Good work so far!  the player jumps so high that I can't tell what I'm about to land on so I'm basically just guessing. I do like the flips in the air!

The zip file wont open for me. Also your description says you made this a couple of months ago? I think that defeats the purpose of a game jam if you had a longer amount of time to work on it. That doesn't feel fair to the rest of the people who had a time limit.

Cool concept! I would work on making the assets you use a little more cohesive. Also the hitboxes for the player was a little large so I would die really easily. Also I wasnt sure how to get past the spring? idk if that was just me.

I like that grapple mechanic! I wanted more to do though, I just sat on the floor the whole time and every time I tried to grapple, I died. Great start!

Cute visuals and music choice! This was enjoyably frusturating! reminds me of Getting Over It or Only Up. Took me a while to get used to the controls, so I would make the beginning a little easier so you don't lose people.

Also, I got stuck up where there's those two bouncy pads and I couldn't jump out of it or anything.

Some advice for the pixel art, make sure you don't mix pixel resolutions. When you scale up a low resolution pixel sprite(the crater platform for example) and put it next to a high resolution one(the player), it looks a little slapped together. The art itself is really good!! I think if you fixed that, the game would look a whoooole lot more polished.

Really cool! I love the trippy art style. I agree with XeonZach that it should focus on platforming. You can still have enemies, but I would use them more sparingly. Fun gameplay!

how do i play this?

Solid racing game! Player keeps catching on the ground a bit, i wish it didn't slow me down i wanted to see how fast I could go.  The music keeps stopping and repeating? i liked that one racing song, just wish I could hear more. Good job guys!

Love this, such a clever idea. I kept wanting to click the skills with my mouse since im already using my mouse to place them so maybe that could be a functionality?

Cool idea! Could be a little harder, im finding there's no real consequence to jumping when the guardian is around if you just strafe a bit. Great Job!

Puzzles are so clever! You really do a great job of teaching the different mechanics to the player! Some polishing issues, for example collision for the creation of the buddies can be wonky sometimes. Also the player sticks to the wall which could be fixed just by adding a new physics material to the rigid body and turning down the friction. Really cool ideas, and a great take on the theme!

Love the concept! So clever to take a game ABOUT jumping and make it so that you can't jump, fits the theme perfectly.

you can download a GBA emulator and play it that way, thats what i did lol

This has all the elements of a super addicting game! Maybe player speed could start a little lower so the increase of player speed could be more helpful. Great! Keep it up!

Wonderful background art. I love the way the player flips its so silly. This is a great little game, just wish there was some warning before the lifeguard turns so instead of luck, you win based on reaction time. Well done!

Models and character controller works great and exactly as expected! I would mention how it's not optimized, but you can only do so much in 48 hours. Other than that, I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do gameplay-wise? Right now it seems like the goal is just to survive, but I would add some kind of objective for the player to do so they don't get bored. Maybe add an item to pick up a la Slender 8 pages? Difficulty could ramp up based on that objective. Great work and love the spooky atmosphere!
