The comments are much appreciated!

Thanks for playing!  It likely doesn't help anyone find their way to the exit when all the walls look the same.

Appreciate the playthrough and the comments!  Was fun and highly educational to watch.   The notes on perspective and on the alternating tile in the presence of instant movement were useful - will keep that in mind for next time.

Hope to make it back for the next jam, too!

Really appreciate the in-depth review and comments!

I think the keyboard comment has been a running theme, so that'll be fixed for sure.

I like the comment about enemies moving in response to the player's actions - this is making me think about moving entirely to turn-based interaction.  I agree that the stamina mechanic could use some rework, too.

Appreciate the playthrough and the review!

Thanks much!

Appreciate the comments, and thanks for playing through it!

I appreciate the detailed review!  There's a lot to work through in here, but I'll make it through it for sure.

Appreciate the note on entering the wormhole - I'll try to make that a little more obvious when I pick this game back up to work on it again.

The audio on the title screen was supposed to loop, so that's a bug I'll need to fix.

Glad to hear that the game had some degree of replay value and didn't immediately become boring.  I was hoping that randomized enemies and the like might help with that - difficulty tends to depend a lot on RNG, though it wasn't tuned to be too difficult.  I need to add some enemy types that might ramp that up a little bit.

Really chill vibe so far with enjoyable music.  The puzzle mechanics are fun, and progression / exploration kept me interested in playing.

Hoping to see more of the game!

Thanks very much!  Always nice to hear that :)

I should have probably limited how many bullets could be on the screen at once - will have to fix that.

Originally there was going to be more of a story there as the ghost moved between floors (spoiler: boss fight at floor 100 to steal someone else's place in line to exit purgatory), but alas - ran out of time to implement :)

Appreciate the playthrough and the feedback!

(1 edit)

I got a kick out of this game.  I enjoyed playing through it - it set up some scary vibes pretty effectively, built tension throughout, and seemed to execute pretty well.  The intro was a great first impression.  There's an obvious connection to the theme .

Only complaint I had was a little weirdness with the invert-y option - had to fuss with it a bit to convince it to give me mouse controls I was happy with.  On the other hand ... I was really happy that the option existed, though, so thank you for including it!

'grats on submitting your first game ever!  Was a fun concept to play through.

Thanks!  I ran out of time - wanted to do more, but that's the way these things go.

Appreciate the feedback!  First time I've done my own music / sfx for anything, so makes me happy to hear that they were a plus.
