I thought that the artwork was brilliant, and your hamster is adorable! The mechanic of stealing size by defeating enemies was also interesting. Great submission!

Nice hamster

Really sick game, kinda wish the dash did damage and that it was a bit more dynamic (having little or no knockback on hits feels a bit strange, I feel like it'd benefit from being a bit slower but having more impactful hits). Still, cool wave-based arena game, definitely like the balance of bigger hitboxes when you're big but being harder to hit when you're small.

The art is absolutely top notch, one of the best I've seen in the entire jam so far.

The combat is tad bit too simplistic/repetitive and I think it could have used one or two other character moves that were required by the player to break up gameplay. Maybe a shield/deflect option for projectiles.

Nice take on the theme!

The artstyle is really good!

I see a lot of attributions and I must say you did fantastic job meshing all of them together, great aesthetic and music choice! I feel the gameplay suffers a bit from feeling repetitive with not a lot of variety, and the mechanics are a bit too simple to keep it engaging for long. Love the concept though, great job!

Very cool artstyle!

I like your take on the theme - size representing hp. It's also such an intuitive way to know the status of self & enemies. The level "Normal" is very beginner(me) friendly and I really appreciate that. Cool pixel art style!

Submitted

Cool game! Loved the concept and the artstyle/animations. Looks very polished and appealing. I wish the combat had a little bit more depth (stuns? dodging?), but overall really nice

Submitted

Nice game! Though, it's pretty odd that the projectiles don't scale with the character? More could be done with the theme of scaling that could tie everything together more neatly.

Submitted

Love this concept! Gets quite stressful when you're pea-sized. A great take on the theme!

Submitted

The game is so fun! I didn't know I can increase in size if I hit enemies for long enough. I really enjoyed the gameplay!

Submitted

I dig this. Very satisfying watching the enemies shrink down! But stressful once you're pea-sized haha. Well done.

Neat idea, felt reminiscent of the latest Doom games in how you're constantly having to push into fights to heal up.

Nice stuff, menu artwork was lovely and the dash felt satisfying. Good job.

Submitted

Fun little concept. The combat is indeed too simple, as it's just button mashing. Made it to wave 24 by facetanking everything. But in general it had a bit of a Castlevania Symphony of the Night vibe, with the art style and the attack, which I liked.

Submitted

Extremely cool visuals! The gameplay really doesnt feel super dynamic, maybe having some block mechanic or something could help. Still fun though, good job!

Submitted

I like the idea and the art you chose! Button mashing was a bit much for me though. I also felt like I didn't have any meaningful choices with the mechanics in the game. Seemed like no matter what I tried to do, I was going to get hit, so my strategy eventually became run full speed from one side of the screen to the other and click frantically.

Submitted

Nice bit of button mashing slashing fun. All the art work fitted together really nicely. SFX stacked to be quite loud at times

Submitted

The idea is veru simple, but I think it could work. Sadly the combat is way too simplistic and avoiding projectiles feels almost impossible so I just mostly button mashed. I felt like I would like to see different effects size has on the gameplay. Even something like bigger = slower, but more powerful attacks, smaller = quicker but less powerful?

Submitted

a good game, its kinda hard to avoid the projectiles but overall nice game
