Audio and visuals were great. With a little more strategy from variety of cards and synergies (maybe a deckbuilding aspect) this could shape up into a fun little auto battler.
I can picture a few of the hands pulling out cards from a rift, and then you pick one to add to your deck and the others dissipate. Could frame the choice as a branching path.
Some good potential with this one. Nice job
Theme Implementation: 3/5. The time speed up feels adjacent to broken time, but not representative.
Special Object: 5/5. Microphone shooting sounds waves definitely covers it. Makes sense within the context as well.
Fun Factor: 4/5. A bit simple but short enough that it doesn't get tired. Not bad! The high combo ramp up is pretty satisfying. Just destroys all the notes instantly.
Gameplay: 3/5. There wasn't all that much strategy in the gameplay. Giving the jump a little more utility would have been nice. Maybe pairing it with temporary platform and starts within jump reach, but then raises higher, getting you closer to the notes should you jump on it in time. As it is, I just found myself spamming jump the whole time because there wasn't really a reason not to.
Audio: 5/5. Music speedup on combo chain is solid. And the slowdown on game over is a classic. The music selection itself is a bit generic/repetitive, but overall, the audio was very comprehensive.
Visuals: 3/5. A bit unpolished, but not bad. I don't love the purple and black noise pattern used for the background.
I'll remember this game for when the screen gets covered in sound wave projectiles and the detailed reviews its creator gives. Congratulations, nice game!
Nice game. I was definitely getting a little aggravated after 4-5 boss attempts. The random placement of the bubble shooting fish (3rd phase, I believe) seemed to have a pretty significant effect on the difficulty. Maybe only one side shoots at a time, alternating or randomly, with a little wiggle to show they're about to shoot. Just a thought.
Overall a very solid game. Good job!
