I think that this is a cool concept.

If I were to change anything about it, I would modify the text so that the stroke was less prominent or not there. A panel behind the text would help more with readability.

Gameplay wise, it is a little predictable and offers the same answers from different questions. I would have it remove outcomes from a list so they have a better chance of not popping up back to back from deciding two wildly different problems. You can add them back in once a few have been used as well if you want to keep the answers coming. Also making question specific answers would feel a bit better for immersion.

Overall this is a good idea that, if done right, could turn in to a nice prototype if you build a bit more onto the system that you have created here. Maybe make the percentages representative of the amount of animals or humans on an Earth or a country instead of just percentages. You could also have animal and civilian health effect each other. Maybe something like introducing poachers, whalers, etc into the mix can help the player make decisions as they become more prevalent problems on their playthrough.

Awesome Game!

Thanks for the feedback Trey!

Nah, never too much. Thanks for this awesome feedback Brad.

Thanks so much for this feedback!

Thanks Derek for the feedback!

Very very fun game, very polished, good feedback, fun gameplay loop, very challenging, great audio, simple and effective art. Very awesome and releasable with a few more levels in between. I have to echo Gian on this one, the camera was a bit wonky at times. Maybe allowing to freely view the playfield before starting would be a good upgrade.

I think this could go far should you provide some extra features, I really like this prototype. I think speeding back up by using your environment would be cool, such as dragging yourself off the walls to gain more momentum. The enemies were good and the final level was difficult and manageable. More development would benefit this game and would be awesome

Music was fun and the idea was solid. I think an off screen indicator would definitely benefit this game to keep you going faster. I think a little more feedback on screen such as screen shake or a slight turn on the car when going up or down would also be awesome.

This prototype has been seen before so playing in to the momentum theme more would definitely benefit.

On a separate note, I need this in multiplayer. This would be too much fun

5s all around here, everything was awesome. Sometimes the timing felt off like there wasn't enough of a grace period for catching the ball. Also trying to quickly look left to catch the ball fails because it is based on where the mouse is not where the player is facing, which was annoying at times but manageable.

Good game, got pretty far, think this would be cool to have upgrades or something to add more obstacles or things to keep you flying. Sounds were awesome and loved the bouncing Gabario sprite :D

I havenet even played this game and it looks way too fun

This is GREAT! If you got this on mobile platforms, I would definitely drop some cash on this as premium. This is quick, fun, and trains you on the game without making it feel like you're stuck in a boring tutorial. It gives you a sandbox with which to learn the game in safe environments, but still challenges you throughout the experience. Exemplary. Congrats on the Win here, it was definitely deserved!

Entertaining game here! Love this little prototype, im sure having a leaderboard and making more levels and progression with some sort of tutorial is in this game's future! Awesome, but a little loose on the theme. Cool game though! :)

Seemed like a cool small prototype, I like the idea of having to destroy everything using those little triangles, but it seemed i was too slow to avoid the yellow ones before they were stolen away. Also the dodge felt a little misleading since it was a dash in the direction you were facing. The turning is a little slow to incorporate a dodge like that, but otherwise a fun little game to mess around with! Very polished for the style :D

Hey thanks! We knew we had that in the very beginning, a character that used 4 holograms (fake versions of themself) to switch between to defeat enemies. We really thought the mechanic felt great! The team ended up moving towards the mouse click solution because it felt more controllable. After making it Space Bar to switch, we found out the feedback of jumping between players wasn't quite what we were looking for (especially when we had to switch to a differently available hologram when one was in a wall). We settled on the mouse click to give the play more control on where they went. Thanks for the comments and rating!

Thanks, we had a lot of fun making it! What was your favorite part of the idea?

Thanks! What did you like most about the game? I did play yours as well :)

Another platformer with fake platforms, but i liked the jungle theme you had going! Other than a couple hard locks, it seemed like a solid start to something to put on a portfolio. Great job!

Pretty good small prototype, liked the idea! For not being fond of memory games, I had more fun than I thought I would.

loved the transformations. I got mindlessly stuck in a bout of clicking until about 2000, would love to see this with more incrementing features! Good submission!

