Thanks for the feedback!

We have some updates ready for after the jam ends. The landscape still needs work, but we took Jade's suggestion of a quick improvement and added a gradient over the background layer to give different coloring over different areas. We also made the minimap a bit bigger, and added a rocket icon that follows the edge to guide you back to the rocket. We originally had the size of the main viewport smaller and when we increased it we forgot to also increase the size of the minimap to match. We will also adjust the border coloring and see if that helps it stand out better.

Thanks!

Thanks!

It took us a few days to figure out what we wanted to try, so we only had about 7 days of work on it. We did not expect to get anything ready in time, so we are really happy we got something we could submit. It did involve long nights, but we had fun doing it!

I like the reversal of expectations where leveling actually reduces your stats, instead of boosting them.

Thanks!

A nice start for only 9 hours!

The projectiles were really nice. The sound FX also worked really well.

This feels like a good start. The lag was eventually enough that I stopped, but once I figured out what to do it was fun.

This was a fun game. The younger members of our team really enjoyed it.

I would suggest making the hit boxes more clear, especially for the smaller ones. A tutorial or just more info on how the towers work would also help.

You're welcome!  I'm sorry I can't give more specifics on how it happened or what caused it.  Good luck figuring it out!

Loved the intro music.  All of the music was on point.

We did encounter a bug.  The first time through, we were able to simply walk through everything, as neither the spikes nor the energy bolts caused a restart.  After a couple of restarts due to running out of energy, the obstacles started to take effect.

An interesting set of puzzles.  It might be nice have something like a level system, so you could see how many levels you had completed and how many were left to go.

I'm a big fan of puzzle games too.  Finding that balance between too hard and too easy can be a challenge, and you totally nailed it.

I really enjoyed the music, it added a lot of atmosphere to the game.

We'd love for you to review ours if you can! Ours was in the first stream, but we have learned more about how to improve our game watching you review other games than we did from ours being streamed. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for doing these streams!

Thanks! We really didn't expect to have anything ready to submit when we started this. We had so much fun working on it that we found ourselves staying up to meet the sun most days.

This was a fun puzzle game.  It was challenging enough that I had to think about how to solve the later puzzles, while still being simple enough that the younger members of our team solved them all.  Well done.

That was a fun little game. I like the use of the arrows during interactions. One issue I had was that I got most of the other items before the house key and the item list mostly covered the building so that I only just saw a small piece light up to show I could interact with something under it.

Thanks! A friend play tested for us and jokingly commented about the code not being there, so we threw it in towards the end for fun.

This was a fun puzzle game. I liked the time slowing mechanic.

Thanks! This was our first game jam, and playable game. A lot got cut to get it submitted for the jam, especially adding and play balancing the enemies, so we favored making it easier and only got 2 in. We are also planning to allow the player to rely on combat or evasion, but that really did not come through at this point, and does make the combat feel a bit off. The shield and repulsor tools are the first part of that evasion option, but were only added shortly before the deadline. We probably should have had some creatures guarding the power stations for this version.

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback!

We really enjoyed your stream yesterday. You did an excellent job of playing the games and providing feedback! It was much better than the earlier stream. We understand the need to give everyone a chance to have their game streamed, and ours was in the earlier stream. If there is time we would love to have you play our game and give us feedback (streamed or not). This is our first game jam, and playable game. A lot got cut to finish in time, but we do plan to continue working on it and seeing what we can do. Any feedback will be a big help. Thanks for doing these streams and reviews!

This is our first jam and first playable game. We only started learning Godot about 6 months ago and would love some feedback.

This was fun, but I think the UI could use a bit of work. It would be nice to have an easy way to sort the equipment, especially with the blacksmith being so far down the path. With all of the equipment listed randomly it could be hard to tell what the best piece was for a given slot, especially when you had to scroll. I think it would also be nice to add a way to switch between characters while viewing their stats or equipment, rather than exiting the screen and then selecting the next character.

This was a fun little game.
