Thanks for the comment !

We're working on polishing the assets. Adding animations and static scenes would be marvelous, of course. Maybe in the future.

This game jam definitely taught us the importance of setting a realistic scope  for the game length.

Yes, Midjourney's near future is uncertain...

And, yes, Shuichiro (the male idol) has kpop idol vibes. It's true haha

♥ Thanks for the review ♥

Hello! Thanks for your comment.

We’re currently working on the next chapter ♥

Wooooooow ♥ This review is amazing. So many detailed and accurate observations. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. We appreciate that.

These days, we were thinking about what you wrote, and we’re currently working on the character assets to improve them.

As you guessed, some features (like the loyalty mechanic) will take a major role in the next chapters.

I (the game writer) understand completely what you said about native language expressions that don’t have an equivalent in English hahaha

For real, this review was very useful ♥ Thank you.

Hi! I just played the game, it was fun! I liked the art, feels like a homage to Paper Mario. 2D and 3D art blend together well.

I noticed some things that maybe could be improved though:

* Combat gameplay: it feels clumsy and it's almost impossible to hit an enemy without being hit yourself. As a suggestion, I think that the hit animation could be faster, when you hit an opponent it could be knocked back and/or increase the attack range.

* The obstacles warning in the car race were difficult to understand and I could never truly get advantage of it. I won because I memorized the patrons after a few tries.

* It's difficult to understand how to beat the girl criminal. Once I reached her, but I didn't know what I was supposed to do, so I kept on the race and got to the final goal. But that was a "trap" of the villain and that sound kinda weird? Like, what is the trap?

I hope these feedback helps you guys to polish the gameplay in these or future games.

Good job!

Thanks for finishing the game and completing the detailed review 💖

Hello! I see you guys took a lot of effort making the art. Its nice to see the CGs because it accentuates the importance of that moments of the story,

I think you could improve the following aspect. Pay attention to how the UI, characters assets and background coexist. For example, when the Life Flowers are mentioned for the first time and the player can see one in the background, that flower is cut by the textbox. Also in the first image of the game (Atsuo talking on the phone), Atsuo has his fingers cut by the textbox and it look kinda off. I know you guys put effort creating this backgrounds so it's sad to lose those details.

Hey! First of all, the game was really fun and I enjoyed playing it.

Highlights:

* Precious art

* Fun dialogues

* Great movement set

* Good level design (fun to play)

* The game teaches you dynamically the controls and special movements during the gameplay

Thing that could be improved:

* Gamepad support. It's not a type of game to be played on keyboard. It's kinda uncomfortable and makes the gameplay more difficult. The game would be more enjoyable if it could be played with gamepad.

* Final boss mechanics: I beat final Felicity's form just spamming uppercut without even moving. On the contrary, the fight against the seal after beating Felicity for the first time was much more challenging.

* In the part where they teach you to combine slice + jump, I always ended up being hurt by the spikes. The jump length was maybe too long. Probably the idea was to combine it with the uppercut jump, but it's not obvious at first.

Congratulations! I admire your dedication to create a whole series of the same universe. You're a good example for other devs/artists. We're waiting for your collection and keep creating  ♥

We're glad you liked the UI and text boxes !
We're looking forward to your next feedback :)
Thank you so much ♥
