I really like this one! I am not usually too fond of platform games in general, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. (and so did one of my kids) I thought the photo background and the sketch foreground gave it a very unique and charming look. And the concept of having to collect your action key is great and makes a fun puzzle to solve.
Feels like it could use either a bit more ambient sound or a light music track. The sound effects that is there is great but most of the time the game is a little on the quiet side. It tiny world theme is not strong as it was made originally for the GMTK's theme , but I am glad it made it to this jam. Great job!
Awesome animations and art style, but I'm not a huge fan of the backgroaund :p
Anyway great job, I really like this concept platform / puzzle thing. it was really fun to play. Well done!
Using photographies as backgrounds was something we thought about fairly late. Reality is beautiful, so it should be in more games.
That said, just adding the unadjusted photographies directly had poor results. They need a fair bit of adjustment to blend well with the illustrations. Finding the right import process still requires it's fair share of experimentation. Suggestions on what filters to apply are highly appreciated.
I like the moving animation. I love the little feeties. solid puzzle mechanic, could've done with a bit of music, but was great otherwise.
Great idea for a puzzle game! I would love to see a few harder levels. Difficulty ramps in puzzle games is always really hard to get right. What is easy for one person might be hard for another. Great job on the game.
Cool idea and gameplay, really original! Just cant refresh when I did a level wrong and got stuck.
Thanks.
You should be able to restart levels with the 'r' key.
Interesting mechanics. I wish there were more levels. It just started to be very interesting and it ended.
It's a neat idea for a puzzle game and you taught the mechanics of the levels very well.
Just finished your game. Enjoyed it very much. I wish it had more levels. I love the whole aesthetic and the art style .... Overall..Excellent!
Thank you. I'm trying to move as much of my art creation process from pixels to pen and paper, so it's encouraging to know that it's an appreciated style.
Such a neat concept, and funnily enough even though I knew the main mechanic I still found myself trying to go in ways I knew I couldn't. Some habits are just hard to break. That said it was quite fun! :)
Very fun! I don't think I've seen this idea before. And are those actual sketches for the graphics? They work very well.
Nice little puzzle game! I thought the level designs were very clever - esp going through walls to fall in the right place! Would have liked some music to make the atmosphere even better :)
The concept and level designs are so fun!! Wasn't sure what to expect with the name and description, but I was really pleasantly surprised by how fun this was. Going to echo what HeroRobb said about only really wishing it was longer and could see you developing this more!
I loved the puzzley aspect of this and the way you had to use both the vertical and horizontal screenwraps to get your controls back. The only real critiques I can think of relate to the time sensitive nature of a game jam, like length, music, and stuff. Basically I just want to play more. I liked that the little ghost tries his hardest to move if you press a key you don't have, but still doesn't go anywhere.
