I really enjoyed this! The environment was nicely laid out, I liked the aesthetic, and the aliens actually spooked me a few times. The main issue I had was the lighting - I only had one glowstick and when it died when I got outside, I couldn't find anymore or my way back into the house (and then I fell in the pit and died). But aside from that, I really enjoyed it - good job!

Ha yep I get that, overscoping is my superpower haha. And ahh that makes sense, I completely missed those but on replaying that's a nice touch!

And sure thing, so the main one was when you first pick up the knife, the two options that appear are 'E - hold to attack' and 'E - interact', which I assume is a bug as whenever you pick it up after this, the second option becomes, 'R - drop'. And the other bug was in the game over menu but I wasn't able to reproduce it. But yeah, nice one!

Haha glad the alien scare landed, I worked quite a bit on that :D but thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Hey thanks for all the feedback! Glad you liked the art and story and will look at improving the cons in an update / future jams - cheers!

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it! And yeah for sure - originally I had a longer / more branchy phase 2 planned (versions for a few different characters, if there were multiple aliens / if you were an alien) but I ran out of time :')

Thanks for playing and the feedback & glad you enjoyed it!

This was great - charming and unique, the game just had a fun vibe to it.  I also like how the game made you discover the mechanics naturally (like barking to sus out the aliens), though I didn't end up working out what to do with the knife or boombox did. There were also a few minor bugs, but overall great stuff (& I found myself playing a couple times until I got the good ending)

Interesting concept and intriguing story, though I think it needs a bit of polish (main things being the UI speech bubbles appearing offscreen / obscured, objectives could've been clearer (the use of the computers, and the voice and text telling you to go opposite directions before then suddenly both telling you to go the same way) & sadly I think the game glitched in the dark room meaning I wasn't able to finish it). Otherwise, cool lil & would be keen to play if there's an update

Really unique and visually great game - the art and story were intereting, and writing was fun (though as mentioned by others, the text was a bit hard to read). Looking forward to future updates!

Thank you!

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it! :) And yeah I originally designed it with controllers in mind, but will definitely be reworking that in the future - thanks for the feedback!

Thanks!

Thank you! Really enjoyed your playthrough and glad you liked it!

'Beneath the Woods' is a stylized, narrative-focused mystery / thriller / puzzle game set in the fictional small town of Redscott Pines, Oregan. The story follows Davis, who returns to his hometown to search for his missing sister (Mina). He hasn't been back since he ran away 2 years earlier. With help from the people closest to Mina, he follows the trail to a church in the woods, and uncovers the secrets lurking beneath...

A stylized 2D mobile horror / visual-novel game about 3 teens attending a Halloween house party where they each encounter a different supernatural event.  Make choices and complete various minigames, and see if you can keep everyone alive until daybreak.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Will look at fixing that

Really fun and well made game! Reminded me a bit of Betrayal at House on the Hill (a game which I love), and I will for sure be replaying this a bunch of times to see all the different outcomes. Nice work!

Thanks so much the feedback - definitely agreed, the audio we ended up keeping very simple due to the time restraints but will for sure look at adding a lot more on this next time (audio interactions, better audio blending between scenes, etc). Thanks again!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! :)

Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it!

PLEASE NOTE: There is a bug on level 5 (Halloween) and level 6 that stop you from progressing further in the story. My apologies for this, and I will be uploading a fixed version of the game as soon as I can once voting has finished.

In the meantime, watch a full walkthrough of the game here:
