Really cool idea! I liked that you could build up massive grids as you upgrade, and the skill tree was great for replayability.

I did have a problem with the speed as the game was way to slow at the beginning. A speed up button similar to other tower defense games like Bloons would work wonders with the pacing.

Overall, a solid game jam game. Great job!

Wow, first time someone's called my games one of their favorites. Thank you!

Got a score of 21. The art is nice and it's a cool idea.

Overall, it's a fun lil game that's easy to understand. Good job.

Wow, I'm glad you liked the game so much! Thank you.

Sorry that you only got 5 categories (there are 9 total) and some questions repeated. I programmed a tool so that questions wouldn't loop, but in my rush to upload the game last minute I forgot to turn it on. 😑

Your ideas for an expanded version are good too. The original concept was that the game was going to be more like Slay the Spire where you could play different trivia question cards that would give different effects/attacks. Alas, I didn't have time to do that sadly. If I ever do a full version I would definitely make the gameplay more interesting and flesh everything out a lot more.

I do plan on updating the game shortly after the jam is over to fix some things (pacing, audio, looping questions, etc). You're welcome to check it out again when I've done that if you want.

Thanks again for your comment, it means a lot. 😄

Yeah, most of the people that have played the game have mentioned the speed of animations or pacing. 😅

I plan on fixing it in an update shortly after the jam concludes. Skipping the transitions/animations is a good idea too, I'll probably put an option in for that.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you like the art and animations as I don't think of myself as much of an artist.

Thank you for the kind word! I'm glad you liked the game. 😄

Thanks! Glad you like it. 😁

Oops, sorry about that. I wrote and checked all the questions myself but must have accidently missed this fact. I'll be sure to fix it for the next update along with the animation speed.

Thanks for playing and bringing this to my attention. 🙂

I gave some guy a pitch for the Banjo 2.0, he loved it.

Very funny game. Great job!

Not to sound like the last few comments, but...

👍

Wow! the first principle fight was not supposed to take 15 minutes. I'll work on fixing the pacing issue in a future update after the jam.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I'm glad you like the game. :)

I'm going to update the game after the jam to fix the pacing issue along with a few other things.

Thank you for playing though, I hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you for your kind words! :)

Yeah, it seems most people that play the game say that either the pacing is slow or the music is too loud. I'm going to do an update after the jam to hopefully make the game feel/play better.

I have nothing bad to say about this game. Everything about it is amazing!

You should look into doing a full version because this game has a lot of potential.

For this being your first game, it's extremely impressive! I was still trying to figure out how to make things move in my first week of coding. 😅

Lol, I was hoping someone would notice that.

The art and music sets the mood for the game perfectly. Reminds me a lot of Thomas Was Alone.

Fantastic game, very well done!

Thank you! I had another commenter also tell me that the pacing was a bit slow. Was it the speed of the dialog, cutscenes, gameplay, or was it something else that disrupted the pacing?

Awesome! I'll be sure to give it another go when it's updated.

Really cool concept. I found the game a little hard to control, but everything felt responsive and I didn't notice any bugs.

I think it would be better if you didn't have to press shift to collect friend and instead they just join you automatically when you come in contact with them (this would work well for the end goal as well).

Overall, a really solid little puzzle game, and you made an impressive number of levels too. Great job!

Also, tell your brother that he did a really good job with the music. 🙂

A fun WarioWare style game about climbing the corporate ladder.

I did have a bit of a problem with the mopping minigame as the mop was a little sensitive, but other then that I didn't notice any big issues.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game. Great job!

🍕 I got da pizza! 🍕

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. 😊

I did actually create a filter of sorts to not repeat question, but in a rush to upload the game I forgot to turn it on 😑. I also didn't have a great deal of time to test the game, so there are a few bugs, spelling mistakes, and the audio isn't balanced like you mentioned. I'll update the game after the jam and fix all this.

Thank you for playing the game though, I hope you enjoyed it.  😊

I didn't show the right answer when answering wrong on purpose so that if the question ever looped around again (which is unlikely as there are 90 questions) that the player would still have to guess the correct answer.

I'm glad you liked the game. Thank you for playing it. :)

I'm glad you liked the game. I'll be sure to work on my pacing in future projects.

Thanks for playing!

Amazing concept! Even the game page looks super cool.

This would be a really fun 2d adventure/puzzle game like Pikuniku or Hue if made long enough.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the game.

This game has so much style and it's really fun! I would be surprise if you didn't place high in the jam.

Everything felt super polished and overall was a really fun and enjoyable game. It reminded me of old games like Streets of Rage or the old TMNT games.

The game has a very nice message about the power of a hug. I wish it was longer.

I got too much money and crowns that when I jumped I broke the sound barrier.

10/10. Would break sound barrier again.

I played this game because I wanted to be a buff ducky, was not disappointed.

Sadly, I was arrested for tax evasion. :(

Ah, I thought I had to press enter again. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I played the whole game and thoroughly enjoyed it. It reminded me a bit of Minit which is another game I really enjoy.

The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice if there were a few checkpoints as it was a bit of hassle sometimes to run all the way back to where you were when you ran out of power.

Other then that it was really good, especially since it was your first game jam. Well done!

Hey, I don't know if it's just for me, but I can't see the game when playing in browser after the sharp corner message.

Fun and addicting little game, great Job!

I came 7th on the leaderboard with 1600 points or so.

The art of this game is by far my favorite part of it and the music and sounds accompany it nicely for a cozy atmosphere.

Sadly, I didn't really understand how to play the game. I enjoyed flying around space to the different planets, but I wasn't sure what to do on any of them.

Overall, if it had more of a tutorial on how to play, I think this would be a really enjoyable experience.

Really cool and unique game. Great job!

Thank you! I may make this a mobile game sometime after the jam since I've had a few other people say it would make a good mobile game too. I'll be sure to make the UI not last so long if I update this game in the future.
