Heyy thanks for playing! I love the soundtrack too, you gotta thank @LordMungLIVE for creating it :)

A very inspiring quote (goosebumps).
Jokes aside, this is actually a great idea. I mainly thought about implementing a system that disables the shield for the last island, but this is actually also really cool idea. Thanks for the input!

I can’t believe the legend himself had the authority to comment under my little project… I‘m beyond honered. May the path of eternal wealth and happiness shine upon you!

Hahaha yeah the management-thingy between the different islands was one of the main ideas to make it a bit more challanging. But as you said it's unfortunately very easy to cheat, but hey, It's a jam game after all. I will definitely check out your projects later, thanks a ton for your feedback and for sharing your experience :) Maybe I'll even release a few updates in the next couple of weeks to fix some of the issues, so stay tuned ^^

Maaan I love to hear that you enjoyed it!! As you said it's always my goal to create something that feels like a "complete package" of sorts, and even though this game is far from perfect I'm very proud of it myself. Thanks a ton for playing and sharing your opinion! :D

Thanks so much, It’s so cool to hear that the concept really worked out for you :)  Yeah as you said the difficulty gets a bit too low after some time which is definitely a result of to little playtesting. But thanks again for the very nice feedback, means a lot to me :D

Hey thanks a ton! It’s amazing to hear that you had fun - that arcade-like style was exactly what we tried to accomplish :)

Wooow that's super nice to hear!! Like you said a few other people already pointed out that the score calculation gets a little messed up at times. But I’ll definitely learned out of the difficulty balancing problems with this game and will consider it next time! Thanks again for playing and for your feedback :)

Thanks a lot, hearing that you enjoyed it really means a lot to me :D We were actually considering stuff like a real progression system like you suggested but it was basically impossible to realize due to the very small time frame.

Thank you for playing!! Yeah, those are both points that have been critisized a few times by now and they are the result of waaaay to few playtesting (obviously due to the very small time frame we had). But I'll especially consider the balancing point in my next projects, so thanks again for your feedback! :)

Wow that was a really nice experience! I found the sound design and visuals of the gameplay sections to be very immersive and it really managed to create a big feeling of tension for me. And my god the character art and story telling blew me away, really awesome work for a jam game!! The only thing I can really critisize is that the obstacles aren't really that clear at first and that you didn't really do anything regarding the jams limitation. But otherwise really great work, keep it up! :D

I just can't get over how amazing the art for this game looks, absolutely stunning work! Otherwise really fun experience and cool gameplay concept. The only things I would maybe critisize is a lack of progression of any kind which makes the game a bit repetitive over time, but hey, it's a super polished product for a jam game :)

Really cute game! I really liked the extremely minimalistic approach you went with, and the concept is just very clever and cute. It's obviously a very simple game and maybe gets repetitive a bit too fast, but I think the foundation you build is really promising!

I‘m so happy that you took your time to play the game and enjoyed it! I was actually considering implementing a cooldown system, but couldn’t really get it to work the way I wanted to in time. But hey, another of those things I’ll definitely add once I should continue the project :)

And it turned out absolutely amazing! :)

Yeah, there are apparently some random glitches and bugs that appeared for multiple people, sorry about that. But thanks a lot for the feedback, it’s so great to hear that you had fun with the game, and maybe I’ll even continue working on it later :)

Thanks a ton for playing, really means a lot to me :) Sorry for the bug though, I don’t really know why this happened as I never encountered it during playtesting, but I’ll take a look if I should continue working on the project.  And good job with beating all the difficulties, I found them petty tough myself!

How do you create something that polished in that short amount of time?? This was so good, the gameplay and especially the gathering of the different materials felt super satisfying (it really reminded me of games like stardew valley or forager) and I'm very glad that some people took the concept of islands in a very different way. My only real critique is that I was kinda confused at some points, so maybe a tutorial or especially a map would have been helpful, but considering that this is a 3-day jam game I'm very impressed!

