Thank you for the feedback and for the streamed gameplay. Happy that you enjoyed it. Initially, the game idea was a combo-based hack 'n slash stealth game. The double jump and invincibility bugs are due to that fact. I rushed some trainwreck code in the last days in order to make something that represents a playable game. After the first idea was canceled, we thought a RPG-based game with stats and due to that the enemies would have free movement without falling off the level and they would eventually respawn, but the time was too little for the scope of our ideas. BTW, the sword was just underneath the checkpoint in the cave :D
Hello again, I've just uploaded the game just for you. The windows executable version of the game is available at: edforx.itch.io/akio-win-version.
The password is SnoozeTime
Thank you for the feedback. I'm thinking for creating of some sort of portal mechanic in the end of every wave to spawn you back. There will be a major graphics update. Also the GUI will be improved - I think it will be in game ui, the user might have hp bar or something like that. I need more brainstorming on this. And crystals and coins will appear only on change and in shops.
The in game hint text will be replaced with signs.
Pressing down C works only for the uzi gun right now. The pistol, shotgun and sniper rifle don't have autofire. Now there is music and sounds. I added the sounds and music just after the deadline and had to revert back for the jam, because it wasn't allowed. Now they have additional rule for that, because of this game :D
I'm preparing a lot of new stuff, but I had more time and when there's no urge with deadlines, things happen slow.
Thank you for your comment! I'm really happy you liked it. I will make it a full game. I've though about some TD style mechanic as placing turrets or stuff like that. I will try my best to implement them into the game in the near future. The sounds are rolled back. Please refer to this devblog.
