It should be coming out this Sunday!
There won't be any new story, but there will be some new art in the existing demo. For more story you'll need to join our Patreon to get Early Access.
That reaction to the term comes as a bit of a surprise to us since a lot of our trans fanbase seems quite enamored with the word and is enjoyed by some of the trans development team. Of course there's definitely going to be differing reactions to terms, which is why we steered clear of the other terms you mentioned, which seem to be a lot more consensus around their hurtfulness.
But we can't dictate your history and reaction to the word, so we're sorry it interfered with your enjoyment of the story. I checked through the code and found two instances and they're really not all that pointed, so deleting two words probably shouldn't make all that much difference. You'll see the difference in the next update.
Hi there, thanks for writing and letting us know you're enjoying so much of the story.
After reading your topic, we went through and checked to see what kind of language we used for the scene described, and after searching through the whole VN's code, we couldn't find any use of the term you mentioned throughout the story. There is the use of "dick" to refer to refer to a female character's penis (which is the case with two characters) but not the specific word you mentioned. Is "dick" on its own part of what's troubling or is that specific spin on it that you think is worth flagging as fetishizing?
Whoops, looks like we moved a graphic element it was expecting. That's been restored and that should go out in the next update. A few things have been building up since the last update, so that might go out by the end of the month.
In the meantime, the only thing in the help documentation is the keymap for controls, which are the Renpy Defaults. You can see those here: https://defkey.com/renpy-shortcuts
There's a total of three endings in the Sylvia route:
1) The main route ending when you suggest Sylvia hypnotize herself
2) The alt route ending when you don't suggest Sylvia hypnotize herself
3) The short end when you walk out of her apartment without letting her help you
If you've done those three paths then you've seen all her endings. And as far as fully becoming Peggy, that depends on how you feel about the main route ending.
We're done with Mice Tea at this point except for things like typo/bug fixes and maybe adding some things to the gallery. We'll be focusing primarily on new projects and those particular kinks probably won't make an appearance since they're not the interests of the team members. Except for maybe feet, a little bit.
Hi there, sorry for the late reply, but the dev team's been on vacation the last two weeks.
When it comes to translations, we would want to pay our localizers a fair price for their work. With so much text in Mice Tea to translate, we don't think we could afford to translate the game. Sorry for not being able to release in your native language.
So the default font for the VN is Varela Round and is the font used in the text boxes for dialogue and the like during the normal portion of the game. As a tip, you can access the accessibility menu (in this VN and any Renpy VN by default) by pressing the A key while inside the story. That way you can switch back and forth easily to see how changes are affecting things.
The Margaret outfit is the one where she's half-size after drinking too much of the tea. I'd replay that scene to see if it triggers it again.
The chapter should happen after you play through Gavin Epilogue: Home At Last and choose "Just go furry sometimes." It looks like you already did that if you have the subsequent CGs, but sometimes it can trigger the second time. I'd suggest clicking through quickly instead of holding down skip so it has time to register the trigger.
So the toggle is working as intended. It's labeled the "Nude Sprites" option and not "Nudity" after all. It affects a few CGs as well, but those were some late-development additions to the Gavin path and were non-sexual scenes that don't include content warnings.
Our thinking was they'd mostly be used by two types of readers:
A) Readers who wanted to turn off all the sexual content in the game and would be flipping on "sex scene skip" as well
B) Readers who were reading for everything, including the sexual content, but were a little distracted by Margaret's nudity during long stretches of the Gavin path and/or wanted to be able to play those scenes while not in private
With that in mind we didn't cover up any of the nudity in the sexual scenes. If you were a type (B) reader we thought it might get annoying to keep toggling the nudity on or off for every sex scene.
It sounds like this didn't match with your expectations of what the option toggle would do. It sound like you were hoping for an option to just turn off nudity in all portions of the VN?
(and thanks for the praise!)
Thanks so much for reading through our whole story and enjoying it! We're glad it hit so many of the right notes for you.
As for your questions:
-Since the scene with Cowlie and Moogaret goes straight from the TF sequence to the sex scene, we didn't have any use for sprites for any extended dialogue. The reason we have the cow sprites at all is because our artist KD drew them to act as references for our other artist, UBF
-The idea is they're going to stay in hiding for a couple more months before turning back to normal, which would probably take one or two months
-In most paths we like to mix up what people turn into, both to have a little variety and have people's main TF be somewhat of a surprise, perhaps. But, based on the situation, we feel everyone would turn into their default forms for the party, so we just went ahead and stuck with their default forms
Hope that answers things for you!
Sorry you're having trouble with the app. I'm not sure how much experience you have with downloading apps from outside the store on android, so you might have to set some permissions to allow unauthorized apps to be installed. This link should get you started on that: https://www.lifewire.com/install-apk-on-android-4177185
If you're already familiar with installing these kinds of apks, let us know and we can try to troubleshoot.
So the persistant data that Renpy saves, which is distinct from actual game saves, can be a little sticky, but go ahead and try this:
1️⃣ Uninstall Mice Tea
2️⃣ Go to C:\Users\[YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy (replacing your user name in the file path) and delete the Mice Tea folder
3️⃣ Go to %appdata%\RenPy and delete the Mice Tea folder
4️⃣ Reinstall Mice Tea
Hope that works for you!
The demo is always going to match whatever the current full version is, though it will always be those first couple days of the story in the demo and cut off there. Since there's no new story being added to the game, that means the only updates the Demo will be getting are art improvements and the like.
Yep, you can wishlist it right now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2108950/Mice_Tea/
We won't be doing any early access on Steam, so it will only be the 1.0 version on there (plus any updates after that)
Right now we don't have a good way to give people Steam keys besides manually keeping track of purchases and then waiting until the game comes out on Steam to match up who has bought it here.
So, if you're the sort of person who likes to have a game all organized on your Steam Library shelf (which describes a lot of the dev team members too, we'll admit) it might be best to wait for the release on Steam. It shouldn't be too long of a wait!
If you don't mind spoilers, we have a story flowchartyou can go off of.
We're also looking into incorporating an interactive story chart in the game itself as well.
The remaining work left to be done in the game is:
The plan is to have all these completed in the next two months or so.
