Hi there! This plugin is excellent! Thank you for your work.

I wondered if it was possible to make the pick up and throw automatic so the player doesn't walk around with an item or hold onto it after picking it up?

Hi there, does this plugin allow me to show/move/etc. pictures below events with above player priority?

Thanks!

I just wanted to leave this somewhere people might come across, but I'm stunned by not only the workmanship of this plugin but by how responsive Sang Hendrix is. He solved MULTIPLE compatibility issues in less than a few hours. I've never seen someone support and stand by their product like this. I won't hesitate to buy another plugin from this page because of how amazingly this was handled. 10/10 recommended!

Will do, thanks so much!

Oh that's perfect (the chip idea), thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I purchased the plug-in and did run into what I assume is a conflict. I don't have Twitter to message you directly, but in a nutshell, it looks like Phoenix Kage Desu's ABS-Z and possibly the AnimaX plugins aren't compatible. I created a new project and put your plug-in there just to make sure I'm not a total idiot, and it's perfectly plug-and-play - and gorgeous, by the way. I really hope a patch can be made.

I also tested another plug I wasn't sure would work and found that HakuenStudio's Character Manager (where you can make an event shrink or grow) doesn't result in a larger or smaller shadow.

Hi there, this is phenomenal!

Just curious,  I use a wallet system to limit, then gradually expand the player's funds as the game goes on. Is it possible to add conditional checks or a common event after the plugin closes that would allow the player to transfer the excess money elsewhere?

Very interested in this. The effect looks better than the plugin I'm using and I just encountered a clash with my ABS system that put me back in the market!

Do you know if I make a sprite grow (specifically via the Hakuenstudio Character Manager plugin) will the shadow automatically grow with it? Are you aware of any conflicts with any other plugins? I'm curious also if it is compatible with Pheonix Kage Desu's AnimaX (which I'm also using) inside of ABS-Z.

Thanks!

I had this exact problem. Thanks, Casper, for being so responsive. That solution worked for me as well.

Dude this is so freaking cool! I cant wait to try it out!

This is a really cool idea! Does the smart avoid also work with other events? Is there a way to set the minimum/maximum amount of space to leave between them?

Awesome work, as always!

Quick little advisory in case anyone is considering this for the Phoenix Kage Desu ABS-Z system, this plugin works great for on-map enemies and multiple drops!

I used it to build a more randomized currency drop, similar to Zelda, rather than guaranteed money every time WITHOUT sacrificing actual item drop spots.

Casper is the GOAT!

One suggestion: mutually exclusive drops. If drop 1 triggers, don't allow drop 2, 3, etc.

Kind of hard to see what all is included. What breeds are here? Does this include walking sprites?

Stupid question, but does the pitbull animation include walking sprites for up down left right? The animation is excellent and there aren't really any resources out there for pits. Is it possible to edit the colors to be tan over white?

Great work!

I'd love to see a bulldog added! (Tan and white if possible).

Thanks for getting back with me.

::Edited after I had coffee and learned to read::

This is on an existing project that I'd sent a pre-alpha out on and a lot of the feedback was about needing a map. I did go through and uncheck all of the other plugins and the problem still persisted.  When I get back to my computer,  I'm going to try to uninstall and reinstall the plugin just in case I unwittingly did something stupid in the parameters.

One other question (and thanks for the hiding script): Am I able to specify what events show up on a map and what ones don't need to be on there? (And ideally, on an event page-by-page basis?)

Hi there! This plugin looks awesome. I downloaded the demo just to make sure it would work with the ABS system I'm using, but have every intention of buying the full version if it does.

My problem is that it is showing events outside of the map window and you can see my player icon about half way down on the right edge of the screen. Is that something I can fix? Also, is there a way for the minimap to become fully transparent during dialogue? Otherwise, this is excellent work!

Yup! That got it! Thank you so very much! You rock. Such a cool effect for making boss encounters feel a bit more imposing.

Definitely closer to home. The priority is right and the expansion and contraction worked perfectly. The shadow is just still a smidge too high up.

Mixed results. It DID make the shadow expand with the NPC, but it also made the shadows float higher, near the mid torso and they were above the character sprite. I tried to get the console, but I'm on an older Mac and every time I tried, it just caused NWJS to crash. So i'm sorry. Best I have is a screen shot.

