Cool idea! Love the character design B)  It was a bit tricky to navigate, but it was fun!

Thank you so much for playing! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to include all the backgrounds in the game. Also as you pointed out the controls are not smooth. I have made improvements to the game and will be uploading a webGL version once the jam is done.

Yes, you are right, I couldn't polish the game well enough to have smooth controls.  My idea was to make the character navigate the world entirely using scalable platforms, but wasn't smooth in execution. Very creative idea! Well-crafted and challenging puzzle design.  I love the art style and cute character. Would love to see a version with some sound effects added to the character in different states ( hot and cool). Good luck!

Yes, the game already has a simple AI for the T-rex, so that it can detect obstacles in front and jump over them.

But the jump can also be activated by pressing the space key because I have forgotten to remove that part from the script :( Thank you so much for pointing that out! However you can simply play without ever pressing the space and focus on placing the obstacles, the T-rex will jump on its own.

This is my first-ever game jam submission!

I started a little late and progressed slowly. I could not complete everything and polish the game with sound effects, animation and other effects. But overall I'm so happy that I finished making a game :D
