The only way I've seen to get neutral factions to like you more, other than freeing their people from the prisons of other factions (the ancient vault is amazing for this) is to sell and buy stuff from their merchants. For hostile factions, you don't lose relationship for taking out their people and you can free them once you've captured them to get some relationship. There might be other methods, those are the ones I'm aware of.

There's a few ways to get out of prison, the simplest is to do everything you're told to do and be obedient, eventually you're allowed more freedom and can look for an opportunity to get to a ghost or to a shrine to get help with your bindings. But it's also quite possible to end up in an unwinnable situation once you're stuffed in all the bondage the wardens can fit if you can't find a shrine to pray to or can't get something crippling off at all.
I noticed that later when I got the offer to train trainee mages and started recruiting ALL of them for my staff. Now, the only thing I'm not sure on is how to bring prisonners out of the collection so I can lock them into stands, right now only the staff are doing that automatically with the prisonners selected for the struggle snuggle cuddle lounge.
A lot of really solid info. The fact that you can bring people you've recruited, in particular, is extremely useful information and I'm going to try doing that my next run. I should probably get the command tree just so I can keep them alive until after the elevator because god that sarcophagus fight is nasty, I hate those.
I've poked around and it seems incredibly difficult to get any servants currently. Everyone I capture is (understandably) angry at me and even filling up the cuddle lounge, prisonners gain at most 0.3 per 'cycle', however long that is. I've yet to see it have any kind of effect and it kinda feels like I'll just go forever without any progress on this.
Am I misunderstanding something about this? And is there a way to recruit friendly NPCs?
Unless you specialise in the leather magic tree, which has a lot of specialised restraints for dealing status effects, dropping a quick stun and then forcing on a bit of bondage gear can be really powerful. God knows enemies putting security locked mana drain ballgags onto me tends to mess my runs up something fierce.
That's good to hear. At the very least, I feel a second unarmed attack 'weapon' focused on charm damage would be nice when none of the weapons are appropriate. Or when the player's a bit too tied up to use anything appropriate. Mostly, I'm thinking of cases like with frustrated pets which, right now, don't seem worth it at first glance.
I've begun playing the game yesterday and I absolutely love it, but it feels odd to me that once I have someone bound up, all I can do is attack them until they're helpless. Other than using CMD: Explosive finish or sex toys, I can't seem to find a way to deal charm damage which has me a bit sad, it feels boorish to capture someone and then just... hit them into submission. I'd much prefer to coax out submission like that and I'm feeling I must have missed some kind of spell or function.
