Hello, thank you so much for trying out the game.
Wow, your feedback is very well appreciated. I see you got the intention/meaning begind the last scene, yey!
Also glad you liked the battle system that much. Tbh, I really need the feedback from it since the same battle system will be used in the future Lakserf game.
Again, thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the game. :D
Aw, thank you for trying out the game. I really appreciate it, especially the feedbacks. :)
And I do! But it would be on a different game which will be set like hundred of years after the "Creation". Planning to create a game page of it soon purely for game dev logs as it is still early in development. :D
Ok, right off the bat, I could already feel the vibe and ambiance of the game. I like that the sound, art, and background go really well together. If anything, changing the buttons to a custom one will make it stand out more.
The intro was nicely done. It meshed really well with what I got from the title screen. The first battle was also entertaining. I guessed right— the game really has an interesting battle system! <3
The storytelling is also nice! I mean those scenes where it's completely black and it's just the narration. I imagine it to have more impact and cool if there was like an actual cutscene showing it. Might take some time, but definitely worth it to watch in my opinion.
I can see a lot of potential from this game. It's very well done! It's the kind of adventure RPG that I would definitely spend hours to play. The story and battle system is what stood out for me. A lot of mechanics are present in this game so I also imagine it to be made as a bigger game. I can definitely see the influence of GI here, but with your own take on it.
Mapping isn't bad as well, but I can see it being improved over time. This is just me nitpicking though haha!
Overall, I really like this game! It's my cup of tea tbh. I enjoyed playing it. Thank you for this! :D
Aw, thank you so much for this honest feedback! I appreciate it. The game is like an intro to my main and actual Lakserf game so I will use these to improve it. I highly appreciate it. :D
Regarding the energy when starting a battle, it was intentional since I wanted to make energy management a part of the game. Your feedback and experience with it will help improve the game a lot.
And finally the last scene. It was intended to be the protagonist's turning point and have the players see what was really going on. :3
This game is so intriguing right from the start. A lot of things were happening but I wasn't overwhelmed. Had a good laugh with the glugh glugh lol! Yeah, I accidentally accepted the slime wife. Might replay this again and see if I could get a different one haha!
The custom arts were nice! Especially with the 1st scene. I just wished that the succeeding scene would use the same art style, especially with the tilesets and mapping. I imagine it to be more engaging if it was done that way.
Still nice! Really got me entertained. :D
Ah, sorry! I thought the screenshot I took pushed through. :(
Anyways, here are the details about the bug.
- It was in the map right after I first got the water ability
- There were 3 flames and I extinguished it (without getting the remains)
- After collecting all the remains, I immediately crossed the ice bridge. But then the map transitioned to the revived environment. It happened while I was in the middle of the water so I got stuck.
That was all that I could remember, sorry. :( And don't worry, it didn't stop me from pushing through the game. It was engaging enough. :D
Aw, I adore this game. I like the different mechanics used in it. It isn't anything new, but it's well executed. I was just kind of lost at the beginning, but it didn't ruin the immersion for me.
Also, just stumbled upon this bug? I had to restart my game because I was stuck in the water lol!
Very nice game, nonetheless. :D
Ok, I just finished playing this game. The atmosphere is the selling point of this game. The dev succeeded in giving that dark sci-fi vibe. Really like it. My stupid brain got me to spend good 30m trying to make the machine work though lol! This is just me, of course. :D
Some things I've taken note of while playing the game.
- Try adding/changing some sound effects during battles. I imagine the game to be more engaging if the battle has the same level of atmosphere given to the exploration and maps.
- I was dealing 0 damage to the boss and I saved right beside it. There was no way for me grind and gainsome level so I had to restart my game.
- Last, I saw a non game breaking bug, but thought you might want to know. I was able to walk on the walls on this map.
Other than those, very nice game. As I have said, the atmosphere of the game is really good. Thank you for the experience! :)
EDITED: typos :3
Hi! So I just finished playing and and I really liked it! Got me entertained all throughout. If I may, I'll leave all the things I've taken notes of while playing it.
PROS:
- Right off the bat, I like the vibe. Made me remember my "gameboy" days.
- I like the dialogues of each characters. Each of them has that depth, considering the amount of time they were introduced. Hunter stood out for me the most, I don't know why.
- The announcer is hillarious!
- Each character hit me. Sudden realizations and questions for my life. Help!?
- I thought I was killing it when I got Curl Shot, but then Deeno came. Love that monster lol!
- That ending was sooo satisfying! Too bad I was not able to collect all the monsters. I like how it has that replayability since I'm curious to see other monsters.
NITPICKS:
I considered these as nitpicks instead of cons since it didn't really bother me too much, but might help to improve the game more.
- Some typos (eg. When defeating Nina in the first round. It says "go" instead of "got")
- During battle, especially when its drawn to the bottom part of the screen, it's sometimes hard to keep track of the positions since the monster info gets in the way.
Overall, reaaally fun game. I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for this! :D
Hi! So just for short introduction, I've been working on RPG Maker for years but I usually just come and go. After so many years, I was able to produce a game again! Yey! :D
Lakserf: The Creation is a straightforward short story-driven turn-based RPG with a few puzzles. This is suppose to be a side game for my main game and it kind of adopted a few mechanics from it to this game, especially with the battle system and skill designs. If you're interested in knowing more about the world of Lakserf, please do give this game a chance. I believe this one is a great introduction of what Lakserf is and what it can offer.
Hello!
I just finished watching it. Sorry, I missed your live. Should've been there to at least guide you on what to do next. :(
Watching it made me realize that I have some things to add in the game like better indicator. Also a bug fix with that door.
Nonetheless, very awesome suggestions. Thank you so much for trying the game, it means a lot. :D
