again, cannot finish installation

I downloaded itch-setup.exe and tried to install it but

1.the download speed is extremely slow like 20kB/s or so

2.it pops up error message and stopped the whole thing at random point

3. since 2. happens randomly, I cannot resume the download , I have to wait for the download and install process from scratch again and again

4.due to 2. and 3., I cannot finish the installation like forever

where can I find an offline install package?
the online installation really pissed me off

I was always thinking why no other game have such effect, is it too complex to coding/programing or there is a technical difficulties in implementing the effect?

a terrible game I have ever played, encountered many bugs in 5 min, first, you can mine things together with the drone but you can't collect them, you can't collect ANY resources

there is a chance for the mechanics to break down after the first fuel pile mining, so you won't be able to get silicon/ore (or whatever that is) to craft the gas extractor(or whatever that is) , you literally can't go anywhere but stuck on the first planet

even if you didn't have that bug and take off from the first planet, there is a highly chance to crash yourself during the landing process,

I tuned the speed to 0 and turned the ship  front in the opposite to the surface when the ship tried to land, but it somehow turns the direction for NO reason, head section touched down and my ship gone

and there is a chance to FALL into a planet when you walking around or when you trying to land on a different planet, besides, game lag severely for NO reason when I managed to land on a grey/reddish planet which close to the initial planet

IF by luck, you don't have any of these bugs, you will find out the other 7 planets(I don't know if there are more or not) are just planets there, no resources at all, you unlocked more craft item via discover new planets but you can't craft them, coz there is nothing you can mine up there, some planets need special suit to explore and once you landed, the message just stuck there...

last thing is, you can't save your progress, you can't save your video/audio settings, which is also annoying

I doubt that DEV ever actually play their game, or they just leave these bugs intentionally, coz its so OBVIOUS for anyone who ever play it

and here is the later story line

[remember what i told you about the moon implode thing?,well that was a long story, about 1300 years ago, i was assigned together with a squad to exterminate a huge asteroid which was on a collision course with earth, the plan was to put a z.p.e.b. (zero point energy bomb) at the deep center of asteroid and destroy the big rock inside out, but the explosion didn't go as expected,the composition of the asteroid was contained some very hard material,so it doesn't get destroyed entirely during the detonation, instead,the asteroid get separated by many parts and pieces,together with a large and destructive meteor showers falling toward the earth,and the rest were history...,well. long story short. we have failed.],

[at first,those who go underground,they lives, they have faced a huge destruction, the asteroid impact destroyed most of the facility on surface and the comfortable life of earth vanishes overnight, creating chaos and panic ,but there was a small group of people who have aware the radiation on the asteroid,they put their hope in radiation decontamination machine, yes, planetary decontamination,or so called planetary protection program.],

[the people in the past hundreds years have built some machine to restore this planet,surely, it will take a long time to take effect, but it didn't workout, not because of the machines itself, but they didn't expect the radiation brought down by the asteroid has spread and cause mutations that fast and lead to massive extinctions in the end.],

[some machine has built, but damaged or malfunction, because people who work there were all dead, no more maintenance...some other site,the construction is still underway, waiting for workers and materials...],

[years passes, more creatures has suffer from the mutations,they mostly died, as the part who didn't, has transformed into other kind, the large bipedal rhinos known as the karkadann and the frog-like carnivore known as the anura are both products of this mass mutation.],

[the remained human now only have controled a small part of the world,

the karkadann, think the machine is the cause of the mutation spread wide-out, they are refused to recover the machine or turn it back on operation.

the anura, think this is a good opportunity to control the world, because they are the only one who can dive into toxic oceans and bring back material or technology once thought lost...some vital parts needed to repair or finish the construction of the planetary decontamination machine...]

[the space around earth is now littered with the remains of the asteroid and it becomes nearly impossible to escape the atmosphere of earth. but maybe, there is other way out, if you can't get those planetary decontamination machine back into operation, some secrets lies below the horizon, deep in the water, holds the key technology to clear a path to earth orbit. well, you never know...]

the final goal is to fix the  planetary decontamination machine on the world map,(maybe 8), it will need different materials to "fix" it (like the act to fill the water trough or trade stall)
some on the map are directly interactive but some of the machines were held by karkadann and anura, player will need to finish their quest one by one and trigger the location for later.(

since we have a 34 by 19 size world map, so there are plenty rooms to make a good use!

when you are running the game in full-screen mode and died during gameplay, the game just LOCK in foreground, and stuck there.
you can't alt-tab to other program or window. I can't even  alt-tab to task manager either.

you will have to press windows key then click the program icon on the task bar to bring back the game.
and after that, you still can't alt-tab to other program or window, it still lock in foreground.

when you are running the game in windowed mode and died during gameplay, the game automatically minimize itself.
you will have to click it on the task bar again to bring back the window. (same thing happened when you hit "delete mission data")


weapon workbench can't flip, only the preview image flipped...

and I found save glitch (storage didn't save properly, it just disappeared), don't know how to reproduce it though

that's not the right place for you to build your base, the camp meant to resupply only.


to get the camp  functioning, you will need to build the "exploration_upgrades" in your base town first,

then buy things like tent or dinner table. or upgrades in there, 

so when you go to world map and create camp,

you can resupply your water, or heal yourself or the buddies in there

the 200 score trigger is a bit weird though ,
I gathered all the resources on the camp map, the base score have 236, which still pass 200,

 I tried to dismantle some dark_sand/dirt/rock/road_floors(83 at total) then it drops below 200 (around 180 I think)

the 200 score is still too easy to reach , because player have already build some things in previous mission
maybe raise the requirement to 260 or 270 or a bit higher?

