Glad you liked it! And don't worry, even us devs couldn't get very far ^^'

Thanks!

Thank you, we will!

Nice game! I got ending 4/5, I hope it's the best one. I'm glad that your pet doesn't die when you lose a battle, made me feel much more relaxed. Some points of criticism:

Sometimes you decide your own actions, and sometimes those of your pet (where does it hide etc). I feel like it would make more sense if you only control the owner, and the pet should form its personality based on on how we react to its actions (just my subjective opinion).

The text was sometimes hard to read (I think in the end there was white text on bright background).

In the beginning the button says "Skip", which makes me think it will skip the introduction and jump right to gameplay. But if I understand correctly it's just to advance to the next screen and is mandatory to press, so I would rather call it something like "advance" or "next".

All in all the game was very chill and cute, and I enjoyed playing it. Good job!

Thank you for your on-stream feedback! I've heard it multiple times now that what feels fun about the game is not what you should do to clear the objective, so we will probably modify the gameplay drastically in a future update.

Interesting idea and good execution! But I am confused about the objectives screen. How do you clear an objective? The first one asks for blue irises and I got that, but nothing happens. Later I seemingly cleared an objective but I don't know how. Is there a bug or am I just doing it wrong?

Moving around with the bow was surprisingly fun! The game also looks nice, has good music and sound, and I didn't find any bugs. My only complaint is that it doesn't really fit the jam theme. I know you make the grass grow, but that feels more like letting nature heal, the plants don't evolve from scratch.

Thank you :) We will probably release a patch at some point to address the balance issues, and perhaps enhance the gameplay.

If we had had more time to test we would've definitely made it easier, the current difficulty is not as it was intended. Glad you liked it!

Yes I saw that in the stream. I will observe your career with great interest!

Very cute game! I liked the ending. I'm only surprised that the eggs hurt me even when they lie on the ground - maybe make them more menacing? Not a real issue though once I figured  it out.

Loved the concept and the art! The evolution system was a bit confusing, and I couldn't figure out the shadow wall riddle even with the hint (I'm sorry but it just made me even more confused...). I guess such riddles aren't the type of puzzle I'm good at. If you fix the bugs after the jam I'll definitely check it out once more!

Glad you liked it!

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you!

Thanks for the comment! I fully agree with your remarks on the gameplay, we didn't have enough time to balance everything better. Will definitely nerf the obstacle speeds in a patch after the jam ends.

This is awesome! I like that there is warning when you get close to something that can hurt you.

Nice short metroidvania! In fullscreen the attack didn't always work for some reason. Jumping across platforms did not feel as good as in most platformers, you might want to experiment with coyote time. And the dash was a little bit fast, more like a teleport, and dashing to the left was awkward because of the button mapping. Other than that I have no complaints, I liked the art and the lighting effect was a nice touch!

Your comment warmed my heart, thank you! If my teammates are up for it I would definitely like to continue working with them. I am glad you found everything felt in place, because for most of development we had the Wilhelm scream as a game over sound and I almost forgot to replace it!

You are right, although we have a few ideas for expansions it's probably only enough for a 1.1 patch that polishes and balances the experience a bit further. I will keep this in mind for our next project!

Thanks!

Thank you! Perhaps we will reverse the controls in a future update, I can see why they are a bit jarring in the current state.

Thanks! There are definitely balance issues. In fact none of the devs have managed to beat the game without cheats yet! After the jam we'll publish a patch.

In the beginning I was confused about what to do but once I figured it out it was fun!
