First off, the artwork is absolutely adorable—seriously, huge props to Clo! Paul did an amazing job with the coding, SFX, and the BG music, which was super catchy and fit perfectly with the game.

I have to mention again how beautiful the pixel art is. I love the smooth gradient effect on the pixel font too, it looks so cool! The arcade style gameplay is super satisfying, and everything feels really polished. The controls are simple and easy to get into, which makes it fun to just jump in and play.

The difficulty reminds me a lot of Flappy Bird—simple but tricky to master, and that’s what makes it so addictive. The different power-ups are a great touch, and after a few plays, I really appreciated the variable jump feature. It allows for those small adjustments and without it, the game would probably be more frustrating. That little detail made a huge difference, loved it!

The art and music really work in this game! It took me a while to get used to the float of the dash but it was fun to get better at. Great work!

I love games where getting better is the fun of it (Fighting Game player haha) so I take that as the highest compliment! Thanks :)

Such a cute and fun game! :D I think the difficulty level is well balanced too! Well done! ^^

Developer

Thank you!

I love the art and the atmosphere of the game! The music is also a nice choice. I really liked that you can arrive at multiple platforms not just the topmost. It is a very polished game and one of my favorites so far :) Great job Paul and Clo!

Developer

Thank you! I hope you eventually got into the swing of it (eh? eh??)

Great art and music + the game feel was pretty good. I had some trouble timing certain jump heights where it seemed like I was barely missing the jump or had no choice but to jump/dash into an enemy on the oncoming ledge, but I see the vision!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I've there's a lot of control in how long you want to hold the jump for which helps a lot. Also you do have to take debuffs every once in a while in order to keep going, I wanted that level of difficulty! But maybe I overtuned it haha

love the art style

Thanks!

Love the art and the music. It really gets you into the cyber vibe :)

Maybe it's because I'm a bit old, but the high contrast background and the visual effects were a bit much for my eyes ^^'

Still it was a pleasant experience, good job :)

Developer

Apologies if the visuals were a bit much. Hope the gameplay made up for it haha

Really love the aesthetic and atmosphere of the game. The music and sound effects are great!

I had some issues with figuring out what was platform and what wasn't and with the slow falling, other than that it felt really good!

Developer

Yeah the clarity of the platforms could definitely be improved, but I ran out of time haha. Thanks for the kind words!

This is great, the added bit of air control really raises the skill ceiling for an infinite runner!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I love a good high skill ceiling in my games (which is why I liked your entry so much haha)

An interesting idea to bind jump and dash to one button. It's engaging and makes you want to progress further. And the pixel art is simply magnificent, I really liked it!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

The art is absolutely beautiful.

The music is super good

The game is super polished

The only problem I had was that the the screen was a bit cluttered and I coudn't really tell which was a platform or background or something else but that could be a me problem since no one else is having the same issue and some of the buildings seem a bit too high to reach normally

Overall it's really good and probably the best in the whole jam

Developer(+1)

Loved it! The art style is amazing and honestly kept looking around the screen at first just soaking it all in 😀

I did like that after a few play throughs you can learn new ways to help reach higher buildings. Did feel you can get better at it just by playing

It reminded me of Junimo Kart. Which i loved when playing Startdew Valley

"You can better at it just by playing" is the highest compliment anyone could give me about a game I made, thank you 😭

Submitted(+1)

It is am amazing way to play. Dont need tutorials to explain just learn by playing.😀

Favourite moment was being able to find out that i can use the sign to jump higher but not all the time cause I would jump and miss the next building 😂

Wow, I love the aesthetic of this game! The visuals and music are so good! The gameplay is simple and sweet so can't complain. I like how the map has mobs that interact with platformer mechanics.

Very occasionally I would have a building spawn that I just couldn't land on even with a max height jump, so if I would improve something it would probably be that part of the algorithm. Nice though, I like the simplicity.

Developer

Yeah, there's a few cruelties in the building spawning code for sure. The main one is that the Mos Burger building (green with a sign saying next left) currently counts the sign as it's highest point which can make getting up on to that sign and the next building quite tricky. I didn't have time to hard code an exception and also in the end I just felt that the difficulty was part of the fun; but it's a fair complaint. Thanks for reviewing!

Art is amazing and theme implementation is simple and enjoyable I like it, I wish I went simple and smart like you.

Developer(+1)

Simple is always best for these things, I learned that lesson the hard way haha. I was expecting your game to be over complicated due to this comment but actually I think you've got a simple smart concept yourself! Thanks for playing :)

The art in the game is awesome! I wish the character had a double jump, though—it would save me from so many deaths. It's a bit tricky to tell what's the 'floor' with all the building signs and stuff, but overall, the backspace double function mechanic is interesting

Developer

Thanks! I did consider adding a double jump but I decided against it in the end so that dash was always accesible. It is definitely tricky atm, and the building spawning algortihm isn't perfect, but that's just the nature of jams. Thanks for reviewing!
