This comment has made my whole week! I'm so happy you liked the game and the art!!

i was supposed to be doing other stuff today, but nooooooooooooooo- robo and team had to drop a new game. 10/10 would ignore my actual responsibilities again.

Yay! I hoped the internal dialogue would amuse someone other than myself :)

I'm happy to hear the dialogue felt realistic! That's my biggest focus after the plot making sense because nothing takes me out of a story faster than dialogue that nobody would ever say.

I'm glad you liked it! I wanted a 'low stakes' kind of forbidden love because I wasn't sure I could appropriately handle something heavier with such a short amount of time to write it. I also wanted Bianca's reason to ask you not to date her brother to be reasonable because I don't think I'd be friends with someone in real life who asks me to do unreasonable things.

Thank you! I am so glad I decided to participate in that first Velox jam- having to actually release something rather than postponing repeatedly while I try to 'perfect' it was really good for me.

And I'm so happy you got the warm fuzzies! I do think Bianca will forgive us too ;)

Thank you!! It means a lot to me to hear that 😊

First off- I really liked this format of choose two of five of the themes so much more than a single one. I didn't do the 2nd Velox jam because my brain kept trying to go to very dark places based on that theme and I wasn't in a good headspace to do that. And it's been fun to see how the different combos turned out!

I've never done such a short jam, and I couldn't really get started until midday on the second day because of real life obligations. Halfway through I really did contemplate stopping because I just wasn't happy with how my art was turning out. I've learned a lot about digital art since I started last year but I definitely need to practice more. I was very happy to see how much I've learned since my first jam (Velox Fabula)- swapping between different modes, adding a sound effect (and editing the sound file to be shorter bc the one I found and liked best was wayyyy too long- it would've been obnoxious), layered sprites, multiple endings, and I was more prepared for things like an itch cover image/ screenshots/description/etc.

I still have tons of other stuff I would like to learn for future projects- more UI customization, adding custom screens/buttons, point and click elements, mini games, and I definitely want to do a chat sim at some point. And I'd like to learn how to do a web build for play in browser.

I played through all the entries yesterday, after I finally woke up, and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was awesome to see so many different interpretations of the themes and I was happy to see how many entries the jam got. Everyone did a great job and should be proud of themselves!

I'm off to play a bunch of Stardew before it's back to work on my current 'big' project. Try to get some rest everyone!

Thank you! I'm quite pleased with learning the different mode options- switching from novel mode, phone, and the regular text box. And now that I've learned how to use layered images I shall never have a static sprite again! Mwahahahah!

Beautiful! Music was perfectly creepy too. I loved the how Dahlia's sprite danced around- it fit her character so well!

I dig the whole vibe. The art style, the music, even the fucking font just all feels perfect.

Your art is so gorgeous! Story well told, short and (not) sweet.

I am a Niine fangirl, ty for sharing him with us!

Wonderful storytelling! I'd love to read more about this world especially if it was bringing these two back together (hint hint pls more!!).

You made me cry. (I do not think that's a bad thing!)

(Also, I hope you got some rest after the jam!!)

You nailed 'doomed by the narrative'!

I love it all! It's amazing that y'all managed to coordinate that many people to make this within 36 hours. Just *chef's kiss*

I love Valen very much.

Kudos on such a polished game within the jam period! Art is fucking excellent!

I was able to play it through my launcher.

I am fascinated by this flower and the way you wrote Phen.

FYI- it appears there's something wrong with your game build. There's no .exe - did you do the "Build Distributions" action in the Renpy launcher before uploading?

I'm still gonna try to play it (I dropped your folder into my own Renpy launcher folder and it did launch the game) but I wanted to let you know.

The pining!! Ugh, I love it.

I really love your sprites- so simple but made a big impact.

I really like how you incorporated Enemies with Benefits into the story!

The feels!

I love Wynn & Ruth and am kinda hoping for a sequel where they track down whoever buried them alive in a coffin together. Also, Bennyice Truffleton is a hilarious name, and my favorite line was "NO ONE CAN PROVE OTHERWISE."  lol

I am so impressed that you made this in such a short amount of time!

I really enjoyed the art style & the music was perfect atmosphere for the story. And I can totally see the trapped with someone theme- we can feel trapped by what's expected of us (I can relate to Nettle a little bit in that way).

I just tried installing through the app and the game launches without any problem now.

I really enjoyed this story!

FYI- Not sure if it was a problem with my computer specifically, but I couldn't get the pc download version to work. I tried through the itch desktop app and downloading through my chrome browser but it won't launch the .exe file in either download. I ended up playing the browser version and it worked fine.

Thank you so much for providing this! I used it for my NaNoRenO demo entry and I loved being able to add texting to my story. I don't think I would've been able to figure it out without this system. Thanks again :)

Hey! Just wanted to drop in and let you know I used this pack to complete my NaNoRenO demo for my game Accidental Necromancy. Thanks so much for sharing!

I'm so glad you liked the shocked faces! Those were added last minute just cause I thought it would be funny!

Thank you! I thought at first that the stories were too unoriginal, but it seemed appropriate for 'tall tales' from the different characters. The bard was intentionally the most over the top and those were my favorite!

TY!! I went with the simplest art style I could think of and, while I'm still not satisfied, it turned out better than I expected! I will keep practicing and hopefully my next project will be better :)

lol, I'm just super indecisive so I put all my dragon hunting ideas in!

Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it!

That was so fricking cute!  Adeline and Abe are so adorable together, and I love your take on the theme for the jam. (also gave me slight princess bride vibes when nugget went "eeew" at the lovely man comment, lol)

I literally lol'd at the twist! The whole time I was thinking to myself, "why do i like such unhinged men so much?" and then the reveal! Love it so much, and I adore your art :)

I loved the time loop idea, especially how that first choice will jump you back to the beginning of the loop!  Great work, and I hope to see more from you in the future!

Everything about this is just beautiful! Ngl, I'm gonna be peeking at your code to try to learn about the ingredient adding so maybe I can do something similar in the future myself.  Excellent work, congrats to the whole team!  Also, I will be back to play again whenever you release Reprise!

Oh, the feels! I wasn't expecting the story going that way, I was giggling at the mall background "idk cute toys maybe," and then you hit me with that?!?! Literally crying rn. Still loved it though.

So creepy, but I loved it! I was not expecting that twist at the end and I really like the flashing images at the end (so much so that I scrolled back and watched it again a couple times!). Great work!
