How does you game fit the theme?
The red obstacle is not real, so if you hit it you win. Sorry it's a bit loose, this is my first jam and I was running out of ideas.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The sounds except the music are from https://kenney.nl/ , but everything else is made by me, except the things credited in the description of the game.

Nice game!

I rated your game maybe you can do the same too mine ^_^

I think the audio is too high I would like a settings menu to change the volume.

Developer

does your computer not support changing volume?

Nice take, I would have never figured out the way to win if I didn't look for a controls thing. Great job. :)

Cool twist on an endless runner.

First, after reading your description, there's nothing wrong with the graphics. They serve their purpose. You should see mine! Similar thing. Second, completing a game is hard. Completing a game in seven days is harder. Completing a game in seven days that's functional is a nigh-impossible feat. A lot of submissions don't work at all, or don't have anything uploaded. You should be proud of what you accomplished.

You have the fundamentals of a game down. Before working on aesthetics, try to tune it a little more. I think better feedback that hitting the red obstacle was the "win" condition would be beneficial. Green vs. red is a good start, but I thought I just lost even though I intentionally hit it. Also, the game is far too easy -- although there are worse problems to have, like it being frustrating or unfair. Play with the settings a little more and see if you can't make something a bit more challenging.

I also would have used a longer music loop, but that isn't something you made. No shame in that, as the people that are able to create 100% of the assets in seven days are few in number, and are usually very experienced game developers.

Overall, this is a great start, and far greater of one than when I started. Keep it up! Good job.

Thank you so much for your comment, before I read it I was starting to lose motivation with game dev, but I think I might keep goinng a little longer and see where it takes me.

Great game! You did an amazing job for your first game, congrats!

I just rated your game, maybe you can do the same on mine ^_^

The game is not bad bad, but the first time I played it was quite confusing but I get to manage somehow, good job!

A good game for a first game jam, i just got confuse the first time cause i didn't know i had to click with the mouse, but i liked the concept, nice work!

Oof.
I don't want to dim your spirits, but I think maybe practicing a bit more might be useful. That way you can make a much more engaging game.
Definitely don't stop though, it's clear you understand this game design thing, now you just have to start expanding your knowledge.

Also I hope that tune will leave my head some time soon. Maybe a quick dive onto Google for royalty free music next time!

I know it is not very engaging, this is my first game. This was an educational experience more than anything else. I was more trying to improve my programming skills than game design. And the music was just because I ran out of time, and I wanted to use as few external assets as possible. :) Thank you for playing Klerb and I hope you like Klerb 2 when I make it. >:)

Simple and sweet. Well done on completing your first Jam.

Very simple and Amazing Game!
Make sure to check my game ~~

Super simple, I like it! Reminds me of the lost connection Dino Game.

Great and playable first jam game! If you can't see my pfp, my first jam submission was a Unity stretched 3d circle that shoots things. Keep the head up and keep working!

Well this sure is a game. Simple enough in its mechanic and it works as expected. Sorry I just can’t really say much else lmao.

for your first jam this is solid!  the gameplay is smooth and some of the visual effects are cool.  I do wish it felt more "endless" and didn't have that win condition.  congrats on finishing this little game!!

Being a game of js an html it is really impressive. It is fun and also kinda fits the theme. Music though :(

Would be nice to change the bg music, I hate these 3 second loops that stuck in your head. I liked the swiping gravity mechanic.

In an endless runner you can't put these winning red boxes, because it complete nullifiels the fun of the game, instead you should use a counter for the meters or a timer to keep track of the progress.

Developer

I have considered your comment and might add some of these features in the future:) I know the music is annoying, I didn't have enough time.

Cool game, took me a while to win (I guess that's because I'm an epic gamer). The music is fitting but maybe a bit short, it's stuck in my head now help

Klerb 👍

I fell in love with that game the moment I clicked play music really fits well

I didn't quite understand how the player's speed was determined,  it's kind of nice though.

Now, I need to go before the music loop melts my brain.
