I REALLY enjoyed this one.  Really good atmosphere, presentation, pacing, etc - despite the tight word limit, it never once felt rushed.  All the back and forth between Hazel and the main character was great, but I especially love that last section where they're rapid-fire listing story ideas, and that line about an egg that doesn't want to be born (with that whole tie-in to the idea of Hazel -- and the main character before quitting -- settling for creative mediocrity).  Those final few lines where she OK's the idea of a radio station for ghosts, and it suddenly cuts to black... Phenomenal!!!

😎!!!!!!!!

Woah, this was awesome!  The pacing and build-up to the ending was perfect - despite the short word count/graphical restrictions, it never once felt like you were fighting with them or anything.  The voice acting and presentation of it all was also stellar; thank you for making this!

Thank you!!  It was an incredible challenge to try and get across Lenora's whole ~character~ in 1k words, but I'm glad it worked out :D

Woah, this was awesome??  Perfectly paced, and the visuals/UI were AMAZING.  I love all the little stuff you added in, like how you can control certain visual elements in-game and how the dialogue is literally just closed captioning appearing on-screen.  Also, this game page is absolutely fantastic!

"Necromancer who dies to better understand the art" is such an awesome character concept.  This was a really beautiful read!  Absolutely adored the triple combo of art + music + UI and how they build an almost magical atmosphere in this work.  You guys did an awesome job!!!!

AAA thank you so much, I'm glad you liked them! :D

Thank you!  Trying to give an impression of the world was challenging with the tight word count, but I did my best :^)

Thank you so much!!  Lenora truly is  a silly woman...

Thank you!  Lenora and the dialogue are the parts I'm the most proud of, so I'm glad you enjoyed them too :D

Thank you so much for your kind words!  And double thank you for letting me know about the download issue - I'll go ahead and upload all those other builds today.  I honestly wasn't sure what the difference between the windows and pc builds were, so I guess this answers the question...

I really enjoyed this!  The funky music + hyper-filtered background + art style all paired really well together.  I also really enjoyed the duo of Emma and her demon companion who seems... kind of unimpressed with her, but is gonna help her get a job anyway.  Also loved the line about her not getting the job by saying she would be "peach tea"

Oh, wow, I forgot about the judges playing the games - I'll definitely make sure to wait a bit to give them time to look over all the submissions.  Thank you for the clarification!

Hi!  I had a question regarding this clarification at the top:

You can:
- update your game after the jam is complete (we highly recommend making it available as a separate download for posterity's sake, but this is not necessary)

Is "after the jam" just any time after submissions close on the 14th, or is there a time period wherein participants are encouraged to play the games, and then the jam is "officially over"?  I'm trying to be strict about keeping with the gamejam's rules, but there is an edit to my game I'd like to make at some point that would disqualify it from submission, and I'm curious as to when I'd be able to go back and update the game after everything is done!  Also, apologies if this was answered already, and I missed it.

The mechanics of this game are great!  Seriously my favorite of the jam so far.  Amazing job on those + the level design around them :D

I wish there was an expanded version of this game, because even though this felt a bit incomplete to me, I really enjoyed what I played of this game!  There were a bunch of small details I really liked, like the animation of the main character waking up, how you have to physically stir the coffee drinks to make them, and so on.  As other people commented, I also experienced the ice bug!

This was fantastic!  Art is amazing, and the mechanic was executed so well.  I was genuinely sad when I finished - it was so fun that I didn't want to stop playing :^)

This game was really fun!  I thought the shrinking/growing mechanic was really well-executed - loved how intuitive a lot of it was, as well as the progression of difficulty.  There were times I had to step back and figure out how to proceed, but I never felt frustrated.

Hey, I was the artist on this!  Thank you so much for your helpful feedback.  We're hoping to update the game once the voting period is over and fix the issues you mentioned with the gameplay, as well as add some other features that'll hopefully make it more balanced and fun to play.  We'll definitely make sure to take your criticisms into account for that :^)
