Originally it said "Contract Received" but it was way too long and annoying to hear over and over again so now it's simpy "yz" so it's long enough for the player to react to it but short enough not to be annoying.

Thank you so much man! Yours was one of my favourites too!

Here's ours: https://itch.io/jam/black-and-white-jam-8/rate/1482487

Fantastic art and shaders! Love the optical illusions of depth, all hail orthographic projection!

I love the concept of a never-ending dungeon where the corridor just keeps looping and you can certainly do a lot with that idea! The art style is very effective.  The gameplay for me was kinda slow though - the movement, the combat, the progression. Also, there's no incentive to fight, only when a slime is blocking your 1-tile-wide corridor.

The art is very effective and pleasant to the eyes, and the premise of a car being magnetically pulled to the road is very fun, especially when your driving at mach 3 upside down. I felt the driving be a little jittery at times and I got stuck on ramps a couple of times. One thing that confused me was the locations of packages and drop-offs. I had to stumble about before learning the map layout. Overall, pretty fun, albeit hard to navigate precisely.

Thanks! I agree, the tutorial was done very hastily and will be the first thing I'll improve.

Charming drawings, surprisingly deep and thought out gameplay, 24(!!!) levels! What's not to love?

At first I thought it was to give some breathing room, seeing as how hectic the gameplay is (which I love). But I would suggest taking it out, as playing with the wand felt buttery smooth. One last thing, I'd suggest either making the enemies deal x% of the player's "time points" or just decreasing how many they give when they die. If you have the time be sure to check out my game as well! :)

Great art and sound effects! Very polished too, just wish that you could hold the arrow key instead of spamming it, you can already do that with the back button, why not the arrow keys! Overall, good job!

The art, music, animation are fantastic! The pathfinding algorithm for the enemies is very well made, too. However, when using the melee weapons the game tends to freeze, but with the wand that's not an issue. At one point I had >2000 "time points" (around the time I got my hands on the magic wand, that weapon's very OP) so the game's enemies and traps became pretty easy (the flaming skull deals 15 damage, but you gain 20 when you kill it, its kinda unbalanced). You can easily farm "time points" while searching for the lair (which in my opinion should have been in the graveyard) so by the time you fight the boss (very good battle btw!) you can just tank him. Overall, pretty polished and no bugs (excluding the dagger freezing). Fantastic job!

yes sir

Delightfully simple and effective graphics, really the best looking game this jam. I love the design with the alternating levels, however when I get to the red orb to unlock the third level, PICO8 bugs out quite a lot, and a big FAILED appeares on the top right.

Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked the beetle, as it was also my favourite enemy. The game is now playable, no you didn't miss any upgrade, the level design just made it impossible, sorry for that.

I love the fact that the pixels have a little light border around them!

Very impressive and very much like Wolfenstein3D! My only issue is that the crosshair gets obscured by the very dark walls, but other than that, great! I feel like IJKL would have been a better alternative to the numpad, though.

I enjoyed the rewind ability; it has a lot of potential but unfortunately the levels felt way too expansive and broad for the player's small size and slow speed. If you make the levels smaller and polish the movement and art then you'll have a very fun puzzle platformer.

Good job and best of luck!

thank you! i will

thank you so much! glad you enjoyed it!

thanks!

haha thanks! 0 gravity environments are great, I think you'll agree!

thanks! the gun bug is realy frustrating but we didn't have time to fix it. the lightning symbol is just a 'warning high voltage' decoration.

thanks! this was our first game jam so the bugs are quite a lot!
