Oh yeah, I could eventually make a custcene where if you're low enough friendship with Morrigan he goes to the others and spills the beans only for Jay to be like "Well, yes, anyone with eyes can tell you, dear Trevor is a far cry from human." and Pazu would just be like "Oh yes, Mr.Whale, how astute." XD Morrigan is the prideful sort so the "empty threat" sounds harsh coming from him but really doesn't scare Trevor in the slightest haha.

Definitely gonna expand on the story way more! I also plan on having dialogue branch out based on who's infected and also be influenced by how much a character likes you.
I'm really glad Morrigan is getting fans through this! I've been cooking him as a character for over a year.
I might expand on the Assimilated screen as well. There's a bad end where Morrigan kills you for messing with his treasure too much but that's just gonna be like "ouch your hands were cut off" which isn't so fun. I may toy with something to do with Morrigan's curse since fans seem intrigued by it. Possibly some bug related stuff with either infected NPC's or even the player character (get "infested" status too much, maybe you start to get bug powers or change a little. Dunno the direction I wanna go yet).
The final boss is actually a midboss for the whole game (assuming I don't shelve this project lol), and has a planned "evolution" which may either happen midway through the battle, or maybe have them come back later and "shed their human form" and become something more horrifying and bug-like.
**Spoilers below:**
Obviously Morrigan's appearance aside from the obvious being a pretty-boy pirate is inspired by Isana from Oumagadoki Zoo and more specifically Isana's ability to turn into a sperm whale, as such Morrigan has a big paddle-like tail he uses to smack enemies around and uses clicks to stun foes. Additionally when he becomes a bug his appearance is inspired by several bugs but mainly a termite queen, mosquito and spider. I hope to make more animations for him as well as for the others, since the full game will have either Morrigan, Pazu or Dr.Jay able to be infected by random chance at the beginning. Which sadly in the full game means that the character will be locked after a certain point in story. Saying bye to the heavy hitter: Morrigan, the healer: jay or the one with fire/and parasite resist: Pazu. Along with their unique bonuses: Morrigan gives you price discounts, Pazu lets you cook (not implemented yet), and Dr.Jay helps you farm.
Ah well. I saw you joined the server, if you have any questions about the game or characters or even any other of my games feel free to ask!
oh yeah! Considering near the end I learned how to check for player levels instead of moves I could have the game give a small update on a quest per level to help feel like you’re completing a quest!
I could have Morrigan give you hints where to find the items too in the beginning, and make it easier to click on the sword too since some folks might not know you can walk around the blacksmiths counter.
But yes, it seems like it’s very important to clarify that the fish must be clicked on by your mouse to cast the line, since you’re not the first person to be confused by it and likely not the last.
I def recommend my other games for more lewd tf, though they center around anthro and feral cows.
Oh also there’s a werebeast transformation in this too, just have to find it~~ 😉
this seems to be a common issue but it’s not a bug: you have to click directly on the fish. I’ll have to have the game prompt you out of character to do that since I hate NPC’s breaking the fourth wall to explain mechanics. 😅
What I mean by that is I keep adding features to my game and now I might not have allocated enough focus on the primary draw. @w@; While yes, there absolutely WILL be TF it's not gonna be as prominent as I want, at least not in the demo. I will say there will be a LOT more if I make the full version. But so far there's mild shapeshifting with player characters and an optional cutscene with a werebeast (which I hope people find. :> )
While I will agree not to "make it personal" I don't think responding truthfully, frankly and objectively about how I feel about ai generated content is "swaying" anything. Frankly I find it deplorable inside and outside of the rules of this jam.
However, the topic in hand? I've said my piece already. I'm glad it's not allowed.
Exactly. AI a talent sim at best and a piracy and plagiarism tool at one of the worst. I paid for RPGMaker, I paid for my tilesets, any and all assets are paid for and/or credited. AI can't be. I'm glad it seems like the stance is pretty clear we all don't want AI. (Removed unrelated comment)
In short: I refuse to employ AI and encourage others to enjoy and utilize human made content as it better expresses the creativity of people, quality over quantity in every facet.
I'm perfectly happy with this decision. We're competing on our skill, I'm almost single handedly making my game with help from a spriter friend, and a coder friend, using PAID FOR HUMAN MADE tilesets. There's genuine effort in every aspect of my submission. If I had some hackjob ai slop even come close to me and my friends' efforts I think I'd lose even more faith in humanity. I have STRONG feelings on this topic. I'd rather not have someone cheat on their homework and get graded on the same level, you get me? AI conceptualizing is fine, but if you incorporate that into a large portion of the game I will only ever see it as cheating and cheap. That's my piece.
I haven't, I'll check in on that. I like what you're trying to do, though it was my mistake for not understanding what I was purchasing. As it's my own fault I don't think it's fair to try to force a refund. Don't worry, I'll still see if I can refer to some of the effects you taught in this anyway because it's not bad stuff, I just sort of already knew most of this.
Maybe a mistake on my part but I had assumed this was a plugin, it's decent reference material I suppose and wasn't a huge sum of money to lose but this is just simple character bust animation commands that, with the knowledge, any user could potentially do. Again, not really a big waste, just not entirely clear that it wasn't a plugin. I was hoping to save myself time I guess, but it won't work for what I had in mind so I'm still stuck doing it all myself.
Not so much as not preferred but it's been a while since I made this game. The timer is based on a plugin that is actually made to have day and night cycles. So if you can locate that, then you can certainly adjust that to your liking as you wish. I left the files and images open so folks could even put in their own images should they want a different model, or mod the game if they like.
