Hi! If you’re still lost, what you need to do is return to each of the rooms where you got the original three runes, you should find a Soul Reaver monster at each location. Once you’ve done that, return to the rune temple. :)

I know this is an old topic, but I wanted to give this a bump as I think this is a great idea that really should be pretty easy to implement. I have 5 games on my page and potentially adding more soon, and it’s confusing at a glance to know which games are which in the analytics bars. Being able to assign each game its own color would help tremendously for this.
Heheh, I caught many of those layering errors but there’s definitely still a few here and there like the one you found I’m sure. Thanks, I will make note of that one for if/when I do release any other patches. Glad you had an easier time of it! Though yeah I may have overcompensated for the difficulty curve a little bit. Ah well. :)
Hi there! Glad you managed to find it again, and that it had such an impact on you. I’m pretty proud of how it turned out, there’s a few quality of life enhancements and gameplay/story changes, among other things I’ll leave to you to discover! I can’t promise the bunnies don’t still screech, but it has been lessened by a good amount at least. :) Have fun!
This is an interesting concept, though since the other side is always moving it’s not quite going against yourself, I think? Really have to pay attention to where they are going to try and track where they are and not get caught. Could use a little bit of UI polish, I was unsure where the charging stations were until I stumbled across one.. and still haven’t successfully won. But good job I think. :)
If you still are looking for a game, you can check out Winter, recently completed Zelda style exploration game: https://hatchet2k4.itch.io/winter
All the above is so true. I really hope itch’s product team replies to this, because this is actually a feature they are losing money on. If people can’t sell their game on itch because of a lack of revenue sharing, that’s money they could have gotton a cut from and are completely missing out. It’s definitely needed if they want to compete with other store fronts.
Fully agree with revenue share, I have a couple games that I am working on with others that I want to be able to revenue share with them. I understand there are some complexities involved with which users are assigned to the project and making sure they are all set up to receive payments as well, but I don’t think that’s insurmountable. This absolutely needs to be a feature.
Hey, thanks for giving it a try! Yeah that area where you fall was intended to be blocked off for the demo since the map it connects to was never finished. And yeah the other weapon was also only partially implemented. The demo is more of an engine demo than anything with any real gameplay. But the new version we’re building in Godot is already pretty far along for features. The next demo that comes out will be a lot more expansive I think. :)
I wanted to announce that my action-adventure game, called Winter, will be releasing on December 24th. It will be free (but with the option to pay what you want if you feel it’s worth something to you)! That said, I could use some assistance with play-testing, if you want to get an early copy!
It plays a bit like a Zelda game, but with levelling up and skills to find. You can expect 1-2 hours of mountain and cave exploration gameplay, and far too many killer rabbits out to kill you with sharp, pointy teeth. ;)
A couple screenshots and a video of what to expect:
Please note that the game only runs in Windows due to the engine it uses. Sorry about that!
Hello, thank you for the interest! It’s actually made using an engine called ika. It’s definitely similar in vintage to RPGMaker 2000, but a lot more customizable with Python scripting. :) And yeah, the cliff tileset is definitely FF6 inspired.
You won’t have to wait long, the full version will be out in about a month, and you won’t have to pay for it either.
Hope you download it then!
Hi there! I’m a programmer looking to team up with an artist! Though I’m not sure yet how much time I will be able to dedicate to this jam, I do want to at least get something fun submitted, and I’ve done my share of gamejams in the past.
You certainly have some amazing looking pixel art, very stylish. Would be interested to team up, for sure. I’m on the Dungeon Crawlers discord if you’d like to discuss. :)
So I want to join the jam in some capacity, dungeon crawlers have always been a small passion of mine. I am a decent coder, with a lot of my game engine experience in Python, and am learning Godot. I also know a good deal of C#, Java, etc, and am willing to learn any engine!
My issue is, time isn’t nearly as available as it used to be, so I’d rather team up with another team to help out instead of take the lead on a project. I can help out with coding, mapping, design, or other aspects, just don’t ask me to draw art or make music, haha!
I’m pretty open minded on genre or style of game, and am curious if there are any teams coming together that could use an extra hand. :)
