Today we released the beta of Bullet Casters, an unconventional shoot'em up that mixes tower defense and bullet hell.

In Bullet Casters local PvP mode a player has to conquer a castle by shooting down its gate, while the opponent has to stop him by summoning an army of monsters!

In single-player Challenge Mode you will face short but intense challenges that will test your skills and wits.

We are really looking forward any feedback in order to make the game even better!

Bullet Casters Beta

Very interesting concept and great art

Very interesting concept and great art

Fun stage, I loved the transition to the bossfight with Letty starting to control the snow bullets which were already there. Also really nice art and music.

I wish Lily's movement speed was faster, but that's probably personal taste.

Oh, that's nice to know
I read the instructions in one of your other comments and gave the game another shot, since I didn't even notice there were different colored fairies and that you had to press X for the green ones.
Once you know what to do the rhythm part is really enjoyable too :D

I would suggest to give the fairies some more differences other than color, maybe making the green ones fly at a different height or changing their sprite. Also I feel like the poster is a bit too diegetic indicator, and it took me a bit to understand where exactly the right spot was.
After a bit I noticed that you can actually use two fingers to press Z and X at the same time and it won't count as an error.

Despite some problems, mostly due to the absence of a tutorial, I think you did a pretty impressive job considering all the different features in the game.

Really sweet visual novel

It has been a while since i read the Sealing Club story and this was a very neat refresher

I confess that I am an horrible person and tried to do a second run and pick all the wrong choices, so I was slightly disappointed when I realized that wasn't an option.

Cute art and beautiful arrangements (one of the featured tracks is one of my favourites from Zun)

Thanks! I'm glad that you liked it

The model is actually curved, my friend Rokman is studying 3D art and he wanted to experiment with that (and the pixel art textures)

(1 edit)

I liked the references, but I am not sure about which song title you used for the theme.
Some patterns go on for bit too long, but overall good job!

idk why it sent like 6 comments, sorry if you got a notification spam

I like the art but yeah the rhythm part needs some more work
Also I have the feeling that it's probably not allowed to use those arrangements without a license

I have played some games of this genre, but this is probably already my favorite.
I really like the progression system, and art and musics are great

Nice concept and great execution
