Not sure what exactly is hard about 2.5D. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe I don't see the style that hard to recreate.

And I am sorry for the confusion. I've updated the GDD with mistakes and explanations.  Besides controls, the game actually works as intended, but it does not communicate the goal properly and creates frustration that can be easily fixed.

Sometimes we just get too ambitious and run out of time 😹. I knew about the control problems from week one, but even after the jam ended, I was not 100% sure how to properly fix them. Coding is not my main field.

The intro kinda communicates that you need to gather resources, but it does not tell you that you play for a high score.

Many players think the top right indicator shows how many of each, while it was meant just a multiplier.

Ahaha, nicely put.

Yeah, thanks for the feedback. Idk, on the one hand is good that people run into the same problems, but it is sad the people run into the same problems...

A miss on my part, but I might update it only after the jam ends.

I guess my affinity shines through and trough 😅🤣

Yeah, I got carried away with some animations and with a critical bug which made the game unplayable in the browser.

I belive the main problem is that I've spend very little time updating the controls. One of the purposes was to dig just because is fun, but unfinished controls are the opposite of that 😥

Construct have linux and mac support, but sadly I don't have any way to test them at the moment. Plus I am not sure if adding a new build before the jam ends is not against the rules.

Understandable. Well, at least I want to know that you rated the game based on design and not performance. If you want to give it another try, the update is on.

Update: the game had a problem with low-spec PC's, now if you use Chrome or Edge it runs smoothly in the browser. Still looking at why Firefox is slow.

Yeah, sorry for that. I will try to fix it until the end of the submission and also include a desktop version.

Done and done. Thanks for the feature 😼

Howdy. I really like the quality of your demo. Is very close to the original game.

But I have a few questions:

  1. Is the license type here the same as on Construct 3 store?
  2. Any plans for sales or updates? I think the price is reasonable, but quite costy on my region. I saw you made a discount on Construct store, but not here.
  3. How reasonable is the template for a non programmer? The screenshots with documentation seems detailed, but I might still strugle in the begining.
  4. Is it compatable with other plugins? Like Greengrinds?

Sorry if you already anwsered this questions somewhere else. Wish you the best!

Thanks buddy 😸

That was the initial plan, but we ran out of time.

Yup, yup. Downwell was for sure one of the main inspirations.

Let's just say that we went for a more adventurous look 😅

Geez, I remember playing these helicopter games like 10-15 years ago 😹. Good stuff, ngl.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback. The team already took into account the problems, but still is good to know that the rest of the game in enjoyable.

Yeah, ahaha. Doing a jam with such a big team is an experience on its own.

The parallax effect is the GOAT for sure 😹

It's really good Mark gave us a 4-day period to polish the build.

We mentioned it a few times, but yeah, the shrink was a last-minute ditch.

Thank you! 2/3 of our team were artists, and I think it shows 😹

We do hope the tutorial was useful.  I myself had trouble with some jam entries without instructions.

Thank you a lot! This might be one of the best comments a developer could ever get 😻.

Thanks. We tried to give as much engagement as we can.

Making a new game it seems 😶‍🌫️

Yup, your perspective on the game is quite complete. Thanks for playing 😼

Thanks 😸. Yeah, we took that into account. Blending assets must be the most common feedback.

Thank you 😸

A royal kobold diver 👺

Samurai power fantasy in a nutshell. Even tho the game is small, it's surprisingly fun to cut around all the enemies.

I wish the line showed the trajectory until the very end of the track. Good concept and a clean implementation.

The concept is neat. I would try to implement a more straightforward punishment system. It does not feel consequential nither for you or the customer. In rest, a solid entry.

Perfect execution of the theme. The game is very polished and feels complete.

Reminded me of this comic series. We are waiting for a Laso Cat ARG 😹

I like how you start the action from the get-go. I didn't feel bored and haven't encountered any bugs or problems. Solid entry.

Aaha, maybe you should rename it "brother/sister" simulator 😅. I had a few issues with sensitivity. I've tried to cut the apple and it gave me a few times and empty pixel.

The game is quite meditative and it's easy to play. Good work.

I feel like the precision for the first few levels is too tight. But the game plays smoothly and the music helps with the focus.

Thank you. We appreciate your words 😇.
