Thanks man!

(1 edit)

Oh that's really unfortunate, I have no idea what that could be...

Is it possible some of the files got moved after being unzipped?

Pretty good game, only I REALLY think it would be a good Idea to include the controls... Like Hanggtyz said, I don't think anyone is going to look at the Read Me... Personally, I only thought to look at it after reading her comment...

Once I figured it out I had fun tho... well done :)

I couldn't get past the second level, it was way too hard...

Sifficulty is something I really struggle with too, and it's a mistake I too made with my submission...

I remember hearing that if the game is the perfect difficulty for the developer, it means it's WAY to hard for the players...

Overall good game tho:

really good sound desing,

really good graphics,

really good mechanics,

well done!

Pretty cool game!

Only complait: it was a little unclear that I had to go back to the same place to get the second battery, cause when I took the first one it showed that there was none left...

pretty gory game!

Thanks dude, the story was my main focus and was what I was hoping would sell the game ☺️

Thanks man!

oh that error is really weird...

I think I know how to find it tho, thanks man!

Wow, those are really goood! Thank's man, I'll see what I can do

HOLY SHIT!!! This was the ONLY game that got me that good!

The face's fast movement twards the player really activated them cave man reflexes; almost punched my screen.

I think the clever placement of faces around the corners really helped with the buildup

I really dig the enviornment.

bty, I could only move the camera if I was holding down RMB or LMB..

This was the scariest game I played! I had to take off my headphones

I really liked the small vision distance and choice of colors...

Those footsteps really had me on the edge of my chair.

Only complaint: I was stuck for a while, turning the door knob the wrong way... (knob should't be spelted with a k... it should just be nob. same with know...)

I also think you could have benifited from a louder sound when the angel jumpscare pops up, as well as not closing the game so quick. for me, the game closed quicker than I was able to process what was happedning. (I still got jumpscared, I just think it would have been a lot better with a longer time before closing the game...)

Wow, reallgy twisted story!

Did you make your game directly in pyhton? (I did for mine...)

Really really liked the camera's behaviour!

I think that there could maybe be a texture around the edge of the walls? I noticed that sometimes there was, but iIcould only see it with the small vision circle around the player...

The visuals were amazing,

But I never managed to kill a ghost before getting killed by those evil pumpinks. maybe make it so they can't enter attack mode when you are trying to defeat a ghost? (but they still atack if they have already seen you)

I also never had enough time to read the controls, maybe add a continue button to the loading screen?

I also think the game should pause when you press esc?

Really liked the visuals.

I feel like there could have been a monster chasing me the whole time, like in resident evil?

By this do you mean the ability to heal when you kill an enemy?

I actually think that that would be a really good idea...

Like you when you kill a soldier you steal their armor plates...

it would happen whenever I would be walking against a wall...

Like holding A or D into the wall while walking forward... It's a habit I've built from playing competitive FPSs

Loved the visuals/atmosphere

Only complaint is I kept getting stuck on walls...

In one week!!?

It was a lot of fun!

Really good visuals!

I did get one of those dialogue errors (it was like "invalid dialogue. dialogue wont start"). It was when I tried to look out the window...

Also, for the puzzle with the wheel, it constantly prints out its rotation...

It was really fun!

The high player speed makes it very encouraging to take risks...

this game was amazing!

the controls felt awesom,

I really felt like I was in a small submarine

Graphics were great too!

The graphics and sound desing was amazing!

I did find the white text hard to read, as it overlapped with the white on the main charachter's clothes, maybe move it up a little?

The music and graphics was amazing!

It felt really intuitive that you had to click the ghosts before they reched a pumpkin, but it took me a while to realize you only needed to hit them once...

I also think the game could benifit from getting increasinly harder. I realized that there was only ever three ghosts on the screen at a time. I think it would be a good idea to have 4 ghosts at a time after level 30, then maybe 5 at a time at level 60?

oh ok...

No I didn't use an engine. Only a couple libraries like pygame and random and Astar...

Yeah I did, I used Visual studio code

Edit: I assume that's what you meant? Did you mean something else? Did you mean opcodes or something (I don't actually know what those are I just did a quick google search...)

HOLY SH*T!

Good game man!

The voice acting was amazing!

The puzzles felt a little 'linear', if that makes sense. But they were engaging.

Concept was really cool, and so was the execution imo

only 3 problems:

-In the second level, you can jump over the lower wall using the staires (for a while I was convinced that was the solution lol)

-You can move around when a letter is open.

-There is a message in the top left corner saying an item needs to be rebuilt (lightmap thing)...

I'd be really interested to see phase 2!

I also really liked the concept, how it forced you pick what most defines a person

I really enjoyed it!

I will say, I almost quit when I couldn't figure out how to interact with anything, and almost quit when it felt like I was just gonna be playing through the same level over and over again.

The pixel art was great

It was really exciting to see what the store would turn into next

I could't type 4 into the touchpad in the safe...

And when I tried to exit the safe UI I wasn't able to walk again...

The graphics were really good though. I really liked the sky box

(I feel like the start menu's background could have been a screenshot of the actual game, isted of a wallpaper that didn't really feel like it fit...)

The visuals were great!
The only things was it was kinda annoying to click the black screens to move onto the next ones...

I think that the player moves a little too fast. I found myself outrunung all the enemies to the point where the magic ball didn't actually do anything (cause I outran them before actually killing them)...

a rating would be appreciated man ☺️:

thanks man 😊

thanks man, I really appreciate it ☺️

ok thanks I'll fix that after the rating period ends 👍

I was intending on encouraging the player to hide behind cover and jump out and shoot at the last instant (which worked for me), but yeah I guess it's a little unrealistic to expect players to figure that out during the short period of time the game takes to play...

yeah...

It gets way harder after that too...

Rookie mistake on my part. I'll need to fix that after.

Not knowing how your game's working really sucks lol