I'm beyond impressed! As someone really bad at creating game art myself I'm in absolute awe of what you created here. I also found the sound design and story telling to be simple but really immersive, and the gameplay concept really added to it as well. It's kind of the perfect jam game, congrats!

Amazing concept! The game felt super polished and I especially loved the sound design, everything just felt so satisfying. I really enjoyed my time trying to figure out the levels, although they were a bit too hard for my taste lol. I could really see this evolving into a bigger project, the concept just worked out really well for me and it felt really well thought out. Keep it up!

I actually found this one really fun! I already saw it on the discord server a few times and was really interested in it since you literally just started with game dev, and I'm really really suprised! Of course it's still a bit rough, but I found the movement to be right in the middle of challenging and intuitive. The only thing that really confused me at first was that there wasn't any indicator for when you picked up the heart. But again, since this is one of your first ever projects, I think you're off to an amazing start :D My record was 87 btw, I'm really bad lol

Thank you very much :D And cool stream btw ^^

Wow, thank you so much! Means really much to me to hear that :D Yeah, the hit collision is a bit whacky, that’s DEFINITELY something that I‘ll consider next time. But thank you very very much ^^

Yeah, you‘re right, it’s probably because of your aspect ratio, I‘m super sorry for that :I So I don‘t know what screen you‘re using, but maybe there‘s an option to shrink the image down to 16:9 in the Windows Settings?   Of course it’s kinda my fault and I‘ll DEFINETIVELY consider that next time, but maybe this could help.

Thank you so much for your feedback! :D Definetively things that I‘ll consider next time ^^ There was actually even much more music planned, but the timeframe was just too small.

Hey, super great game! Just spent around half an hour playing through the whole game, and although it was pretty hard sometimes, I had lots of fun with it! I really like the level-design and the take on the theme, but here are a few things that you can maybe do a bit better next time :D

- As many people already said: Make sure to fix the wall-bug ^^

- The movement was a bit hard to get into, but alright tho  ^^

- I would set the dash to another key, like shift for example. It happened a few times that I dashed into a red pixel without wanting to.

And that's it, thanks for this really fun game and good luck for your next projects, I've followed you so I won't miss it! ^^

Hey, thank you very much :D  Yeah, I actually tried to catch this exact style with things like the scanlines over the screen :)

HOLY shit this was so amazing xDDD This was BY FAAAAR the best jam game I've ever played, I really laughed out loud a few times xD It really killed me when I pressed the caps lock xD Thanks for this awesome experience :D

I'm really impressed! When I read that you wrote an entire custom engine  for this game, I was really stunned and amazed... Great work, keep it up!

WOOOOOW this was an amazing entry!! The art, the soundtrack, the idea, the execution of the idea: Everything was perfect! Voted 5/5, very good job and good luck for your future projects :D

That‘s weird... Just make sure you don’t move any files out of the folder, then try running the file called „Oh, I‘ve seen this one!“. If this doesn’t work, try downloading the game again ^^

I've really enjoyed this! :D I loved how you had to  use  your own strategy so you don't get caught, that was really cool! But here are some tips for your next Jam:

- Try to use some soundeffects! It feels kinda empty without any sound. I can recommend SFXR for sound effects and Ecrett Music for the soundtrac, both are AI-controlled and really great for the sound-design!

- I sometimes found it a little hard to find the "fire-point" of the character. Maybe mark it red or some other color so you can see this better ^^

But I mean, it's a jam game, and a perfectly fine one :D

It was actually really fun! I've enjoyed my time with the game and I'm DEFINETIVELY going to play this quite a few times again  within the next few days, trying to get the 100% :)   I really liked the take on the "Less is More"-thing and all of your programming-work  is really great!  However, I would recommend you to change the physics a bit when you're working on your next game, the physics here were a bit "icy" (or ice-like), as I like to put it! But well done, mate! 4/5 Stars from me :D

Oh my god... The trailer was absolutely AMAZING! Never had such goosebumps! I nearly cried, the story told was just too emotional for me...
