Thanks for the feedback! Minimap with meteorite spawn indicators was actually planned, but didin’t make it in time for the jam submission. Camera zoom is not currently considered, but we might implement a rotateable camera.

We also need to do more playtesting to eliminate crashes. As I mentioned in other comment, we didn’t really have time to properly test the game in time for the submission.

That’s unfortunate. The update I did fixed the exact same issue on my old Linux laptop, so I assumed it would be enough. I’d probably have to tune the shaders down even more to make it work, but I probably won’t be able upload another fix until the voting is over.

Thanks again for all your help! Maybe you can check the game out in the future if we keep updating and fixing it after the jam is over.

The fixed version 1.0.1 is now released. Theres a new “HD Terrain” toggle in the settings and disabling it should hopefully render the terrain correctly. Feel free to let me know if there are any other issues.

There is an issue with rendering the terrain on certain machine configurations. Game logic itself is unaffected, but the terrain isn’t rendered correctly. Please note that the game is designed to only support GLES3, so if you have an older graphics card, that might be the cause of the issue.

Would you mind sharing your specs (specifically graphics card), OS version and other possibly helpful information? I’d also suggest updating your graphics card drivers to the latest version if you haven’t already.

I might be able to disable certain shader effects to try and fix the issue. I’m unsure about the rules with patching things during the voting phase, but I sent a message to the admin about it.

Let me know if you want me to message you somewhere in case I’m able to fix it so you can try to play the game again.

Thanks for the feedback! There’s a known issue with the meteorites causing a game crash at least when hovered over in “Destroy” mode. I will look into it and probably release a fix for it some time after the voting is done, since updating the game is “locked” for now.

Here’s a somewhat accurate re-enactment of the night after submitting the game:

After testing it myself turns out you can’t destroy the meteorites just by clicking them in “Destroy” mode. The game just crashes instead. I don’t know if it’s better or worse. 😅

I never expected a game about harvesting plants in a greenhouse to feel like a fast-paced FPS. Really had fun playing this. Maybe there could be a progression system based on the days passed.

The game was pretty laggy for me on startup, but running in windowed mode with the window scaled down worked fine. Shoutout for implementing proper settings as well so I was able to adjust the mouse sensitivity.

I was unable to launch the game on Windows. I got an error stating “Couldn’t load project data at path “.”. Is the .pck file missing?”. Maybe double-check the exported project and contact the jam admins to see if you can upload a fixed version?

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to balance the gameplay in time for the submission. I personally did barely any playtesting and I think I never actually played the game for more than a few minutes at a time to test things so most of my contributions to gameplay were purely “on paper”.

Luckily my teammate had a bit more time to do some balancing regarding resource gain and consumption, but I admit that maybe the “threat” was not so threatening after all.

I’m still very happy with how we managed to create a pretty solid foundation which allows us to expand and improve the game in the future. We already have some ideas for updates for when the jam is over, but we’ll have to wait and see if we find the time to implement them.
