The game's base mechanic is interesting and was enjoyable to mess around with. Having a tutorial would allow new players to become aware of how to play the game as I was very confused when first starting out. There were some bugs, but other than that nice job!

I agree with the other comments that the game has an excellent and pretty polished mechanic of choosing both squares or one square. That was extremely fun to use and had me playing pretty far into the game. As mentioned, the collisions need some work but that never caused any game-breaking issues during my playthrough. The music fit the game very well and was a good selection. My biggest downfall of this game as I was testing what would happen to me if I touched an enemy when I first encountered one and it sent me all the way to the beginning of the game. There have to be checkpoints as I lost like 4-5 minutes of progress. Also, all the levels are in one scene of the game which caused some freezing when playing on the web player. To kill two birds with one stone, split this massive level into shorter segments on different scenes and have a checkpoint for each of these so that a loss is not devasting. Overall, this game is really well made and I had a blast playing it. Good work!
I really loved the smooth movement and shooting of the character in this game. The mechanic of being in a certain area to shoot your weapon worked surprisingly well. After some time of playing, I found the fuel mechanic very tedious and never got more fuel back than I used myself. This means that it was very difficult to win the game even if I'm hitting most of the shots and avoiding being hit. The game would benefit from a health bar instead and a win condition of enemies killed or time survived. These changes would make the game more replayable and engaging in my opinion. Also, the fuel sometimes spawned outside of the map making it unreachable. Overall this was a good project with a lot of potential. Good job!
This game was actually really fun to play! The mechanic of cutting enemies had almost no issues or bugs which was very surprising to me. I do believe this game would be much better with linear levels instead of exploration because I got lost and had to replay the same levels over again. Good work this game is underrated!
The game has an amazing presentation and was extremely fun to play. The difficulty curve was top notch and I felt like I was getting better and better with each level while still being challenged. This game's concept is not super unique so that would be the one thing that hinders it, but other than that it is a masterpiece.
Thanks for the response! I really spent a lot of time making the movement feel fun in my game and I am glad that feel the same way. I tried to incorporate WASD alternatives in my game through my description but your control scheme makes so much more sense as it mimics a lot of other popular games. I will use this feedback when designing my next game. Appreciate it!
Great game! I really liked the sound and music that you were able to put together during this short time period. The gameplay felt pretty unique and definitely was enjoyable throughout the whole game. Few minor issues like the rope cutting for no reason or lucky/unlucky bounces off chainsaws hindered the experience a little bit but overall a more than solid entry to the jam. Good work! (I would appreciate It if you could check out my game as well :D)
I loved the presentation of the game with the lighting and simple graphics. This game was ultimately very enjoyable all the way through the end but was hindered by glitches that are already mentioned in other comments. Overall, a solid project, and the glitches did not kill my enjoyment much at all. Good work!
I really liked the art style of this game it was very eye-catching. Great start for your first game but here are some means of improvement:
1) Inconsistent pixel-scaling between some of the art is something that can break the immersion. If you don't know what I am talking about, try to keep all the pixels in your game the same relative size.
2) The gameplay felt a little slow, boring, and repetitive. This can be fixed by adding a dash mechanic or a faster attack speed.
Overall, the game is a success and I enjoyed the experience!
