Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, we discussed working on this game more later when we have time to do so, and so I imagine we might try to make a more finished experience later. Of course, we'd need to refactor the code greatly and put a lot of effort into cleaning it up first, and since we are still beginners at game development it will be a tough project to try and complete. (We were imagining if we'd extend this past the jam as an exploratory, story driven, thriller metroidvania inspired by games like Half-Life, Inside, and Portal--without such a huge scope perhaps). I'm not sure what the future for this project is, but I don't think we want to leave it as it is. We might spend more time learning game development techniques and how to use Godot (best practices) before trying to expand our scope further.

I definitely agree with the dialogue. Originally I intended to include an interactive audio based dialogue system and tutorial but evidently we ran out of time and I needed to include something to guide the player, but maybe that could have been moved to the game description?

Overall, this was a really tight platformer experience. It was simple, fun, and quick to play, which made this a fun experience. I enjoyed the audio, and I can tell a lot of work went into producing it (and the visuals), and overall it was well put together. I feel like the "unreliable narrator" button dilemmas and the weird jokes (parakeets) were kind of out of place, and didn't feel strongly tied in, but for a week long game jam, impressive none-the-less. Excellent entry!

The game was fun! It was short, sweet, and simple, but the action was fast paced and hilarious. The toothbrush commentary was quite comedic, and overall I enjoyed playing it. Of course, the game was not very long, and a few more kinds of bacteria might be a fun idea. This game could easily be extended by implementing a "level" system with greater challenges, or maybe even new abilities to attack the bacteria, but for a game jam this was a simple, effective, and well made.

This game was super intuitive and quite fun! I loved the simplistic style, and the resource management of the game. The simple controls really made this an experience I could quickly hop into. Some thoughts:

- I wonder if there could be more variance/events in the gameplay? After a little bit the gameplay can become quite repetitive.

- The art style was super clean and the style was cohesive. This worked well with the audio chosen to immerse the player without overwhelming them.

- I feel like the only resource that needed to be managed was the warp-fuel, the materials never really ran out. Additionally, although I used them a lot, the probes could sometimes be rather unhelpful. I feel like this game could definitely benefit from having more restraints/resources to consider, and more potential actions to commit. The greater variance would lead to more choices and potentially greater success/consequences for the player.


Great game! It was well put together and is an impressive submission to the jam.

The graphics were the clear standout of this game, as well as the strong core mechanics.  I enjoyed this game and made it to the end, and I like the mix of platforming challenges and combat challenges. I might tune up the controls for the platforming, at times they felt a bit jarring or difficult, and also the weapon controls and combat sequences could use some adjustment (the weapon felt clunky and the enemies could often be picked off without engaging them directly. The best enemies where the bird-like ones and the final boss). Overall, this was a strong submission and it is impressive that you managed all this in a week!

The concept and the atmosphere were really engaging at first, however the combat really needs some fine-tuning and balancing (I think especially of reloading the gun when being flanked). It was challenging, but I definitely think that this was a strong entry. Good job!

I loved the idea: Dinosaurs VS the meteorite. The dinosaur graphics were fun looking, and with some tuning the game play could have been an extremely fun, fast-paced arcade experience. I also liked the idea of introducing new dinosaur mechs to the party, and there was definitely some momentum that could have made this game really cool. I feel like you ran out of time, but if you ever do work on this project again, I would definitely work hard on tuning the action experience, which is where this game could really shine!

Really cool concept, however it felt more like rote memorization than a game. Memory games are fun, but with this game it is basically trial-and-error for the first while before you begin to catch on (at which point it becomes more engaging). Perhaps you could introduce short words with similar letters early on to practice some core letters before adding new ones which must be discovered? This would lead to developing muscle memory sooner and I think would have more of that "Aha" feeling. Additionally, I feel like a visual on screen keyboard layout could have been a kinder addition, and the WPM feature could be more of a focus for the "score".


The graphics and audio were very well fitting, and with a few gameplay touch-ups this could be a really cool and fun game. It's almost there, but its more frustrating than rewarding at the current state.

The focus on the design of the game was evident. Because of the minimal art style, the mechanics were clear and approachable. I liked that there was a silly story (and the humorous commentary) to provide some interest and progression, although the focus was obviously on the platforming. I didn't play through the whole thing, but what I did play was fun.


One issue, however, is that certain moments required mechanical levels of precision, which is fine in small amounts, but on occasions these moments would appear in series and mistakes would force you to try again from the beginning of the series. I found that it was hard to "master" any of these moments because they required such precise input that it was more of chance then anything if I passed it. I could also not be the best platformer player. These moments made the game less enjoyable, in my opinion, and at a few points it wasn't fun.(It wasn't rage inducing, just repetitive and frustrating) Overall, though, it was fun.


This game is pretty good, and well put together, it's just not my cup of tea. Good job!
