Sorry about that. Neither of us have a Mac so we're completely unable to test that build.

The art style and tone are fantastic

The art style is fantastic. I'd love to see this expanded after the jam

The music and boomerang are great

I really like this mechanic.

The animations are really good and the concept is intriguing.

This game feels very atmospheric. I'm a huge fan of the wavy effect on the text

This feels very complete, especially for a jam. There are way more mechanics than I expected and they all feel polished.

I also really like the music and UI.

I'm not very good at this. But my brother's high score is 3700.

It's always nice to see a PICO-8 entry in a jam.

I played this in co-op with my brother. It was really fun!

Most operating systems do that for any program they don't recognize. Every GameMaker game I've ever downloaded from itch.io has triggered that warning including my own. I can understand being put off by it though.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and that does sound like a great concept for a game. If you played on the WebGL version, the tutorial video doesn't display (hence the recommendation at the top of the page). The full tutorial is visible in the Windows download as well as in both text and video format on the game's main page.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll make sure to keep it in mind if we ever update the game. If you're looking for a slower/more controllable tutorial, the game's main page has both a text and video version of it.

I would love to make that. Maybe sometime I'll have the resources to do so

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Throughout the whole process of building this game, I was thinking how cool it could be to actually build a physical version. That would be quite the challenge but it can still be played physically using two separate grids and keeping track of raised and lowered spaces manually (which is how the rules were initially designed and playtested).

Thank you for trying our game. I'm sorry you found it confusing. There is a tutorial in-game (though it doesn't work in the web version, hence the recommendation at the top of the page). I've now also added the tutorial to this page as a trailer and included a text version in the description. I hope you'll give the game another try.

I know about that protection. All downloadable games from the jam triggered it. However, after I said to run anyways, a second warning appeared that was a lot more direct and didn't even leave me the option to ignore it.

Unfortunately, I cannot run the game since the upload is missing required file.

The game has no defining mechanics and no relation to the theme. However, I absolutely love the art style you went for though the double-jump could us an animation. I would love to play an updated version with the voice-over implemented.

The concept is cool and an interesting direction to take the theme (though it only barely fits). However, the game is 100% impossible to play as you die within a second (not even long enough to read the output from a single command).

The game's concept isn't particularly original and there are many bugs (ex: falling through the background). However, the art though simple looks cool.

The concept was interesting though not particularly well executed. Perhaps the ability to see a transparent version of the other world would help to understand the levels better. I don't really see how the game fits the theme however.

The game isn't particularly unique and doesn't draw on the theme very frequently or in a very interesting way. However, the execution was great though movement was a bit slow and there seemed to be a lot missing (more levels, options, title). I especially enjoyed the bounciness of the character while moving.

Great concept and the levels were incredibly interesting. Its also a take on the theme that really surprised me. The art and sound design were simple but effective though the moving sound got a bit annoying after a while. Just a heads-up though, you can fall out of the world permanently if you miss the door in the 3rd room.

The gameplay is nothing new though the clones do add a new layer of strategy. The art and sound design is fantastic.

This is an interesting concept though it is incredibly difficult to see what is going on due to a buggy camera. I did like the art style though.

This is an interesting concept though it is incredibly difficult to see what is going on due to a buggy camera.

This is an interesting concept though it ends up feeling more like a strange control scheme than you being your own enemy. The game a fun though the music did get annoying quickly.

Art is great though the game's design may be overly complex for a game jam. The different battle designs are very interesting. The game is quite difficult to play however, because it is so dark and slow.

Just a heads-up that the game was flagged as a virus by Windows 10.

Really unique idea I didn't expect to see. This was a completely different direction to take the theme.

I really loved the old TV art style. It adds enormously to the game.

The art and level design really stand out. The mushrooms lead to particularly great rooms that are both puzzles and interesting platforming challenges.

Great concept that quickly becomes very difficult. This is a really clever direction to take the theme.

Fun and well-polished. The level design is quite clever. The character is a bit hard to control however.

Thank you for playing the game. However, that puzzle can be completed in its current state. There is a spot near the bottom of the room where you can enter the radius while standing on black and then follow that in order to interact with the required torch.
