Congratulations on 2nd place !
Thank you! I really appreciate that
That was amazing! There's so much to love about this game.
There are so many animations for the main character, and they're all fantastic—from the squash and stretch to how they flow between each other—truly making them feel alive. There was a clear sense of progression in difficulty throughout the game. And the combination of character and environmental mechanics was really fun, there were a lot of things happening but it never got overwhelming thanks to good level design.
I was enjoying myself so much that I ended up laughing multiple times when I panicked or when wacky things happened as a result of this interplay of mechanics. That final level took me a few tries, but it was just satisfying to repeatedly smack the guy with a bunch of blocks.
Great job! ♥
Thank you so much for all the kind feedback! ♥♥♥ I'm happy you enjoyed it
The block both acting as platform and projectile is a rather novel concept, and it executed exceptionally with the help of the restriction.
The game is not on the easy side, but hazards having pause and play icons on them helps players visualize the environment better. The checkpoint flag felt impactful because it doubles as a midpoint.
I'm so glad you can jump through the blocks you spawned too.
Music isn't your strong suit but you even changed certain music's pitch to fit the occasion, 10/10.
Thanks for the detailed feedback and compliments! You noticed a lot of little things and I appreciate that. Also, I like your avatar. It's so relatable
Loved the art! The animation of Bonnie is very cute. Stopping time and spawning blocks is a really fun mechanic. Well done! :)
Fun little game with lots of character. Looks like we had a similar idea with the block spawning! Really love the combination of that and the time control too - makes for some fun puzzles. Good work!
Thanks! That block spawning mechanic was all I could think of doing in the short amount of time I was giving myself for this jam. I'm happy to see lots of people like it
Fun game and as always amazing artwork. :)
Hey, neat seeing we're in the same jam again! Thanks for playing and commenting
Yes it was a nice surprise :) Of course. I really enjoy your stuff
I enjoyed the gameplay, as well as the adorable player 😊
liked the mechanic of stopping and resuming the time, also cute player animation :)
Very cute and smooth game with cool mechanics!!! Cool level design
Thank you! I've been getting a lot of nice comments on the level design. I'm glad I spent more time on it than usual
The mechanics of this game are great! Seriously my favorite of the jam so far. Amazing job on those + the level design around them :D
Thanks! Hearing that it's your favorite thus far feels nice
Squash and stretch on a small sprite :D
Solid stage design too!
Thanks! I'm happy you appreciate the squash and stretch. I thought it'd be the best way to give such a tiny sprite some personality
Nice game, well thought out and polished !
Really cool game! I loved the mechanic where you could spawn a block. The in-game instructions were a great addition too!
Thanks! I figured in-game instructions would be the best way to teach mechanics
Very fun and polished game!
The level design and mechanics are clever and fit the theme perfectly! Great game!
Nice work! lol, great game and level design incrible.
One point that I found very good was the graininess from easy to hard that was very smooth. Unfortunately, this is rare in the games I've tested.
Thanks! Making a smooth difficulty curve is often a priority for me.
Very creative! I love the mechanic and love that you can place the time-affected blocks as well. Makes for some good puzzles!
Thanks! I rarely make puzzles so I'm happy to see that so far the game has been well received
I didn't make a game about this idea because I knew somebody else would make the same game as me, but better. And I was right. You brilliantly implemented this idea and both the level design and the art are cool.
Also, I didn't know about the Nokia 2210 jam 😆
Thanks for playing and the compliments! Also thanks for catching my typo. I'd better fix that 😅
