Says the invite is invalid for me lol

Sorry XD

Hi, the invite link to the discord server seems to be invalid for me. Any chance of a new link? Thanks!

Hey VoidGeht! Didn't see you on Discord, or else I would've messaged you there.
Like I already said, I really respect the way your game turned out, I really loved the atmosphere and the cold style of the storytelling.

If you need music for your game heading forward, consider me as a composer! Here's my portfolio https://soundcloud.com/dolphinflavoredicecream and here's my website https://michaeleatoncomposer.weebly.com/

Thanks!

Cool game! You are really good at writing dialogue! Each character's lines feel different, and their personalities are all distinct and likable. The deep lore of the world felt very organic and the way the characters talked about it was really natural and contributed more to their personalities. Also, great job on having a seemingly huge amount of lore packed into this game - different factions, global/interplanetary historic events - not easy to do! Combat was fun, nice enemy design.

I dont usually play games in this genre so I feel like I can't really give criticism. But I had fun!

Nice game!! Fun gameplay. It was hard but once I learned the attack patterns of the enemies it became a lot easier, also getting more max health helped. Agree with Liam on the level design. Would also like to throw in that different enemy design would be cool too, I found that I usually just run around in a big circle around the walls for every level and it worked. Anything to break that up would be interesting (haven't beaten it yet so there may already be something like that in there).

But the gameplay loop is there and it's good! Good luck on it in the future!

 High score: Sector 16!

Love this game, it's a very unique concept. Gameplay loop is fun, one could even say a-maze-ing...

The story on the right was intriguing and I liked how it made a complex imaginative world out of a flat, near-artless 2D world. And the main character's struggle was felt.

I didn't notice the stats on the bottom till my 3rd playthrough, haha, maybe that's just me. Maybe making them colored would make it more noticeable?

Also, I enjoyed destroying millions of ampersans and getting their energy afterwards. Maybe in a future iteration there could be ways of improving the character, or slowing down the deterioration based on the energy you picked up?

Lastly, the text on the right is hard to read and I feel like I've rarely gotten to see the whole paragraph because I had to find the exit quickly. I think the slow text speed is cool, but maybe increasing the speed, or having it already typed out to begin with would be nice. Although I do like the idea of trying to stay alive longer to be able to read the story. Either way, great game!

Very nice platformer! Loved the story bits, and agree the newspapers could be a bit bigger for more readability.

The art was cool, the main character animations were all smooth. More SFX could've gone a long way to give more player feedback by pushing buttons and platforms breaking.

Really somber themes, I appreciated the darker tone and darker color pallette. I also now just realized that the main character's whole goal was to get to the water purifier but it was "too late". Very well done. Also, that music in level 3 felt so good until all the instruments came in and it was no longer just piano. I was getting distinct Hollow Knight vibes! (lmk if you want me to write music for you👀 lmao)

Thanks for this game!

I really enjoyed this game. I didnt find the gameplay boring per se, it was more meditative. The long walks really get you thinking about the world you're in, and the narrative is really intriguing. I was interested in the main character. It felt rewarding to experience the story upon reaching each objective. The ending was great.

Some nitpicks: could've been nice to move the map at the bottom left to a different corner to see that part of the screen. Also being able to lead the player with your mouse click instead of WASD would also help with navigation a bit.

Otherwise, amazing, I would love to see this game fleshed out, with a longer story and maybe some mini-games for each task except for a click-and-read. It reminds me a lot of Darkwood!
