemy, and comparing items you have on with new ones you might buy, those small details really go a long way! I also loved all of the art but just like some other people said, I do wish the characters had a little more movement during fights. Overall your team should be very proud, this game has a really nice concept and execution of that concept!

Hi, the fight button doesn't seem to work for me (I am using edge). I will not be rating the game as rating it without playing would be an unjust review, but I have commented just to highlight the issue ! So far from the menu screen I can deduce that the game has amazing artwork ! Great job !

Developer

Sorry to hear you weren't able to play but thanks for letting me know, I'll have a google to see if I can figure out what's going on there.

Developer

Can you tell me what OS you use? I've tried it on Edge and the buttons work fine for me so it doesn't seem to be a browser issue (or maybe it's version specific but that seems less likely)

I use windows 11

Wow, the finished product is amazing for the time given!! I had such a fun time helping you design the items in the game; it's always so cool to see my artwork in action. I really love the idea and gameplay, great job!

The overall idea is nice ;)

Some more explanations could be useful! And what about that "block" that seem to do nothing? A well done job anyway!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, it definitely could have done with more time spent on animations and other juice. The explanations of the various stats are there as tooltips if you mouse over the stats panel but I should've found a way to make that more obvious. I'd planned to add an animation for blocking but didn't get to it, it absorbs a percentage of the damage but the number starts low enough that it looks like it's not doing anything.

Thanks for playing :)

Good sound, your art is nice, the economy system of items in your game is interesting. Maybe you could add some animations to your player and enemies; it would make your game even more beautiful. But all in all, it's great. Congratulations and good job.

Pretty good! But you should add movement like in Fnf, and you should also add clothes for the enemy based on their stats.