Hi there, yes, it's just a circle and I considered doing that, but I also use a plugin that already saw me draw about 30 frames of animation for each character... Going through and adding the circle for all of the characters I had seemed overwhelming. The Galv plugin is for MZ and it is here:

https://galvs-scripts.com/2020/09/11/mz-character-shadows/

A patch would really be great, if it isn't feasible, but if push comes to shove, I can go through and

Hi there, love your plugins. I have a question about the character manager.

I use it to make my bosses grow to double size before a battle (makes for a fun effect). My question is if there is any way to let the plug in also make the shadow beneath the character (which is via the Galv Shadows plugin) grow with it? I wasn't sure how possible it was since you guys aren't working alongside each other. Alternatively - Wanna make a shadow plugin?!

Hi there, I just want to double check before I purchase:

Can I use this to disable the map name appearing on certain transfers, but not all? i.e. - If I transfer to a different spot on the same map, I'd prefer the name not pop back up.

I'm so sorry I got sick and just sorta caught up playing catch up, but the terrain tags do seem to work. I use regions to finetune some of the other things. Man, you do amazing work.

hi there! These work great! I didn't know if you could possibly do more with Poker, Blackjack, and roulette? I'd like to have casino minigames for a level, but personally know little to nothing about these games myself.

Thanks!

They are actually working together surprisingly well. It seems to mainly be walls that have the hiccup. Other B, C, etc. tiles stop me. It does seem like the jump impulse won't work, but I suspect that may be more so linked to a stamina system I have that toggles dash on and off.

More likely than not, this is due to the ABS system I'm using (Phoenix KageDesu's ABS-Z). It's great, but it definitely causes wonkiness with other non-PKD plugins. The jump system works well, and if I'm flush against a wall, the character won't jump through it, but if I start the jump with a tile between the player and the wall, the player lands in the wall. I can paint regions if need be, the system is worth the effort, but it's just tedious.

Hi there,

Would it be possible to add a feature that prevents the player from jumping through what would otherwise be an impassable tile, in addition to the region restrictions, but without otherwise having to go through and paint every impassable object in every map?

Actually, that would probably be better in the long-run; variables and CE.

This works amazingly. I put a link up on the ABS-Z Discord recommending it. The only thing I'd like to see added (if possible) is the possibility to add variables or scripts upon contact instead of just self switches. That would add even more versatility for these items in on-map combat.

That got it, thanks so much!

For what it's worth (and for anybody else curious), this works perfectly within the Phoenix Kage Desu ABS-Z framework.

Quick question - Is there anything to carry over to my project besides the image folder and the plugin files? I copied over the settings verbatim and I can pull up the window to select the tools, but the tools themselves are grayed out and the button is unresponsive. It doesn't break the game, it just doesn't do anything. I scoured the demo to see if there were any kind of initialization events or anything and didn't see anything; just the discoverable plugin command on the chests (Excellent streamlined process, btw). I switched all of the other plugins in my project off to see if it was a conflict, but it behaved the same way, which makes me think I overlooked something that needed to be brought over.

So, update: Apparently, I bought this when I first started learning the game developing process a couple of months back and completely forgot until I bought it again lol. Not even mad. You do amazing work and I'm beyond grateful for all the contributions you make to the RPG Maker community. Thanks for what you do!

Hi there. This looks AMAZING! Two quick questions before I buy:

1. I assume I can modify the images of the tools to something that suits my game (maybe a lasso instead of a hookshot)Hooksett?

2. Do you know if this is compatible with ABS systems?

I don't know if they would implement it at this time, but I'm definitely earmarking your plugin for a future project. Brilliantly done, great job!

Sorry if what I'm asking is off base, but is there a way to use an image predicated on a variable to denote what image to show rather than location?

i.e. - If I attach a variable to the main storyline progression, can I use a different image instead of the map location screenshot?

Hi, I love the idea of this plugin. I downloaded the demo, but it isn't quite working for me. Do you know if it is compatible with an ABS system (I'm specifically using Phoenix Kage Desu's Alpha ABS-Z) or does it measure the wear on durability only in the turn-based combat scenes?

Only because I'm running into some other compatibility issues, does this plugin work with the Phoenix Kage Desu ABS-Z system? I'm currently trying to find a way to bypass the "equip" menu and just have items selectable as either weapons or tools. Would this be able to achieve that without going through a menu process of selecting the weapon and assigning it to a character?

Thanks!