A new tutorial mission added about animals and them needing water.
It has you create a woolie BEFORE you have to build beds.
I did this because it made sense to have a cloth income before you build a bed.

that's a bit weird, in mission tutorial 13,  it asks player to build 2 trade stalls
and in previous build,  tutorial 17,  it tells player to make the town more appealing by building more things.

then to "look at what we need to build a bed and start trading for it",

so I thought the idea was to ask player to get familiar with the trade booth system and obtain cloth(for the bed) via trading?

(get veggies from farm plot- > sell it at booth to get scrap -> buy cloth with scrap ->build the bed)


and the new wooly mission, the base started with a base dry storage 50 plus 2 wood crate =70 storage max

build during mission plus 2 wood crates = 90 storage at max

if player follow the mission line straightly, then there won't be enough room for the 100 woods and vaggies...


I made it so baby animals are invincible. 
Llama might also be invincible? I kept killing mine on accident so I turned it off. I'll add it back some other time.

shotgun blast works! (tested in normal mode)


I think I actually still have the Llama breeding in the game. If two llamas are next to a nest they make babies. HaHa. I planned on implementing that for other animals just got busy making other things.

it might cause performance issue... especially when you can't kill them


could be a disaster if some teletubbies try to mess up your base, steal your car , chase your back to kick your butt...

found some damage issues, tested in Dev playground ( didn't test on skelly, but I guess its all working)

grenade does no damage on chick/ chicken
grenade/ pistol/ sub-machine gun/ machine gun/ does no damage on baby_cow/ baby_wooly
grenade does no damage on cow/ wooly
grenade/pistol/sub-machine gun/machine gun does no damage on baby_llama/ llama
pipe/bow does no damage on llama

I'm not sure about whip but it seems fine though...

you can't build wood, stone floor/ blue,green,red rug on North-West/West/North tile of an existing floor

you can still build Rugs around wood, stone floor though, and vise versa,

but new banned zone will appear as well..

you can't build painting/ wall torch/wall light on the banned zone created by Rug floor

Metal floor, farm plot, stone path seems fine, no such problem (the floors in dev section are fine)

wall banner, wood shelf show red background when you tried to build them on any wall/window/door, but you can still build them



weapon workbench, car station can not be flipped, when you try to flip them, the preview image show them flipped.

but when you actually built them, it doesn't get flipped.

(weapon workbench does have image_xscale set to -1.000000 though but car station doesn't)
and the preview image of flipped car station is kinda off...

also, the weapon spawn zone may get blocked by obstacles,
unlike the car station, it doesn't show red background when the spawn point blocked by something


photocell, volt meter, switch, small battery and the farming, lumberjack, ranching robot don't have collision box

after you built the flipped robots, the starting position of the robots are kinda off

the image of flipped solar panel is kinda off, doesn't match the collision box

  • I recently found this game and I really like it!  but there are a few problems I'd like to address:
  • I can't get stone gate to work, after checking the prefab file, I found the stone gate doesn't have correct gate value, it should be 1 instead of 0 [edit: only happened in dev playground]
  • Skelly glitch out from building/obstacle, especially in a small space, they will flash rapidly.
    sometimes they just got flush out from the obstacle and flash next to you then kill you.
  • When entering a new area with vehicle, there is a chance to get stuck in the building, it depends on the spot you moved on the area, (if building spawn on the spot you choose)
  • if two interactable item are close to each other, you will have difficulties in using/interacting the object/item, (exp. two well)
  • if you leave tutorial during any case, the current objective will be skipped and proceed to the next.


  • In Dev mode, after you place all stuff and save, when you tried to edit the same prefab again, all items(excluding resources) get doubled , doubled wall, doubled floor, doubled door(you get stuck outside building), doubled well,
    it's really irritating when you try to fix your farm/town/house etc. in that situation. especially when you thought you had the plan went well , and suddenly you find all your stuff get sextupled.(yes, sometimes it goes sextupled, which mean you have to delete an item 6 times)
  • In Dev mode, when you thought you had deleted the old layout of your town/farm/city etc. it actually
    saves both old and new layout, causing items to overlap, which is really a nuisance for a long-time planning/building work(plus the auto sextupled magic), end up a huge , twisted mess, a junkyard...
  • if you save the prefab by accident/unaware the magical situation, the
    file will get "inflation" by the stacking items, increasing the file size and causing issues like freezing/ stalling during prefab loading.

  • In Dev mode,if you put obj_npc_town/obj_npc_kid, when you go to world map and enter an area, it only causes crash,

  • In Dev mode, Even if you removed the obj_npc_town/obj_npc_kid from
    any_object, it still save the status as you have them, causing the game crash with the previous mentioned messages.
  • In Dev mode, electric well will not produce any water and there is a chance that robot(whatever
    the type is) seem to active but it does nothing but hovering in the air.
  • if you turned off any automation robot and turned it back on, there is a chance that the work will not proceed. if you switched the mode of photocell during the connected automation robot working,there is a chance that the work will not proceed even if you turned it back on.

  • In Dev mode, you can't put metal beam/ oil barrel, you can't directly put tree/cactus, is it a bug or an intended implement?
  • In Dev mode, you can't edit the 3 main spots CAMPSTARTER/ rm_ellies_orphanage_starter/ rm_stevens_farm_starter, is it a bug or an intended implement? [edit: I'm stupid, so nvm ]
  • this game looks very promising, I pretty like the art style, but is there any possible to change the font style in the future? sometimes it's hard to read/identify the actually content/description, which make players hard to understand what the mission asked for players to do...
