In what way does your game fit the theme?
Rewinding a recorded sound from a tape is a core mechanic of our game.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all the code (except Unity :)) and made all the assets (Art & Sound) from scratch!

Not really my kind of game but it's cute. And it has a really lovely style. Pretty interesting take on the theme two. 2 "bugs" I encountered where that the background was scrolling by faster then objects while walking so that it looked like houses were sliding around and I wasn't able to record the thunderstorm while passing it the first time. So I had to walk back after a while and only then I got the prompt.
I honestly like this game. The music was charming, and the graphics were really clean and pleasant :D
It was well programmed too, I haven't encountered any bugs. The only thing that bugs me though (hehe) is that after destroying billboard my small brain wasn't able to figure out that there is a path. The map was also really big, which is kinda sad, cause most of it wasn't used. I'd love to meet more than 3 people.
Overall, "Playback" was a really good game that I'd love to play with more content during "long winter evenings" and I hope that thecreators of this game will continuie to build on the idea :D
Good game. The music is soo sweet, the idea is good and the art is beatiful. The only bad thing is that i cant listen the sounds very because of the background music.
Wow great game! The audio is sweet and calming, the art is also pleasing to the eye. I like the concept of rewinding tracks to help others out, pretty interesting stuff! One suggestion is that since the world is so big, it was a little hard for me to find something to do. So maybe there could be a way to solve that. Otherwise, its still a fantastic game, nice job!
cute idea!, but if the purpose of the game is to record sounds, wouldn't be nicer if the music sounded a little lower so we can also hear the sounds? just a thought :-)
Thanks for playing and the feedback! I agree with your comment.
We didn't have time during the jam to tune the audio sounds. We are actually fixing it by adding an audio mixer and tuning the different sounds volume! It will be uploaded when the jam voting period is over. Hope you will have time to check again :)
that was very nice, i felt relaxed and calm playing this, just wondering around searching for sound and which one works, sometimes i would have liked to have more interactions for sounds or at least one closer to another, saddly my game crashed while trying to rewind a sound and got stock on the rewind over and over and couldnt get out to the sounds menu, but beside that it was a great experience
Dude very Nice, I love the mechanic, the Audio and Visuals both en Pointe, and the game play is fun, and Im a sucker for paper style characters in 2.5d top work.! "a meow of a lazy cat" indeed!
Super cute graphics and very interesting implementation of the theme. Good job!
I really love the style of this game! It seems to have a mix of style between Scribblenauts and Animal Crossing. The one thing I would suggest for this game is to have the instructions only disappear after the player starts moving and reappear when the player isn't doing anything. I had to reload the game a few times just so I could read the instructions before they vanish.
Congratulations! The graphics and music are beautiful! It's really awesome that they're all originally created. The art enhances the theme well and the background music keeps the chill atmosphere. It was a relaxing experience. Great work!
This game is super cute! The music really made the whole feeling of it come through. I do think it was a bit confusing at first, and the villagers took a while to find, almost to the point where I wasn't sure if they made it into the game haha. I think if you smoothed up the playing audio/recording and gave it just a bit more life it'd feel like a genuine release and not just a game jam game!
I cannot stress this enough- I would LOVE to see a full version of this game. It was an exceptionally relaxing experience- I felt like I was a part of that location somewhat with all of the details added. The mechanic of replaying sounds to cause changes in the world is certainly a unique aspect of the theme as well- mad props to you, creator! I hope you continue working on it~
Graphics are really good.
Audio is amazing.
I liked how you understand the theme. Good job!
The art style was really cute! I really like the idea of recording the sounds and then playing them back. It was a really good use of the theme. I did encounter a glitch that didn't let me play back the lightning sound to the sleeping guy. (all other sounds worked except for that one).
Overall the game was really fun and I hope you continue working on it.
