Hey, yancharkin. Here it is! The font looks great!

I'm really happy with the results.

You can list me as a contributor using my real name and my email: gabriel.albuq.f@gmail.com. Can you also list me on the Github page? My profile there is https://github.com/ngc-5194.

Hey, yancharkin! I'm sorry for disappearing. I've been working a lot on my monograph and I also tried to test the game as much as I could. I had to change a lot of things, but it is done now! Should I upload all the files to MEGA.nz and post the link here?

Hey, yancharkin! Don't worry, I'm going to do all the testing and necessary adjustments to the translation. I will also reduce the texts in the intro.

It looks great! The only issue I noticed is the missing "Ç". Look at this screenshot:

There is the word "CONFIGURAÃO" on the first two lines. The correct word is "CONFIGURAÇÃO" with a Ç (cedilla). Can you add the "Ç" and send me the files again?

I also think you are right, the upper glyph in "Ê" should be moved a little to the right, but that is a minor detail.

Thank you for all your help!

Hi, yancharkin! The translation of the text.json file is done. I also redrew the images in the images directory and I really liked the result. So both steps 1 and 3 are finished. All that's left is Step 2 of your guide. Can you help me with the charset files? I don't think I can draw the additional letters in the 'charset.png' and 'charset_small.png' files by myself. After we finish this step, I'm going to revise my translation one more time, make sure that everything is working inside the game, and make the final necessary adjustments.

Here is the link to the translated text.json file:

You are right! I copied all the files from the 'en' directory. I see my mistake now.

I followed what you said and it works perfectly. Sure, it looks different but it's enough to test my translation. I will focus on translating for the next few days. Then we deal with the charset files.

Thanks again for all your help!

Hey, yancharkin! Thank you for answering me so quickly Here is a link containing the file with the first 14 lines translated. I need to be able to use the following characters: ÁÂÀÃÉÊÍÓÔÕÚÇ. If I can do that, I can translate the entire game without any problem.

Hi yancharkin, how are you?

My name is Gabriel and I'm from Brazil. I am a freelance translator and I am also finishing a Bachelor's degree in Translation at the Federal University of Uberlândia. In the monograph that I will write as a requirement to complete the course, I intend to translate a game into Brazilian Portuguese and describe/analyze the whole process. I was very interested in your work and would like to contribute to the translation of Spelunky Classic HD into my native language.

I started the whole process that you described in the tutorial, but I immediately noticed a problem that I will have. The special Portuguese characters (Á, É, Ê á, é, Ê, etc.) cannot be viewed within the game. These characters disappear entirely if I use the base English files. Is this what you described in Step 2? I need all of these: ÁÂÀÃÉÊÍÓÔÕÚ. I have no idea how I'm going to draw the additional characters and make this work. I also do not know Python to use the other method you mentioned.

I am using the windows version files that you made available on itch.io.
