Hi thanks for the feedback. I fixed spawning on the roof on level1. I put the player there to record something for the video and forgot to change it back. Also to advance to the next level you have to use the interect key. (W for M+K and North Button for Gamepad). It seems like it's not intuitive so that's something I can definitely change. And yes, the audio is just a placeholder and will be changed.  Again, ty for the notes I will work on some of the other things soon.

It was a fun game with cool art, but it had a few problems. I found one where you can exit and re-enter the up/down level just by flying to the side. It also would have been more fun to put the coins in patterns in the middle of the water like a mario game would so they are more satisfying to collect. Overall though, it was a solid game with cool art. Good job!

Don't worry, I didn't let them steal of our dang fish. Fun game, good job :)

I really like the concept and the mechanics are executed very well. I will say tho it is kinda OP to sit at water level and teleport passed the waves. There should probably be some incentive to go up because it's easy to dodge most of the obstacles this way. Overall though great game :) (my highscore was 3670)

A couple people have been having that problem. Try playing using a mouse and keyboard, you hold space to jump higher and you need a double jump. The first level is less of a tutorial and more to test the limits of the movement. I didn't realize it would be so difficult.

If you're talking about the very first tall black rectangle you hold down jump to jump higher (requires a double jump)

Sorry it felt unfair. The first level was designed to force you to use all of the movement abilities before progressing to combat. Passing the black wall requires using a dash. I use a keyboard and mouse so I designed the controls for that. Dashing uses LShift so it must not have a native bind to a controller. If you're still interested in just being a rock you could use LShift to get past the wall then go back to how you normally play. The game will be more difficult without using the dash, but it is still playable once passing the wall. I'll make my game more accessible next time. Thanks for the feedback

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1176351 Here's mine! Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Also, I didn't realize being sent back would be that much of a deterrent. I'll add a level select after the jam. Thanks for the feedback :)

I really liked this game, very fun. Audio, movement and art are all very good. My only note is some checkpoints are really easy to take one hit and run through with invincibility. I like the option of not having to fight them, but maybe adding a stun or a movement penalty when hit to stop people from just running through. Great game though, nice job!

Very fun game. The level up system is great and I really like the pixel art (fire rate is kinda OP tho). Only complaints would be that it gets really easy the further you go and I got trapped in the wall a couple times. Other than that fantastic job  :)

I like the simple art style and the general vibe of the game, but some of the levels were difficult and felt more luck based (a lot of spamming the same spot waiting to get the key on level 8 for example). I think this game shines in the simple levels because of the timer mechanic. I liked it a lot and played it three times, good job :)

Gets VERY chaotic, but is still fun. Nice job!

Great concept, I especially like when things come out of the machine like in the vampire boss fight or when you kill an enemy. Its also really fun and challenging not shaking the screen and predict the bosses without being able to see them. My favorite game of the jam so far, good job :)