Game definitely has some potential! Running around and shooting is really great, but progression feeled a little slow. Awesome prototype to build off of in the future! Give me more weapons!!! :)

Car definitely goes Brrt! Really enjoyed how the driving felt and the small loop of driving around, finding the checkpoints that were fake endings or fake roads and just crusing around drifting around corners. Seems like a really good prototype that could turn into something larger given the resources and time

The menu seems to be set up flawlessly! Would love to see a game with this theme. I enjoyed the lore elements you included in the extras to build up the story. Fancy!

Enjoyed pogoing all over the place! :D Was a little frustrating to figure out and know when to press the pogo to get rid of it. Otherwise, graphics worked well together and the audio was very informative.

I was able to switch between scenes and skip levels on accident, but otherwise art looked nice!

Great and playable first jam game! If you can't see my pfp, my first jam submission was a Unity stretched 3d circle that shoots things. Keep the head up and keep working!

Really great take on the theme! Loved playing the game,  really simple and fun top down shooter with a twist on teleportation!

Get it!

After the tutorial and a few levels, I think this game would have served better if everything was a little faster. Maybe O2 goes down faster, player moves a little faster, PAAL along with them, and mining was a little faster. Really good resource management/action game. Loved the enemy variations, art, and sound design. Really good upgrade system, liked the mining to get resources, gotta love having a story along with it. The only problem is that the game feels like it should be a little faster.

I've seen this mechanic somewhere *thinkinglookingupface* Really good implementation of the ghost mechanic and really focused on timing with the multiple ghosts. Enjoyed running through the game, but the music got a little repetitive. Art was cohesive and put together well. Fit the theme perfectly and loved the beginning cut scene to add a lil story to it. Wish there were more levels!

Great submission! There was a good amount of obstacles and things to do during the game that really kept me playing. Very hard! But that doesn't deter from any ratings :'D The audio ques were great and all of the art impressed me. I enjoyed running, jumping, slashing, and sliding past all of the obstacles. The only thing I wish to make it easier would be to combo moves. Like sliding and slashing. And some sort of indicator that showed where a black hole would spawn, or more time to prepare a jump to the second level if there was a black hole spawning on the first level, since you can't jump between levels while under them already. Also the second level doesn't allow you to slide under second level arrows and second level black holes are really hard to jump over. Wish there was some sort of drop down, unless I missed it and it's already in :D. Otherwise really fun game, I'm definitely going to try to get my highscore up :)

Very unique game! I like the fact that there is a story and the theme fits well with the Jam theme! The art may be unconventional, but it seems to have a lot of cool effects. The way the art looks kind of gives me motion sickness while playing the game, but that might also just be the head bob effect. Turning is a little slow and I think 'Mom' is a little fast considering I was using my sprint the whole time to empty and still getting caught. Still working on completing all of the bones, but it is a little annoying having to start all the way back in the room without being able to skip sections I've done already or the cutscene in the beginning. I like the audio, it fits with the general aesthetic and type of game. Lets see if I can get all of these bones!

Super. Satisfying. I loved this mechanic and even the little bit where you cant mouse over the dog or they eat the fly that it's following was awesome. Loved playing this and ended up beating all 6 levels. Would love to see more! The game itself seemed a little incomplete, but I looked over that considering the amount of fun I had just playing the game. It was a little annoying having to open the game again every time you lost, but normally I wouldn't open it again if it did that.  Otherwise, all of the sound design was great, I loved what happens when you actually collide with things and the people walking around was a great challenge and seemed programmed well! Great submission!

(1 edit)

Having to run from the little slime was very spooky! And the AI for the slime seemed pretty smart :D Otherwise I enjoyed the fact that there are multiple ways to escape the cave, but I wish there was a little bit more to do inside the cave, maybe some more enemies and such. Otherwise I loved the sound design, it was very simple and to the point. Otherwise the art wasn't tied in to each other. The slime seemed different from the player, which both seemed disconnected from the background. The theme fit with this very well and I enjoyed my little spelunking adventure. Great submission!

Great submission! I enjoy the concept of the chain attached to the player and throwing it at the targets. The goal was a little unclear at first, but after some trial and error, I ended up having fun with the game! The theme fit great and I haven't really seen any games like this. Good Job!

Great submission! The contrast between bombs and the background was a little low, so you really have to try to see the bombs. Also there is no exit button other than ALT+F4, so that would be great! Otherwise, the theme is really nice and the concept is simple. I think it portrays the Jam theme very well and is relatable to the audience. Last thing, there was no tutorial, so that would be nice too. Good job!
