This thread made me smile.

Yeah that part was a little odd. If I did it again I would put in a replay button, since closing and reopening works like you said.

True.  It only takes one hit for the spacebar to be detected, but the game is more about learning and thinking ahead to how long it will take for the input to go through.  If this were a "proper" game, I would do what you mentioned, but for the jam I was more interested with what I could do under this self-imposed technical limitation.

Thank you for playing and commenting though, I really appreciate it!

Interesting concept. The one thing that I would want added would be a guide (like a ghost image or something) to show you how large your laser will be on your next shot. I had fun though, good job :)

Very cool! Reminded me of Crypt of the Necrodancer.  It took me a while to figur out that I needed to hit space for the cards (but I also didn't read any instructions, tbh). The only thing I would point out is that you can still earn points after death.

Very interesting concept. The only gripe I have is that sometimes I was following directions with wire cutting (I think?) and I failed. Also is there an order that each of the mini-puzzles have to be solved in?

This game is the right kind of frustrating. Any mistake made is 100% the player's fault and it makes me want to keep trying to get it right. The aesthetic is adorable, and I would love to see more development in graphics post-jam. Great job!

Here's my game, Frame by Frame - An infinite runner at 1 FPS.

Looking forward to playing everyone's games!

Frame by Frame is an infinite runner that runs at 1 frame per second, and input lag is part of the strategy.

It's getting late, but I plan on playing as many games in this thread as I can in the morning!

Haha, no worries, it's a jam after all. Props for making a game in the first place!

I still don't know what the end goal is, but the mechanics made themselves very clear with some very nice sound design. Cool game!

While the idea to make all of the sprites 1s was fun, there were some issues with collision detection. At one point, I went too far to the left and became irreperably stuck in the floor, forcing me to quit and restart. Sometimes the serifs on the platforms had a similar issue. Overall though, pretty cool!
